And our master said that the leather and string won't be strong enough to hold it, so he instructed us to put some duck tape on it too. I only put one band of tape on it though, which is probably the reason to why it broke.))
Amnity immediately blocked his shinai before it hit her. Swiftly, she took a step sideways and spun her sword in a circular motion, bringing both of their shinai pointed to the ground. Taking advantage of the moment, she brought her shinai up again, rolled it, then swung it around to hit him in his right arm.

Hokaru Moneru ((Mine still works fine.. I've been using it for three years now.)) {I do fencing for the simple reason that when your sword breaks, it gets destroyed. In one block, my saber was turned into a grip, a guard, a cap, and a blade (which flew about ten feet); needless to say, I began to laugh hysterically when my blade exploded in my hand, and the other guy began whacking me in the head for being defenceless.}

((I keep striking with a significant amount of force. Luckily the piece of bamboo that flew off didn't hit anyone, unluckily, I had to buy a new shinai because it was technically destroyed. Do you take Kendo? Or Tae Kwon Do?))

((Kendo. Used to do Tae Kwon Do, but left after getting the blackbelt, it was too boring, same with Kendo. Ninpo is much more exciting))

Mephlius took the hit to the arm. "Damnit!" She hit him with a formidable amount of force. He took a step backwards, gripping his arm with his free hand. "Nice hit..." He stretched his sword arm a bit, then held it at his side, waiting for her next attack.

Amnity took a step back as well, but she didn't really intend for the hit to have done too much damage. She crouched back into a fighting stance, gripping the shinai tightly with both of her hands. When Mephlius wouldn't make the next move, she charged forward, rolling the sword a bit before swiping toward his knees.

Mephlius dover, going over Amnity's sword, and for that matter, Amnity as well. He landed on the ground behind her, and swung downward onto her back from behind.

Amnity turned her head to look at him, then she spun out of the way as the shinai barely missed her. Using the momentum of the spin, she throw another horizontal slice toward his other arm.

Mephlius placed his sword vertically, tip down, to block the strike. He used his superior strength to force her sword backwards. He continued the momentum, rolling the sword in the air and bringing it down on her shoulder.

"Ah!" Amnity was a bit shocked at his strength as he nearly knocked her backwards along with her shinai. Seeing his movement, she barely sidestepped the sword at it flew right past her. My God...That could have killed me...

Mephlius was amazed at how weakly she fought back. Her sword was thrown aside like a toothpick when he forced it backwards. Why is she not pushing? His eyes opened wide at the possibility. Maybe it's not her... He looked down at the handle of his shinai. It had 5 marks in it, where his claws had begun to dig into the simple wood. He dropped the sword, and grabbed his right wrist with his left hand. He glared at the claws until they slowly receded.

Amnity noticed his claws, then looked back at him. "Mephlius...Mephlius are you alright?" her voice was laced with concern as she watched him struggle to gain control.
