With a new outlook it was time to revisit old places, which meant, despite the gnawing of fear in her stomach, she had to go back to the Forge. Just as it had been the first time, the place was just a mess of tests and fire, and Marati barely dodged the first fire tornado that was launched at her. The subsequent tests were easy enough to dodge, which let her move on with little difficulty.

Ah yes, the fan again. Just like last time she grabbed a piece of debris and chucked it at the fan, in nearly the same spot she had the first time. It jammed, just like last time, giving her just long enough to scramble through.

Marati paused at the base of the...thing...that was her only chance to get out of here. She remembered the last time and the blistering heat that seared her flesh. Where was that spot again - ah, yes, there it was, near the beginning.
She paused, and waited, and counted the time between one blast and the next. It seemed she had a few seconds, and when she was comfortable and prepared she pushed forward, running and climbing as fast as her bare feet would take her.

Ah...the surface. It was a breath of fresh air. As much as she hated the place she had to acknowledge that she wasn't done with it yet. There still seemed to be something she was missing, and so vowed to come back again sometime.
