Tawny hadn't been paying any attention, wobbling down the deck. She was trying to make herself useful, when she felt a collision. She almost went sprawling, but managed to keep her feet through sheer luck. The person, however, that she had crashed into, was not so lucky.

"Are you okay?" She reached down a hand, offering it to help the young woman back up the rest of the way. The apology was waved away. "And don't worry about it, it was my fault. Should have been watching where I was going." her smile was friendly, her bartender's smile. The woman in front of her was dressed... so strangely. How did she manage to get- oh... she had boots. Tawny bit her lip, cursing herself mentally. Well, that would certainly be one of the next things she would purchase, wouldn't it?

Hearing a slight thud from somewhere nearby, Shun glanced over his shoulder to see what it was. Expecting to see something like a barrel that had toppled over, he merely shook his head when he saw that it was just a small collision between two of the women on board.

"Clumsy..."

Going back to his duties at the moment, he gritted his teeth as he tugged at the ropes before tying it down. He probably should be taking things a little easier given his recent injuries, but he doubted that they'd reopen any time soon. The only problems they were giving him for the most part was just adding in some pain when he moved in certain ways.

Lifting her feline friend, Wren stay up on her bed setting the small cat on her shoulder. Gabriel still hadn't shown up and for all she cared at the moment he could have been left on the isle. Huffing softly, Wren tossed her red hair over her shoulders before standing. Shaking her head a bit, the girl moved towards the door, she paused for a moment pulling her dress further off her shoulders. Smiling softly a tiny bit of wickedness showing through in her eyes, Wren removed her hat petting ther cat clinging to her shoulder as she did. Pulling the fake lid from within her hat, she removed a black ribbon before replacing the lid and putting her hat back on.


Swinging open the door, Wren gathered up her hair tieing it back with her black ribbon exposing the angel wings carved in her back. Turing slightly she pulled her door shut before head up to the deck again.

"I'm Ma- Tawny." She took Cosette's hand, and gave a genuine smile this time. "And I'm new on board." She released her hand, eyes following those of the other woman, to land on a gentleman tugging on some ropes. "Aye, best to help out..." her voice trailed off. "What do you think we need to do next?" She glanced around, obviously... clueless. Quite, quite clueless.

She tugged down the bottom of her dress absently. The ocean was interesting, so far. Salty air, wind blowing... ship rocking and rolling, world spinning... Hopefully, she wouldn't get seasick. That would be awful.

Cosette smiled as she shook the womans hand and then blinked herself as the question was asked. "Well now... that is a very good question. Honestly I havent the faintest Idea really..." her fingers ran through her hair one more time as he fidgeted. "I suppose I'm slow to pick things up around here.. mostly I just fit in where I can... and try not to make a mess of things. "

She bit down on her lower lip, she really was more clumbsy when it came to alot of the things that needed done. She closed her eyes softly and promised herself she would do better, she was going to improve yet, just you wait and see.

Tawny nodded fervently. "I... I've never been on a ship before." her voice was low. "But I really want to learn, and I want to do a good job... I just.... well..." She gave a helpless little shrug. "Have no clue what I'm doing. I'm just trying not to get tossed overboard on my first day for making a mess of things!" She shifted, watching Cosette fidget. Well, at least she wasn't the only one somewhat on the lost side.

She dropped her hand to her side and smiled once more, it was slightly refreshing to meet someone that almost seemed to mirror her experiance on the ship. She had felt very awkward on the ship and the events that had brought her to become part of its crew.

"Well then, suppose we better make ourselves useful in the best way we can." she said with a small chuckle, only to wince as a sharp pain shot down her arm. She favored the limb slightly and rubed over her shoulder. The wound wasnt deep, but with all the movement she had done pulling on the ropes and the riging she could tell she has streched the skin and the new tissue greatly dissaproved.

Still, she was lucky to even be alive after those....monsters had attacked the ship awhile back. Losing herself in thought for a moment her stomach hardened and her expression darkened for a moment, never...would she be taht deffenceless little ninny. Jonathan had done well with trying to teach her to fire a musket but in the end she has hesitated far to long. Her neck or theirs.....

"ah.. " she said snapping out of her train of thought and looking at the other woman again. "uh..." she didnt know rightly how to respond after that and just let the subject lay.

"Oh its nothing." cosette replied and dismissed it with a shrug of her shoulder, ignoring the dull ache that was answered from her left arm.

"had a bit of trouble awhile back with another ship." she said with a nod of her head, moving over to help the other woman. Cosettes hands where not as soft as they once had been, but they where stronger for the work and she and never been a woman of leisure. "so...what brought you on board?" she asked after a moment of silence had fallen between them.
