Jack felt it necessary to break the terse silence.
"So... Seen any good movies lately?" Jack laughed.
It was a pathetic attempt at humor, but they needed to lighten the conversation up a little anyway.

"No kidding, hey? I wanted to see Sin City as soon as we got back to L.A. So much for that. I wonder how it was," Jack laughed.
It was good to finally find some neutral territory.
((...I know it wasn't around back before the crash yet, but it was the first movie that came to mind! xd ))

"Yeah, I had a date, too, actually. By now she's probably convinced I stood her up," Jack chuckled.
Despite loving Kate by some strange rite, Jack missed home. He missed his wife. He missed familiarity.
((Aww! I have to go. Oh, well, I guess sleep IS necessary, eh? I'll be online tomorrow evening for a little tiny while and tomorrow afternoon during my spare at around 12:30pm Mountain Time.. I think that's the timezone. Heh... sweatdrop and after school for an hour. G'night! We can continue this tomorrow!))

Jack figured that by now his wife had completely lost all hope. She probably thought he had run off with some exotic woman or something. Unless she had heard about the plane crash, that is. Jack turned around and walked back up onto the dry sand. He slipped on his shoes and turned to Boone.
"I'm going back to the caves. See you in the morning," Jack said lightly.
With one final nod he left Boone sitting on the beach. Once he reached the caves, Jack collapsed on a spare airplane seat and almost immediately drifted off to sleep.
((how is it that I've gone and managed to forget Jack's wife's name?!))

Sayid sat on the beach, the radio beside him. He had a smile on his face and he chuckled to himself. "I am a genuis!" He replied loudly.
"Sure you are sweet thing." Sawyer's sarcastic voice said from behind Sayid.
Sayid rolled his eyes. "If you'd like to know why I am such a genuis, you must ask me kindly and not badger me with your idiotic blah!"
Sawyer frowned, smiling. "Idiotic . .blah?"Sayid looked over at him and Sawyer sighed. "Okay rambo, what did you do?"
"I fixed the radio to where we can talk on it all the time if we need to." He replied.
"And how, pray tell, did you do that?"
"I'm not telling." Sayid grinned and got up, stretching. "I'm going for a walk." He looked around and saw Charlie. "Charlie, come and watch this for me!" He shouted, then walked off.
Sawyer frowned and went after him. "Why can't I watch it?"
"I don't trust you."
"What? WHy?"
"Because you are an idiot."
Charlie chuckled to himself as Sawyer and Sayid continued to talk back and forth, giving each other smart remarks. He sat down next to the radio and sighed, looking over at it. "I haven't seen you around these parts lately." he said to it. "Gone to any good concerts lately?"

Boone nodded and watched him go. He then turned his attention back to the ocean and closed his eyes. He was so bored and felt alone. Though he didn't want to go back to the caves..to many things going on there at once.

It had been an hour now and Sayid and Sawyer still had not returned. Charlie, in that time though, had gotten some grass and had made hair for the radio. "So, now that you're not bald anymore, would you like to carry on the conversation from earlier?" He smiled. "Alright. I was in a band . . .I remembered that a few minutes ago. I think I played the guitar or something like that. Really? You played in a band as well? Which one? Oh, Green Day is a very nice band. I love their work. You had a crush on one of them? WHich one? Whisper it in my ear?" Charlie gasped. "NO! Him? Really? Oh, don't worry. I won't tell a soul."

Sun walked out onto the beach and looked up at the dark sky. Everything had changed in her life in only a month. She was stuck on this island, and her husband was too proud to give them another chance together. She was alone in the world when everyone else thought she was dead. Everything had changed, except for the moon. It was one of the only things that made her happy again. In the darkness of her soul, it was a light that gave her hope, and reminded her she had to live to help the others. She smiled at the moon and sat down on the soft sand, becoming very drowsy.

Jack woke up and yawned, stretching luxuriously. The sun had long since risen and was climbing higher in the sky with each passing minute. Jack sat up and then stood. He walked over to the waterfall and splashed some cool water on his face. He decided to organize some things around the cave before heading out to the beach to see how everyone was doing.
((Just have one of the characters walk in and create a scenario!))

He's got it dressed up in grass and he's asking it who it has a crush on." He chuckled and ran off. Charlie sighed. "You know. I met this pretty girl. Her name is Claire. I haven't talked to her or anything, but when she smiles at me, it makes me feel as if I know her. You know?" The radio sat there. Charlie nodded. "Yeah. Been there before have you? Really? Tell me about it."

((God, I'm sitting here laughing hysterically at poor Charlie.. xd ))
Jack tried to absorb Walt's words. Was Charlie seriously talking to a radio? Jack understood that Charlie was still confused after the past month's events, but a radio... Jack sighed and grabbed his backpack, tossing some stuff into before heading off towards the beach. A short trek through the jungle later, Jack found Charlie settled in the sand, holding a radio covered in grass, just like Walt had said, and talking to it. Jack rolled his eyes and went to sit beside the young man.
"Hey Charlie, who's your friend?" Jack asked, motioning to the radio.
((I have to run out and pick my friend up from the mall. I'll be back in 15-20 minutes!))
