Quote: I'm participating in the exciting and vibrant agricultural market! He had waited so long, so sure that the price of punkins would rise. In the end, they were only worth a measly amount of tickets. He pouted. Why was this evening ending on such a sour note? The whole night had been great, but now everything felt like it was amassing to a failure. Oh well, at least he got one ticket out of it.

Leeroi tugged at his lusus' leg beckoning her over to the community pot. "I've got one punkin left! Lets put it in the pot!" Leeroi sped off with his last crop, eager to drop it in to help the community cause. "We're gonna sample some, right?" He asked, tapping his fingers on the edge of the table. He could hardly contain his excitement. All his hard work was amassing to this one, delicious bowl!

Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: nothing! Tickets won: 1 While the festivities were still going on, Vremea searched more through the hay, practically flinging it away from her person from irritation. Her patience was quite large, however, her irritation grew more and more with each passing moment, and by the end of her search in the haystack mountain, Vremea was simply done with it. Maybe making mooncakes would calm her down...

Autumn had at last fished out the final terrible ingredient. Slopping it onto the ground, she heaved a sigh and hopped off the stool. Her work was complete. She wiped at her brow, where the steam from the pot had collected. Her whole face felt warm. Maybe it was time for a sit down. Waving for Caterpal to follow her, she started towards a nearby haystack. There she could flop down, maybe count the stars and rest for a bit. Behind her back, Caterpal tossed in one of her failed mooncakes from before. Certainly that would make the soup appealing. Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. What should've been a theraputic process of creating the perfect mooncake was ruined by the undercooking of that very thing. Her haste to have a good mooncake ruined it. Her irritation merely grew more and more, and while the cakes were good and tasted amazing, were chewy, and Vremea had (finally) made the most perfect stamp, she had undercooked them.
Why. Vremea tried so hard for this. So!! Hard!! It was ridiculous. Maybe she'd do well... another time. She knew the recipe now! She could make it again, someday. Hopefully.

A quick inspection of the next vegetable she was to drop in the pot was all she needed to make herself remember how important it was that the pot tasted good. If she was to take a little more for the rebellion later, then maybe, it was better for it to taste better. With quick fingers and good inspecting, she brought two crops this time, dropping both of them in the pot eagerly-- Now that it was almost finished, it felt even better to do so. It needed all the help it could get...!

Amidst the pile of straw, Lutrin saw a silver glimmer. Her pump biscuit began to beat faster. Was that...? It looked almost like... Yes! Yes!! It was! She dove for it, fingers scrabbling through the straw. A second later she popped back up, face triumphant and needle in hand. “I found it!” she trilled. “I found the needle! Look-look-look-look-l... oh no!”In her wild gesticulating she had lost her grip and sent the needle flying. For a moment, time stopped. The needle spun through the air in slow motion. Then, with a flash, it disappeared back into the haystack. Lutrin stared, arms still raised in a victory pose. Slowly, very slowly, she sank to the floor. Her nose pressed against the dirt. “Hello straw.”Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: nothing Tickets won: 1

Sometime before Keionx approached him to talk, Ephias continued his search through the hay. He was a troll on a mission. He had to find that needle. It was vital to his well being. It proved his worth as a contributing member of society. It was his destiny. ... Maybe not any of those things. However he had nothing better to do, and the task at least kept his hands engaged while his mind wandered to other subjects. For instance, the origins of the lusii and troll relationship, and what had come first. As he searched he stirred up some dust. It tickled his sniffnode and he sneezed. But, then again, she wasn't really paying attention to the haystack. She nodded to Ephias – he was always so focused. She'd always admired that about him. ”I am... well.” she said, ”Indeed,” she said, managing a smile – it wasn't hard to smile at Ephias, but, gog, the feelings... They twisted and coiled and she felt... inspired? Nervous? It was hard to say. ”I am having fun. Tis a lovely thing, a festival!”She was so done with the haystack. ”I'm glad to see thee, too” she asked quietly, leading him away from the haystack of hopelessness, ”What has thou been doing?”

Quality increase: +1 Barter crop: n/a Tickets won: 0 There had, luckily, been just enough time for Nahori to sneak home and change before the end of the festival. In fact, sneaking hadn't even been necessary. Guinamom was off somewhere, roaming the plains as she occasionally did. It was pleasant, the silence of the hive as she changed and took a moment to debate whether or not she should bring her stuffed snoutbeast back with her. The answer was a resounding yes. She'd even thought to bring a crop to add to the community pot this time. Surely that was better than parsley and pocket lint.
Squeezing her plush close to her chest, Nahori sighed. She felt... surprisingly good. There was even an almost-but-not-quite smile on her face as she dropped the carrot into the bubbling stew.

Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: Nothing 8( Tickets won: N/A Hell yeah he wanted some of Leeroi's moon cakes! Mooching was the best. He took more than his fair share, not giving a darn, and went on his merry way while Leeroi did his own thing. It didn't mean Leeroi was off the hook, no, but he could sure think it for the time being. A temporary bribe. In his free time, he took a minute to catch his breath after such a huge chase around and around. If Leeroi was starting to one-up him on stamina, Guo was prepared to be pissed. He'd need to be harder, faster, stronger, and be the noogier, not the noogied.
He was prepared to grumble a little, but saw the haystack again. Well, they had been fun, and kinda comfy. He still wanted that needle, too. Guo hopped in one last time to try his luck. After searching and searching...nothing.
The blueblood spat out hay as he climbed out. "There's nothing in there but cheap buttons! What a load of crap, man."

Keionx Rutace Current crops: 3x Punkins, 6x tarnips, 0x Totato Action: Turning in Crop gain/loss: Trading 3x punkins and 6x tarnips for 4 tickets Tickets won: 4
Keionx made a final stop by the produce stand to trade in her produce for the night. The prices hadn't reached the amazing high that they had been previously - no one-to-one trades to be seen, which was a shame. However, she did get a neat four tickets out of it... before she remembered that she had been trying to get a supply of produce for the swamp settlement...
Oops. She'd just have to hunt something down later.

As she approached, she spied... A ROTTEN VEGETABLE. That was unacceptable. Keionx let out a snarl and, snatching up a spoon, swooped in with all the ferocity that she could muster. There would be. No. Rotten vegetables. in. this. soup!!! Some concerned onlookers - maybe some who had imbibed too many mooncakes or some of the sugary tastings - could have sworn that her braided hair flew out improbably behind her like a cartoon, or that Epic Theme Music played eerily in the background, as she drove her spoon into the stew, ripping the rotten vegetables from the brew with, perhaps, an overly dramatic gesture before putting in a lovely fresh ingredient and stirring with great determination. As she returned, flustered, to her guard post, she wondered - breifly and a little embarrassedly - whether her ingredient or heroics added more quality to the stew...

It was time to say goodbye to his beloved punkins. Amonee gave each one a good polishing before handing them over to the farmer for the exchange. He was going to miss their bright shiny colors but he had to admit it was nice to not have to worry about lugging them around or storing them somewhere anymore. Nucleo had mentioned something about liking the tarnips so he opted to trade one of his punkins for a tarnip as well, planning to surprise his friend with the gift.
"Thanks, that'll be it." The young boy gave the farmer a polite nod and looked over his collection of tickets. What to use them for? He had a lot of options now and needed to ensure he got the best deal with them!Quote: I'm participating in the exciting and vibrant agricultural market!
