'Damn!' thought Dani, as she was unable to get to grips with the Snitch before it vanished again. However, before her disappointment could take hold, the Bludger Eli deflected toward her slammed into her back with enough force to nearly pitch her from her mount. Dani felt bones snap, and knew ribs were shattered, since it was the same side the last hit Bludger caught her in, as she desperately grabbed onto her broomstick tighter to stop from falling to the pitch.
Coughing up blood and other things best left unspeculated upon, every breath Dani tried to draw felt as though a hot iron were being applied to her chest. As she tried to keep aloft, Dani focused on her job. She needed to try finding the Snitch again, and Dani knew her time was running out.
