Marcus managed to give a sad, bitter smile at Ryan. Nothing was that simple, nothing that easy. He didn't see the tail coming until it was too late. Pain took his breat as he staggered back dropping to his knees as scimitar sunk into the earth. Dis was frantic knowing very well what was happening to the hunter. He had nothing left. Anger and desire gave way to concern. To panic as Marcus leaned on his weapon.
"Don't act like you care Dis." He didn't have the mental energy even. "You don't care about me." A moment of stunned silence from the weapon. "You just don't want what is yours broken." A heavy sigh, someone yelling, it didn't matter. "Selfish, narcissistic p***k." Eyes closed. He was tired, mentally and physically. "Never cared."

Rep only registered the world coming back into focus as he dropped into Harrison's arms, Tracey striking the ground with a loud thunk, thankfully not adding his weight to Rep's own. He was dazed- the rush of the charge had drained him a lot, costing far more energy than he normally ever used up in a single battle.
He wasn't even entirely sure what had just happened, there had been an order and he had tried to carry it out. Black and white. Simple.
Some lurking doubt insisted that it was far from simple, that there was a world of guilt he hadn't even touched upon. He'd possibly killed another hunter, a superior and a comrade, simply on an order from the most unstable division lead the organisation possessed. But it was too late to change anything, too late to wind it back. Morality wasn't his division.
He rested his head against Harrison, savouring the fleeting moment before wriggling to stand on his own feet, nevertheless, even stood up, still leaning heavily on the other hunter.
"Ta." he purred, with a playful smirk. "You are a good catcher."
He glanced over his shoulder at the battlefield, where things were still tumultuous, the fog itself now seeming to fight the gathered people, student and hunter alike trying to reach something in the midst of it all.
"I like. I guess there's..more to do. They probably need our help down there." he stammered, still letting the world come back into focus.

Jerry's attack, as expected had stung quite a bit and despite his efforts, some of the blast made it past him and hit the insanity infected Ceres. Things were starting to look really bad until the others joined in. All of them, forming a defensive line and keeping the hunters and creatures of Halloween at bay. However, when Lex attacked him, he was met with glare. He wasn't surprised that one of them had resorted in attacking him, or one of the others to remove them from the picture so that they could destroy Ceres. However, it also meant he took it personally.
"Try that again, and I promise you, you'll regret it."

Well there was Tro. Unfortunately he was now being blocked off by the fog. Grimacing, Shun glanced towards Mitsu briefly, then to Arel, and back to the barrier. Gritting his teeth, he quickly shadowstepped over by the secretary to grab the vial from him. After that, he prepared a dagger and hurled it at the barrier while making his way back towards his lycan's side.
Unfortunately for him... the dagger bounced right off of the fog and went straight for the wolf girl.
"s**t!" he cried out. That wasn't supposed to happen at all.
"Dammit..." he uttered while rushing to her side, "I'm sorry... ********. Are you alright?"
He was actually a little frantic at that point. Yes, he would raise his daggers against Mitsu in a spar or during certain situations but this was not one of those. He did not want to hurt her at all right now and yet he managed to ******** that up pretty well. Some protector he was.
"The hell is wrong with people?!" Before exclaimed in exasperation, more to himself than to anyone in particular. People were defending the wrong creature! It was more out of frustration than a genuine desire to put this one out of its misery.

What the hell was going on!? For most of the battle and debate, Eva had mostly just stood aside, uncertain as to what the best course of action was. On one hand, those creatures were actually Bix and Ceres--two allies who she was only really acquainted with, but who she liked quite a bit nonetheless. However, on the other hand, there was a very real potential that they could easily take out any of the hunters on the field.
What was she supposed to do?
She snapped out of her stupor when she saw Bix fall, clasping a hand over her mouth. Was he...!? She turned her panicked gaze to Ceres, and grew slightly stunned upon seeing the other trainees protecting the creature. Slowly, Eva felt herself relax a little upon seeing how intent the small group was on keeping Ceres safe, and on trying to find another way. She definitely agreed--attacking her should have been, in her mind, the very last choice, and only if all else failed. Some of the other trainees had already gone to see how Bix was doing, and the decision about what to do with Ceres would have to wait until they knew whether the sun hunter had survived.
After a moment of thought, Eva moved forward to join the rest of the defending trainees. She wasn't so sure that Caelius would let them off with this so easily but...well.
Danny patted Gene on the shoulder and kept at attacking the barrier. It would fall eventually right?
Except this time she landed a hit on her broken doll friend's stomach. "AHHH I'M SORRY!!" She was just hitting all her friends today. Worst battle ever.

'You're tired,' the voice whispered to Marcus, oddly soothing. 'Wouldn't it be better to stop? Wouldn't you like to go.... Home?'
The feeling was cold and yet so strong, stronger than any emotion in this barren landscape. It was the feeling of reaching, almost reaching something, the feeling of being almost home.
And how the Insanity preyed on the weak, the weakest link nothing but volatile, the strongest-
-Cold, and yet warm at the same time. The voice filled in the niche of emptiness that for Marcus, Dis could not provide. 'That's right, lets go home together.'
The fog curled greedily around the Moon Hunter, leaving only a statue, solid, petrified, behind.

Xiu was really starting to get tired of this fog. When it shifted to form a barrier around the last fake hunter, the baku growled in frustration, reaching up to push stray strands of hair out of her face. The fighting never stopped, did it? It looked like, if they wanted to save that last weapon, the only thing they could do was take down that barrier.
And so, as per usual, Xiu struck out at her target...only to flinch in surprised when she hit something completely different instead. "Yin Cang!" H-how...? What...? It didn't really matter. For a second, the ghoul simply stood there, both hands over her mouth. Then she shook her head, ears and tail drooping.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't...a-are you alright?!"

Ami saw it from across the field. Don't ask how, she had Marcus-vision. That beautiful mug of his needed to be kept in sight at all times, obviously.
Things slowed down. She was vaguely aware that she screamed his name, loudly, but it didn't register. All that mattered was getting herself over to his statue.
Which she threw herself in front of and posed a gun at anyone who even tried to touch it. "Marcus. Marcus s**t what have you done. You can't- You can't ********>" She stopped talking. He couldn't hear it anyways.
Not now anyways. They'd fix this. Yeah, that was it. There had to be SOME technology in the life labs that could fix this. There had to be. There just ... there had to be.

s**t, Did he even have a clue what he was doing here? Jason could see hunter fighting against hunter as some tried to defend the remaining monster, while others attacked it. He didn't concern himself with that, but he did see a few hunters close by.
'H-hey!" He called out to them. "d-d-do you have any bandages? Or medkits? Do you know anyone else who does?"
