"Probably not," Miyuki nodded in agreement, "Maybe we can visit and see how the baby is doing."

She was pretty sure they had mentioned that last night, about visiting the next day.

Wren's eyes lit up, and she smiled brightly.

"I was hoping I wouldn't be the only one who wanted to go there," she beamed. "Yes, I would love that! Maybe make it our first stop and see if Kyrie's willing to be our guide for the day ... though considering she's back with her husband for the first time in a few years, I'd understand if she wanted to stay there."

She laughed softly.

"I guess it would depend if Kyrie comes by here today," Miyuki murmured, "If she doesn't by the time everyone is up, we probably should ask Andarien to come with us."

Since he was the only person capable of translating at the moment.

Wren wrinkled her nose. "I don't know ..." she murmured. "I mean, I'm certain I remember the route back to the clinic from yesterday, and I don't want to monopolize Andarien's time if it's not absolutely necessary."

She didn't add that she wasn't sure she wanted to wait for everyone to wake up, either, since due to their traveling she had no idea how long they would all sleep.

"As long as it's not the whole day," Miyuki pointed out, "Though I guess it also depends if Kyrie would be willing to guide instead."

She doubted her aunt would want to come, not until the baby was well. Which made Miyuki wonder what would happen to be the child once he was well.

"But even Andarien deserves to rest," Wren pointed out with a gentle smile as the server returned with Miyuki's breakfast. "I'm just too fidgety. I honestly can't stay in one place for that long."

She shook her head slightly. "No, I'll be heading out after breakfast. You're welcome to come with me, I'm going to find the clinic right away, but if you'd rather wait for Andarien to wake up, or any of the others, I'll go on my own. I don't mind, really."

Back home, she couldn't keep herself occupied in an entire palace - how was she supposed to keep herself busy in a small inn, in a room she shared with two others, when one of them was asleep? No, she had to get out.

Miyuki frowned slightly, "Didn't Kyrie say we should always have someone who can speak the language with us?"

Actually, it was a recommendation, not an order, but Kyrie had also mentioned that people here were wary of outsiders, and Miyuki didn't want to run into trouble without knowing the language. While she was good at learning languages verbally, she didn't have the inhuman ability to learn as fast as Shiro or Kaito, and Andarien would have to be awake to teach it.

Though since it came naturally to him, she wondered how he would be able to teach it since he wasn't even aware when the language had shifted and would shift accordingly without thinking.

"She said we should, not we have to," Wren pointed out with a grin. "Besides, like I said, I'm pretty sure that I remember the way to the clinic. If we can make it there, we'll be fine."

She winked at Miyuki. "There's a reason my father always laments my rebelliousness. Despite my upbringing, I've never been good at doing what I'm told."

Miyuki wasn't so sure about this, and half wondered if her luck extended beyond simple games of chance to getting from one place to another in one piece. However, she didn't want to let Wren go alone.

"Okay then..." she replied slowly and hoping she wouldn't regret this later.

Wren had finished her breakfast when Miyuki's was brought already, and now she just smiled and leaned back in her chair.

"Whenever you're ready, then," she grinned.

Since there was no one else to talk to, Miyuki managed to finish her meal fairly quickly. It also helped that she was quite hungry, after all, she didn't have a full sized meal like Andarien before going to sleep, and slept for the rest of the day and through the night.

Once she was done, she wiped her mouth with a napkin and nodded to Wren.

"Alright, I'm ready now."

Wren grinned and stood up, pushing her chair in quickly. "I don't need anything from the room, do you?" she asked.

They were further south than they'd been before their flight, and it was almost the new year - which meant it was almost spring. The weather was quite nice, and she could see out the window that the sun was shining brightly this particular morning. No cloak necessary for her, and she had already traded in her tall winter boots for ankle-high summer boots.

Miyuki thought about it, she had her pokeballs with her, she kept them in a pouch attached to her obi. They weren't going to buy anything and she doubted it would endear them to anyone if she walked around with her staff so she just shook her head.

"I don't need anything from my room," Miyuki responded as she rose from her seat.

Outside, the city was a bustle of activity. The market was in full swing, with people shouting their wares from their rock vending stalls. There was everything from writing tools and paper to tools to fresh bread and buns, fruits and vegetables, jewelry, clothing, brightly coloured woven carpets, cuts of various kinds of meats, and more. The crowd was a mass of red hair and pale faces, the clothing a rainbow of colours and styles.

"Doesn't it just make you feel so alive, being in a place like this?" Wren beamed at Miyuki, her blue eyes bright. "I mean, look at this. There's so much energy, so much enthusiasm for life."

Miyuki was probably more than a bit distracted by the different styles of clothing, and the jewelery, and the smells, and just about everything else.

"Hmmm?" Miyuki murmured as she watched a lady pass them by.

She wasn't sure about alive, but it was very distracting.
