"Nah, I got it. Everything's cool." The geist flashed Ayuu a smile, crooked teeth bright against his dark skin. "I've got a couple of these guys at home. So long as I keep him warm, he'll be okay." Bo didn't really know if that was a hundred percent true, but seeing the worry leave the grimm's eyes in response made the statement worthwhile even if it wasn't. Besides, he was almost certain it was true anyway.
Eveilyn walked past a game where cotton balls were tossed at targets and decided to give it a go while a nixie was busy talking with the booth nightmare. This way if she botched it no one would really notice. Not that they would pay attention anyway but it made her feel better. Setting down all her belonging she tried the game and smiled when she got to add a plushie to her collection. She tried once more but didn't have as much luck the second go around. Still happy form her victory she decided to try some of the other games in the and really had no luck but as a consolation from the ring toss game she got a nice set of bell earings.
Somehow managing to talk the nightmare into letting her take over just long enough for them to go get a quick snack. She handed out plushies to lucky winners with a big smile on her face and even called out to passing nightmares to come and try the game. After all what was a festival without some fun! When the actual nightmare who was supposed to run the booth came back they had brought her a drink as well as gave her a plush from the booth. What a sweetie! With that good deed done she moved on to go see what else the festival had to offer.

Verve tilted her head in thought, pursing her lips as she made hmmm-ing sounds. "Yeah, managing to cast actual full-on illusions, that would be super rad!" She skipped ahead to twirl, her tail and wings managing to clear a space around her as she spun. One hand held up an imaginary skirt, while the other motioned as if twirling an invisible baton. "Plus, think of how much you'd save on costumes! And props!"
But another thought occurred to her, "Of course, if you had to do like, actually passing stuff around, or have a sword-fight scene, you'd still need authentic props. Cardboard on cardboard just doesn't sound right when it oughta be metal on metal."
She stuffed her hands into her pockets then, waiting for her two new familiars to catch up. "I dunno 'bout divination, checking in on the future's never been something I was good at. But I'm definitely taking Dance. Oh! And maybe swimming, I heard there was gonna be a swimming class!"

Ryker snickered at the goblin's seductive tone. "Oh, baby," he said teasingly as he posed. The mention of food set his tummy to rumbling and he remembered that he'd only had some candy and sweets to eat from the party. The flash of a camera phone brought him back to reality and he blinked. "Hey! No fair," he laughed and tried to grab for the phone to delete the picture, but Matty was too quick for him. "Trust me, there'll be plenty of blackmail material, and no chances to use it," he grinned.
"Mm, food. I don't think they have any actual food here, just sweets and candy. Or, at least I haven't seen any real food but we could totally go looking. If not, there's this awesome diner near campus, actually. Open 24 hours!" he said with a grin. Clearly the Grimm had taken advantage of the all-night diner more than once. Speaking of food, a nearby table was giving away candy canes! Ryker snagged a pack and grinned.

Okay so she couldn't resist. She snagged one more bracelet for herself before she raced off to find Cyril. This one was red and green mixed, and fit well with the solid bracelets she had already layered on one wrist. Right! Time to find Cyril. Nico on her shoulder squeaked and flew off, making her gasp. "Nico! Where are you going?" she followed after the creature, her fennekits close on her heels. When she found her flitterat, there was another with him! And Cyril was just a few feet away, too! She cooed to Nico and got him to perch on her shoulder once again before holding her hand out to the second flitterat. "Here, cutie~ I think Cyril will like you!" she giggled. But when she looked, Cyril was gone! "Oh, no..." she sighed and began her search again.

Drayden hummed softly as he walked around. Ori seemed to like the noise; the little wisp was fluttering back and forth over his shoulder and around his head. He chuckled softly at the wisp's antics, trying not to run face first into his familiar. During his walkabout, Drayden came across a table piled high with books. Hmm...some of these titles looked interesting. He wasn't usually much for reading, but the mountains on the cover caught and held his attention. Ori even seemed interested in it; he kept flicking back and forth over the picture. Drayden smiled and bought the book, tucking it into his stocking for later.
With her fluffbug on her shoulder, Zeta tried her hand at another game. This one was a guessing game, and she won a black and white plushie, and a black bracelet with snowflakes on it. Her lips quirked in a barely perceptible smile. "This suits us much better, doesn't it, Duchess?" she cooed softly to her familiar. The black and white bug fluttered her wings and cuddled closer to Zeta's neck.
She was about to go try something else when something hard hit her ankle. "Hey! Watch it!" she scowled and turned around to see who the perpetrator was. A Nightmare, of course. A Chimera if she wasn't mistaken. "Keep your extremities to yourself," she huffed.

Nikora smiled brightly at Hailey while picking up another bracelet to add to her collection. While the other girl said she didn't have to answer as they moved to the gym she did anyway since Malachi was also interested. "I like science! Math was ok but science was better and one day I am going to do alchemy~" She said with stars in her eyes so to speak.
She looked around the gymnasium with interest then smiled at Malachi when Hailey ran off. "Hope we end up on the same team anyway~" She started to follow after the giest. "Lets get our stuff so we can play~"

Milo held tightly to Nora's hand as they walked around the rest of the festival together, his eyes looking up to her with admiration. She'd sold twenty Solstice themed bouquets this round and a bunch of other flower themed presents as gifts! That was amazing! He couldn't help but wonder just how many flowers were in each bouquet and how many people she'd talked to. Who were they? Why did they want the gifts, and who were those gifts for? Everyone had to have some sort of story and he wanted to hear all about each one.
"Wow, mom, someone wanted you to make a custom order?" He gasped, his mouth opening wide. "Was it for a wedding? A birthday? Tell me more, please!"
Melanie had wandered a few paces away from the boy and his mother when she came across a small alcove with a seat. It looked comfortable and meant for someone to take a rest in, so she decided to take a short rest and watch the festival for a while. People watching was fun, just as long as you didn't look creepy doing it. You saw all sorts of interesting things if you waited long enough.
"Come up here, Holly. Look at those kids playing over there." She said, motioning to them as Holly hopped up on her lap. "They look like they're having fun, don't they? ... I'm glad I have you here to keep me company, even if you were an unexpected gift. Otherwise, I'd be here watching people all by myself. It wouldn't have been as much fun without you."
Hunger was more than just starting to weaken London's stamina as he went about the festival. He knew he had to stop sooner or late to get something to eat, but he couldn't remember which way the cafeteria was! Had he really gotten himself lost on campus when he'd been living here for years? He sighed, glanced around, and gasped. Someone from class was close by, maybe he knew where the cafeteria was?
"Hey, uh, Zephyr? It's Zephyr, right?" He asked, patting the Fallen's shoulder. "I'm starving, do you know where the cafeteria is? ... Not that I think you hang around there all the time, I mean, I'm just lost."
Zephyr paused as soon as he heard London calling out to him and squinted toward the purple haired boy. Who was this kid? He looked familiar... He wanted to say London? Yeah, it was probably London. He recognized him from science the week before. He seemed pretty smart, but Beta seemed to think he was weird. Zephyr didn't really care about what Beta had said about the purple Baphomet at the moment, though, because he was heading in the same direction he was.
"Pfft! I don't take any offense to that, sheesh. I know I like my food." He laughed, before turning to point down the path. "I was actually heading out to get another cup of noodles before they run out. Just follow me and we can take our time getting back. I'm kind of bored with the festival."
Valerian, after further deliberation, decided that it might be wise to get his sister a present to earn some brownie points with her. Maybe if it was a nice enough present, she would forget about everything bad he did and she wouldn't want to tattle on him anymore? It didn't seem too likely, but it was probably worth a shot. He shuffled his feet when they came upon the next booth and he quickly nabbed a pair of necklaces.
"Blue for me, and purple for you!" He cheered, before noticing the pink one dangling from her neck. "Aw, no fair! You already have a pink one! ... Do you want another one?"
Now, Dahlia knew exactly what her brother was planning when he grabbed those necklaces and offered her one of them. This was nothing but pure bribery, he couldn't fool her. However, even if pink was her favorite color, she really did like the purple necklace. She'd take the gift as offered, despite it being a bribe to get her to lean in his favor.
"Thank you, Valerian, how thoughtful of you!" She said, patting him on the head. "I'll wear both of them so I can glow like the brightest star in the sky! Plus, pink and purple go very well together, don't you know?"
With her mind made up, Isabelle slowly started making her way towards the festivals entrance. On her way, she passed by yet another librarian who foisted off a book on her. This one was festive at least, so that was a plus. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too cliché. Sliding through the crowd, the nixie didn’t notice the small, golden wisp floating after her. The brown skyfish who was her companion certainly did, though it made no move to scare the small wisp away.

There was no sign of Bibiana anywhere around him, and he wasn’t in the area they had just been in. He must have stumbled away when the birds were fighting over him. Cyril shot them a baleful glance, not that they noticed, and thought about how to find his friend? Acquaintance? He wasn’t sure what they were at this point, but he did know that he rather liked Bibiana’s company.
While he was mulling it over, someone thrust a red bucket full of enchanted cotton balls into his arms. Both cockatriels hissed at once, and the offending nightmare scuttled away with a “Happy Solstice” thrown over their shoulders. Eyes wide, Cyril looked at the bucket and then at his stocking. There was no way this was going to fit. . .

After Kanda’s win, they left the bean bag game to try the one immediately next to it. It had a small pin with assorted familiars to the side for the prizes. From Vüsala’s vantage point there weren’t any flitterrats and he heaved a sigh of relief. The last festival he had been to had somehow lead to them acquiring a new pet that he swore up and down that he’d managed to get rid of. A week later he’d gone into his kid’s room to discover the same flitterrat, or it’s duplicate, running around having a grand time.
It had been . . . something, to say the least. Turning his attention to the game, he tried to let Kanda go first, but again she insisted that he go. With a half-hearted smile aimed at her, he went through the motions again to show her how to play this one. A black fox plush holding a bright green lollipop was dutifully handed over after he won. Another small shrinking spell and they were both tucked away into his stocking. While he was thinking about it, he took Kanda’s stocking to give it the same enchantment while she played.

The game next to the bean bags had pets as the prize. Visibly excited, Kanda forced her dad to go first again. In her pocket, Flitter was starting to make quite a bit of a ruckus. Thankfully, Vüsala didn’t appear to notice and she was quick to take advantage of his distraction to calm her new pet. Practically flying through the game, she was surprised when she actually managed to win something. It was just a small pet, the game keeper said, a match for the one in your pocket. Then he’d winked at her as he held out the red patterned flitterrat that was almost a twin to the green one in her pocket.
Flitter hadn’t been able to resist the smell of a new rat and clambered onto her shoulder to get a better look. The two of them happily ran around on her arms and shoulders and the little grimm giggled as she accepted the candy canes as well. New friends! New friends!

The food stalls were, not surprisingly, pretty busy. Ares managed to scrounge up both a bag of peanut brittle and a bag of the peppermint bark. Dipping his hand into both, he popped a piece of each into his mouth and chewed happily. Now he just needed a mug of cocoa and he could make his way back to the cannons. He’d taken long enough that he was pretty sure the teacher he’d nailed in the face wouldn’t remember. At least that was what he hoped.

Her brief scan of the crowd hadn’t shown her any teachers, but Jeanine had caught sight of a dart game. Hurriedly closing her bag of peppermints, she put it into her stocking and weaved through the crowd to play it. Darts wasn’t a game she was particularly good at, but she managed to win a giant red lollipop. With an excited giggle, she added it to her stocking. “Happy Solstice!” she chimed to the game attendant before moving to go play the next game over.
