"Magic," Miyuki replied, "Specifically using a rune array to create a plane bubble of sorts."

She paused and realized that was getting into complicated territory so she added.

"But the short answer is magic."

"We come together for meals, unless there are some of us in town at the moment," Miyuki explained, "There's a rotation of who cooks, though that has mainly between between Lancaeriel and Wren."

Not many people knew how to cook with an open fire, and Miyuki could only help on most days.

"Otherwise the schedule changes from day to day and it really depends on what everyone is working on at the moment," Miyuki added, "Or what we need to get done."

"Just give yourself time to settle first and get to know everyone," Miyuki assured him, "First, you need to know everyone, and their habits. We do have our own personal projects but they vary a great deal and from day to day."

It would be a long list for her to tell him what everyone else was up to.

"Are you hungry? Lunch isn't ready yet, but we did set aside some food from last night."

"Then let's head back into the kitchen, it's in a bento box," Miyuki motioned for Mailon to follow her.

It wasn't surprising that he was overwhelmed, this was far more people potentially than he had traveled with for years, and they were all quite different at times.

"Meeting everyone can wait, dinner is probably the best time since that's when we're most likely to be all in one place."

Miyuki actually had to think about that, it had been a while since she had to do a headcount. She had to count twice in her head as she went to get the bento box and a fork.

"If you include Kyrie, there are fifteen people in the group. Four of which are natives of the Four Lands. Two from the Southland and two from the Westland..."

Kind of, Iorlas didn't really belong to the Westland but that was where they found her so close enough.

"Caelm Lancaeriel, and Amir are natives of this continent.The rest of us are technically natives of the world known as Gaia. Though mom is of course married to ada, so she lives in this world, and Andarien and myself were raised in this world."

The bento boxes were kept on top of the box meant for frozen or cold foods. Mainly because the kitchen didn't have any cupboards to store things like dishes.

Miyuki chuckled as she went for the boxes, "Yea, that's what happens when you travel and pick people up."

Though she was technically related to most of the people in the group. Picking up the top bento box, she checked it to make sure it was the right one before grabbing a fork.

"Do you want to sit here or outside?" she asked, "Since... there aren't any chairs or tables yet."

"Do you mean in terms of people or in terms of just stuff to fill them?" she asked.

Since the question could be taken either way, she just didn't know which way he meant.

Taking a seat near the empty fire pit, Miyuki patted to the ground beside her for him to join her.

"It's mainly empty, with the exception of the forge room. All the bedrooms have futons and whatever the person has on them, but otherwise it's empty," she continued on to explain, "I just finished the tent about two weeks ago, and the futons and things for the forge was all we could afford at the moment."
