Cinn chuckled darkly and stroked his goatee as he shifted his gaze to Nightwind.
"I believe you are more familiar with her methods than you let on, my dear." He said to Danika. "But even in political machinations, Lady Nightwind drags far behind true Sith. Even the criminal underworld seems disinterested in anything she has to offer..."
Cinn let this bit of information drop, a possible hint about what he knew of Nightwind's activities. He waited to see if she would take the bait.

The holographic image paused for a moment, staring out into a void between the two Jedi before regaining focus towards Khyber.
"I have no direct memory regarding the final days aside from the regular recordings by the Council Masters of the Conclave. They did however represent a concern over an unknown presence that had arrived upon the planet, they found it difficult to see clearly however, some remarked upon a possible threat by devotees of the Dark Side. That is all."

Caisar leveled his hand to his chin, stroking his beard as he turned aside and paced around the hologram which still floated.
"Invading Sith, or possibly rogue Dark Jedi, remnants of the Hyperspace War perhaps. That can place the disappearance of the Conclave anywhere between one-thousand three-hundred years to one-thousand four-hundred... This also meets up with the latest records I could find in the Jedi Archives. We still have nothing duracrete." The scholar mused as he stopped, spinning on heel to face through the hologram to Khyber.

"Perhaps we should return to the shuttle, I'm sure the men have plenty to report as to the rest of the facility. We can take the time to analyze the Holocron and learn from it tonight, I feel it will be a long one."

"That would probably be wise," said Khyber, reaching forward and turning the holocron off, then handing it to Caisar. "I need to make a few calls offworld, regardless. Hopefully the shuttle has equipment powerful enough to connect me to the nearest comm station..."

Caisar looked at Khyber, curiosity written across his face for but a moment before he blinked, taking the Holocron and stashing it away in his sling-pack, nestled close beside the other he kept in his possession. He also collected the odd lightsaber crystals and other items that had been secreted away, storing them in a separate pocket before reaching out through the Force to telekinetically shut the alcove away once more.

"I'm unsure how well communications will function during the storm, especially with us being in an area where the discharge is so localized, but I'm sure you'll find a way, Brother Strife, you seem to be quite tech savvy. I will see what I can learn of these items in the time being." Caisar said, turning to leave the records chamber and head back in the direction of the hangar, being sure to take note of the condition of the structure around him. There was no time for a full account of this complex, but he could still acquire what notes possible.

The staging area was elegant as it was simple. Originally, Warren guessed that it was a briefing room, though much larger so perhaps it was designed for preaching to the masses. Tables and seats went up in stadium style on three sides, giving most people a chance to see the smaller stage, buffered by several yards of walkway to allow for intermingling as much as there was enough space to keep individuals far enough away for private business. The Gundark was none too pleased that they had to perform like trained monkeys for their devoted enemies, but Warren's plan was as much based around the patience of the group as it was their own unique talents. Speaking of...

"Where do you want this?" Gundark stated, hoisting a large item to the middle of the arena.

"Just behind the curtain."

Elsewhere, the young Jian had began to inspect the layout of the station, reading a wall mounted map, committing it to memory. Such things wouldn't give much detail. Jian would have to figure out how to get into the computers for some information as to the restricted areas. "Great.." he bemoaned. He had been on edge since the beginning of this whole endeavor, but at least the quiet hallways away from the main scene gave him some time to ease up without feeling the crushing aura of the sith around him.

The hovertruck was advancing into the city. Carried within was half of DAGGER squad. Sythica looked out as they drove behind the line of soldiers and the armored units making their push. Artillery had trouble laying down fire in the capitol city. Narrow streets in the shadows of tall buildings had at least given some advantage even if they couldn't do the same. Urban combat hurt no matter the opponent. Usually a person could easily take cover in the fortified debris of an area. But today was just another day.

Sythica cursed and swore as she felt herself waking up from a strange blackout and ringing in her ears. This was the second time her vehicle had taken impact and flipped. At least it wasn't near the front or exposed to detonate. Sythica wouldn't be satisfied with her situation. Being hit by another RPG again was starting to get on her nerves.

"Get out of there soldier!" She heard cry out. The voice belonged to another one of her squadmates. Sythica could barely recognize it. "Come on, we got to move now. Get moving!"

The sith soldier pushed herself up and out of the truck, reaching back in to grab her rifle and hopped down. The voice belonged to Lorn Korr, their rear man Kaboose. Sythica caught a blasterpack tossed her way and watched as the rest of her squad piled out of their transport.

"Looks like we're going on foot!" Woods exclaimed pointing east. "Jammer's half a klick that way." Sythica watched as resistance fighters were falling back on the republic's position. Sythica gave a nod as the squad began to slowly cover several meters at a time forward. They moved in and out of cover behind broken duracrete fixtures and sometimes behind the armored division which was slowly prodding forward. At one point, they had managed to lose the armored walker. A rocket managed to take down it's leg to slow it's advance. Sythica ducked behind her cover as their position got pelted. The fire stopped slowly afterwards as she peered over the duracrete fixture.

"Friendlies from Grek Company pushing through," she heard explained over her coms, a walker pushing through the street.

"I thought you were supposed to wait for the light before crossing," Woods said. The joke gained a few laughs before she shouted, "Contact front!" Republic vanguard forces had pushed forward, lobbing fire towards DAGGER squad. Republic aircraft could be heard echoing through the streets.

"Birds inbound, head right!" Z-man shouted, waving his arms towards the building to their right. The doors had been blown off from fighting as Sythica sprinted towards the gap. It wasn't pretty, but it would help shelter from the aircraft. The sounds of blaster rifles and explosives could be heard from outside.

"They've cut us off, now where do we go?" Fant asked. A new private of their squad she wasn't yet used to these types of attacks.

"We keep heading towards the main bank of the city. We're already in the financial district. Keep on target." Z-man responded.

"Who puts a farkling jammer atop of a bank?" She asked, as the squad followed the leader towards and up the staircase.

"Because the capital is too cliche. It's a tall building. The foundation is secure. Take your pick. The op is just like before. Burn the Jammer. Kill the Republic slime. Drink and celebrate before heading out to the next hotspot." Woods piped up, rechecking her blaster pack's capacity while she climbed the stairs up.

"I like that plan. You drinking with us this time Sythica?" a corporal from behind asked. Krod was his callsign. A personality much like Sythica's that favored blunt tactics rather than subtle sneaking. With the action outside the windows she imagined he was the only one having a good time. That didn't mean she liked him. Giving a groan they pressed onward. Eventually, Sythica did speak up.

"So, as we climb higher, where are we going to get to heading forward?"

"Well, this building has a skywalk. If we're lucky it'll-" Z-man started to say. He wouldn't get to finish his comment as a large explosion could be heard up above them. Sythica watched out the window as a large chunk of durasteel fell down. Glass and other debris hit the ground hard below. "Not be hit... I was hoping we could overtake the line. I guess we do this the hard way. Buff, charge up that rotary. We're going through the store via the overwatch. Data, keep me updated on the mid-town sitrep. I want to know where our forces are pushing and pulling."

Data nodded, as the squad changed direction, moving down and towards the front of the building.

"Dance?" The leader of the squad said. "Try die." The group raised their rifles. Kira lifted her hands up.

"Wait, don't you want to do that, you won't get the head!"

"It's in your hands."

"Oh," Kira moaned. She had to think of something fast. Something witty. Something clever. She looked around the tomb and saw something move on the edge of her vision. "I don't think we should stay here..."

"Hand the head over and we'll get out. I don't want it bloodied up." Kira took half a step back looking to her left and right.

"All right..." She said nervously. "Just let me get it out..." She stopped stepping back and lowered her arm. She watched the rifles lift up in preparation. Kira silently prayed to the air as her hand finally reached the droid head. Her fingers rubbed the dome as she moved them to the buckle holding it in place. "I'm taking it out now..." she announced.

And then it struck. A long line of scales that reflected the dim light. A long reptile of immense size lounged from a hole in the roof towards the leader of the squad. It bit down on the man and then coiled around him. Back into the roof it went as the man screamed and was carried away. The squad stared up and watched the leader get carried off. Kira took the advantage to get out of the line of sight of their gun barrels. She heard blaster fire behind her. Kira peered out from behind a stone column as scared cries and random bolts of plasma went everywhere. Kira gave a small pant as she heard another cry echo through the temple. Slowly she moved out of her hiding spot and did what she could to move towards the entrance. Her face lit up as she saw the ray of light. The two who remained were trying to fend for themselves as she made her move. She sprinted as fast as she could out through the entryway. Panting, she heard the click of a blaster rifle behind her.

"By the stars... it shouldn't be this hard to run away," she muttered to turn. Expecting a person there to be pointing a rifle at her. Sadly she was met with something else. The eyes of a large snakelike creature stared into her. She guessed it was easily 10 meters long, if not more. She backed up slowly. The snake reared up and edged forward too as Kira let her hand drop to her side. Then the strange beast tilted its head to the side. Kira resisted the urge to look. But she soon heard why it had lost its attention on her. As its mouth opened and dropped the rifle the sound of engines coming this way gave Kira some hope. Her freighter began to swing by with its vehicle grade weaponry pelting the snake creature as Kira dived into the bushes. She was curious why they had gotten out to where she was but she wouldn't question it.

Not until she got on board anyway. As the freighter landed nearby she headed towards it with a mix of glee and appreciation.

Dixie had a few hours before the club opened, so she stopped by a banking terminal to deposit the credits she made off of the junk dealer. She also checked her accounts, and as she suspected, all of her clan accounts had been seized the day prior and redirected into one of Clan Skirata's main business accounts. The Kom'rk demanded that she have no clan assistance throughout her ordeal, and it was tradition to restore any seized money and belongings if and when the exile successfully returned.

Luckily, Dixie had set up a separate personal account with the Hutts some years back, but that had only a few hundred credits on the balance. Throw in her cut of the salvaged armaments, and it left her a decent amount of cash to play with...

Considering Nightwind's request for a transport had been hailed over official Imperial frequencies, it was no small concern whether Cinn found out or not. Anyone browsing the holonet feeds and paying attention for such an offer would see it, Imperial or no.

So, of course, she smiled and did not rise to his bait. "The worst adversary is always the one that is most underestimated, they say. But I'm sure Darth Cinn knows that, being as powerful as he is. Afterall, this party is a testament to his greatness, however brief it may be."

She turns to Nova. "As much as I enjoy our talk, Cinn, I would enjoy your party a bit more, as I'm sure you wish to yourself. Congradulations on your conquests..."

Dipping her head slightly, she turns, and strolls back into the crowd. Ilia had been respectful and polite, and none could blame her for causing any trouble. Let Cinn think her a fool and a weakling if he wanted to. It didn't how many victories he had, so long as he suffered one defeat where it counted most.

Nova also politely bowed to Cinn as Nightwind turned to leave. She was beyond grateful to have that nerve wracking conversation come to a conclusion, for now. She breathed deeply and as Ilia mingled amongst the other guest she allowed herself to relax a little, if only for a moment.

It took a long while for Qaina's ride to arrive, a much worn Remora class Boarding ship modified by Qaina's Coordinator partner. The boxy looking transport set down in the clearing outside the village and the Exit ramp lowered invitingly. It was time to get off this mudball.

Stretching, the young hunter grabbed her quarry and dragged him to the ship as a thin Togruta female Peered at her from the ramp, making sure to stay under the cover of the vessel and out of the rain.

"Took you long enough!" Anin declared, crossing her arms as she watched the hunter drag the Bith onboard. "Its been days! And with the Reps and Sith shooting it up all over the place I was about ready to bug out!"

"Nice to know you got my back." Qaina growled as she she boarded the ship and was out of the rain at last.

"Hey, its business." Anin stated flatly. "And if I think something is too dangerous or expensive, I'll start looking for cheaper ventures elsewhere."

"Just get us out of here." Qaina said as she threw the Bith Smuggler into a closet and locked it. "I think I might have stirred up Jedi trouble."

Dixie could hear the heavy bass line before she even entered the club, the music almost deafening once she got inside. It was a pretty big place, considering the size of the settlement. Nestled on top of a two-story restaurant, the bar had two floors of its own. The bottom contained the bar and dance floor, with some leather seats on the side, and the top had a fully-stocked arcade and a few game tables. She had to leave her sidearm in a specially designed lockbox at the door, but that was to be expected.

Within five minutes she had spotted a possible candidate and lead him out to the dance floor. A few minutes later she had her first drink at his expense...

Cinn smirked sinisterly as he watched Nightwind and her apprentice depart, stroking his goatee all the while.
"And off she goes, avoiding confrontation as per her usual methods." he muttered quietly to Danika. "Unlike true Sith, Nightwind does not make fear her tool but is instead ruled by it. She is afraid to take the steps necessary to become a true Dark Lord, for fear that she will lose what little she has. But fortune favors the bold, and if nothing is ventured, nothing is gained."

The Sith took a drink from a passing droid and sipped at it, then swirled the glass as he muttered to himself.
" 'The Worst adversary is always the one that is most underestimated'....What delicious Irony..."
