Fredrick smiled. "I'm sorry. I'm Fredrick. An old friend of Devon's and his second." He held out his hand for her to take if she wanted to or not. He already knew how shy she was and didn't want to push the poor girl. "Devon speaks of you a lot."

Lark watched his hand carefully because yes her shy nature was taking over and they fact she wasn't the bravest person around other werewolves other than Devon, Bo and Sheryl who she knew liked her and encouraged her. Fredrick was different Devon never said much about him just that he was his second and like able guy if he was Devon's second didn't that mean he was trust worthy? "Hi and I'm sorry to say I only know a little bit about you from Devon but it's nice to met you." Lark said taking his hand

Fredrick shook her hand gently, aware of her fragility. "I'm not surprised. He was probably to busy telling you the heroic storied of his childhood." he teased. "I bet he conveniently left out the fact that he made a fool of himself quiet a lot." He chuckled. "Oh. I know this is a little late, but welcome to the pack." he said, nodding his head respectfully.

"I never asked him about his childhood and he never told me but he did tell me how his rebellious phase ended with a fight with his father." Lark smiled at his teasing he wasn't so bad after all but what he said did catch her interest. "Oh thank you but whatever do you mean by he made a fool of himself how did that happen?" She that it might be better to ask Devon herself but she wanted to know now and he might never share this information due to pride.

Fredrick sat back, happy to have her interest. "Oh there were several time. The bad hair cut, my fault entirely." he said with a wink. "Or his first time shifting.... Oh! The Moose Hunt. That was a good one." He leaned forward. "You see, Devon, the other single guys and I, decided to go out when we were still in high school. We were getting sick of all the love going around so we decide to skip and go on a little hunting trip. Devon placed a bet saying that he could take a moose down all I his own." HE chuckled and glanced over his shoulder at the door. "Don't tell Devon I'm telling you this, alright?"

"Don't worry I won't say a word I promise." Lark said with the biggest smile on her face like a child on Christmas happy to know that Devon wasn't always as perfect as he was now in fact it made her feel better about her self because she didn't exactly have smooth childhood herself she was very uncoordinated. "Please tell me more if it's not to much trouble."

Fredrick grinned. "Well, we went hunting and for awhile we didn't have much luck. But finally Christian caught the scent of a big one. And boy was the she-moose big. So true to his word, Devon went to take her on my himself. At first it seemed to be going well and under normal circumstances he would have done it. Yet,while he was tiring her out, he stirred up the gal's calf. She went ballistic. She turned and attacked Devon like a mad. Got him with her hoof a few times before she was done with him. Had him running with his tail between his legs! Me and the guys laughed about for a week. I thought he was going to wet himself he looked so frightened." he laughed, grinning hugely.

Lark couldn't help the image of a younger Devon getting knocked down a few pegs in the food chain by a moose of all things an animal that should have feared him under normal conditions but when her baby had come in harm's way she completely turned the tables on the young wolf, and along with the image came the laughter that hadn't escaped her lips in a good way exploded out of her mouth in great fits hopefully Devon would forgive her for laughing at his expensive but she couldn't help it the entire story was so funny to her that it took her minute to catch her breathe. " I can't say I feel to bad for him at least it didn't effect him forever but I must say that was a very unheard of event. so what bout these other times you mentioned before?" she asked Fredrick with the biggest smile on her face that was contagious

Fredrick shrugged. "Just his first shifting and that haircut." he said. He was glad he could make the girl laugh so. She definitely needed a positive way to release the stress she'd been through. "You know, the first change really isn't that great for any of us. It's easier for wolf born, but still no picnic. However, getting used to a wolf body when you're still young can be interesting." he chucked. "Devon looked all skinny and gangling with big paws. He'd trip and slid a lot. One his first run he did good. Until half way through. He trip over his own feet, rolled and ended up tumbling down a hill and straight into a patch of brambles. He was picking thorns out his hide all night." he chortled.

Lark went though another bout of laughter even though this one was shorter than the first time due to the image that came to mind at that one also of Devon the gangling werewolf tripping over his own four feet it was a complete difference from the wolf he was now but then we all had our awkward times for Devon it only seemed to get him in funny situations. "Well it could have been worse he could have fallen on a bear or worse another moose." She giggled "But what did he do to deserve the bad haircut."

Fredrick grinned. "He stuffed my gym locker full of onions. My stuff smelt awful for far too long." he shrugged. "So I cut that white hair was was so proud of in such a horrible way he had to get a buzz cut. AFTER the school day ended. The randomly spiky with random long strands looked like the worst hairdo from the 80's." He tried not to laugh to loud at the memory. "If you ask me sometime I believe I still have photo evidence that I threaten him with from time to time.

Lark giggled at that it sounded like the friendship between the two back then was based off of who could prank the other better. "Well I have to say those were some pretty funny stories and I must say I never thought Devon could be be that unlucky in his childhood I think I will take you up on seeing that photo too bad you don't have it handy but it's hard to believe he lets you get away with holding something like that over his head for so long why must you threaten him so." she was still smiling but now she holding back a another laughing fit for that last story

Fredrick leaned back self-satisfied. "Someone got to keep him humble." he said. "And he needs something to keep me from pulling out the picture of him with purple hair." Devon said, stepped into the room and looking very annoyed.

"Oh Devon.." Lark's attempt to be sly feel out the window because when she saw him those mental images of his younger days flashed in fronted of her eyes for a second as she took him in and she could tell he saw that in his mind because he started to look angry and that pushed her over the edge and she started laughing unable to stop

Devon frowned and glanced at Fredrick. "What have you been telling her?" he demanded. It wasn't that he wasn't relieved to see her laughing rather than crying. In fact he was ecstatic. But he wasn't sure why she was laughing at him. "I was just sharing some childhood stories, that's all." Fredrick said, sending a wink to Lark. Devon groaned as he thought up some pretty embarrassing memories.
