All that was left was for it to crack. She laid down on the uncracked side, and knocked her fist against the other side of the crack. The head slid off of the monster's body, toppled and crashed on the ground beside it, and left her to jump off of the quickly falling body a moment later. "Tadaaaa." Dawson was in utter awe of Maebe's ability to wreak havoc. Not that he wasn't normally, but everytime he witnessed it, he felt that familiar fondness mixed with do not piss her off-ness. He applauded her with a broad grin and cheered, "That's why yer Supreme~!"
It was her kickass example that fired him up. Dawson plowed right through the pond, tearing off vines that tried to impeded his progress with a whooping cry.

"SUPREEEEEME!" Dawson crowed louder, even going so far as to tug Maebe up into an energetic huddle-bounce.
Which was a good way of making sure she wasn't left behind when the hydra came at them.

Daws was particularly needy in support this time around, as the hydra had scared the bejeezus out of him after having gone a while without seeing its many ugly mugs. He kept a hand at Maebe's back as he peered at the temple, spying nothing thus far.
"I shoulda kept a record've how many times we done did this now," he murmured as he drank from his water bottle. "Make a song outta it. 99 runs through the temple fer s**t, 99 runs through that shiiiiit..."

Maebe was no more particularly needy than usual, which meant she kept subtly leaning back into his hand and reveling in the way just that one touch felt. She was a cat at heart. "Let's just assume it was 99." She murmured, as she gestured that the coast was clear. "That means this will be 100. We can have a party when it's over."
