Darkerdemons I seem to frequently manage forum-based games that require a lot of supervision and/or time commitment. I hope a lot of these games offer users something new to participate in though. If the users enjoy the game, I don't mind the extra time required.
At least this game doesn't require nearly as much work as the maze game I was considering. lol i can't even try to imagine how much work goes into organizing/managing this ;; though i think this concept is pretty cool! so great job w that!
how did you even get that game to work, haha? especially if there were a lot of people playing asdjklfjasd it seems like fun, but so much behind-the-scenes stuff would be needed

Thank you! ^^
<.< It helped that to start the maze game I was still using my desktop. The last few days I was on my iPad and that was when simple updates got a lot harder to complete.
I used the first letter of participant usernames as position markers (fist two letters if more than one participant had the same first letter). The maze image on the bottom image layer remained unchanged for most of the game. I just deleted the black squares that were on top layers whenever a user explored a path. From there it was just writing in new position markers and erasing old markers.
The maze was definitely a game that requires daily updating though; not only so participants can better pick their directions, but catching up on two or three days takes a lot of move tallying and image editing.

?? you make it sound easy, but i feel like just putting that together would be difficult HAHA something on that scale does seem interesting though.
i've always felt that doing some type of social/card/board game type event would be fun! but if it was something like mafia or werewolf, if it's a slower thread it might not work out as well. so, in that sense, the maze game is better? since it doesn't require constant interaction.
ANYWAY i digress! even though this isn't as complex as the maze game, you still did a great job with it! having different "levels" to complete makes it more interactive, but not to the extent where you'd be swamped with updates LOL
