Who is Sanaa?
Being born a princess but a slave for life, she feels a bit like a martyr. Not that slaves have it too bad in the Mwezi, least of all her (everyone knows who her mother is and they'd prefer to not have the queen be upset with them ofc). She feels like she can be a go-between for slaves and other, higher ranks and give them a better voice and better representation. Hopefully so none of them would ever be inspired again to serve a crazy ruler for his protection in lieu of the Great Lion's graces they lack.
She's more sad about being the only girl but with the recent explosion of cubs in the Mwezi she has plenty of female playmates to grow up (including several half-sisters haha) with so she takes solace in that, though. Granted it's not exactly the same as having a sister. At least she's not an only child!
