Is that American Sign Language? hehehe you're a teachers dream aren't you biggrin I don't particularly like homework but I do enjoy learning things .... most of the time lol. I love homework, but I still tend to leave it to the last minute. Bad mix. This time I genuinely forgot there was homework until I was reading through the textbook and saw my note "hw pg 14-20". It is American Sign Language. 3nodding I'd been putting off the course because it is so expensive and with my hearing impairment I'm somewhat pissed that it costs to much for a skill that could help me and others who are deaf or hard of hearing. I understand learning other languages would cost just as much, but for ASL I feel it's too much. evil A friend said she was taking the course though and wanted to practice with me if I knew it - if I didn't she invited me to join her. Now I'm teaching it to my father, who sometimes has some communication troubles too.

Darkerdemons It is American Sign Language. 3nodding I'd been putting off the course because it is so expensive and with my hearing impairment I'm somewhat pissed that it costs to much for a skill that could help me and others who are deaf or hard of hearing. I understand learning other languages would cost just as much, but for ASL I feel it's too much. evil A friend said she was taking the course though and wanted to practice with me if I knew it - if I didn't she invited me to join her. Now I'm teaching it to my father, who sometimes has some communication troubles too. I always left it to the last minute too. Work better under pressure lol. I understand that learning a language costs, but sign language shouldn't be treated the same way. I know French and English are official languages of Canada but is sign language too? Just curious, because NZSL is one of the three official languages here. Being able to communicate is a basic right, it shouldn't be expensive to learn it. It's not like there's a mad rush to learn it for career furthering purposes. Although, you might find if you got into healthcare field that you get it subsidised or free - it's running free at my work at the moment but I can't go at the time that it's on. That's fabulous that you're teaching it to your dad too, I always find that teaching it to someone else helps cement it for you. And bonus, two people to practice with!

One of my guilds is having a guild picture put together, so everyone is encouraged to dress for summer at the beach. My avatar has on what I have in mind to wear for the picture. I keep feeling like it is missing something though. Any suggestions? Unfortunately we are not allowed backgrounds or large bulky items like umbrellas. Maybe I just feel naked with no weapons on. lol Thinking of changing the hair too, but not sure yet.
