"Haha sure." She smiled and then sunk back into the pillows.
"Well, it's probably time for bed. You have an exam soon, right? Well, I'll see you later, Alex. Thanks so much for the visit."

"Well I wish you luck, and thanks for the game. See ya later, Alex."

She smiled and put the cards into a small pile on the dresser by her bed and relaxed into the pillows. Looking around, she saw the shadows looming all around her in the dark. She was tempted to call out for Fawx, knowing that he'd reply, but she didn't want to bother the poor bird, which must be sleeping now. As she settled down though, she saw Music's owl still fluttering about. Apparently it had been waiting for her response. There was still a quill and parchement from when Kenneth had her sign a decree...but she was scared to write anything down...taking the quill inher shaking hand, she scribbled on the parchment, ink blots splattering the edges of the page.

"Thanks so much, that letter means a lot. I hope to be back on my feet in a week or so...just to eat in the great hall and bathe in the sunlight on the grounds. I hope you're doing well, and I hope to see you in the great hall soon. Even if I'm still not my best when I'm there, at least I'd be out of this wing."

By this afternoon, she'd gotten really good at solitare. She won every game she played, but she grew tired and bored. She wished she could walk more than ever. There was a washroom not too far...if only she could take a long bath and just cut the very end of her hair. Just to get the fringed black parts off. Just to change her robes and brush her teeth. She daydreamed of it.
"I won't drown myself...or if I do I wouldn't mean to...maybe..." She mumbled to herself, putting her hand on her ribs, which were still sticking out from her sides since she was so skinny. It wasn't as bad though, they felt at least a tiny bit stronger.
She sighed and went back to her game, thinking about Al, Callysto, Alex, Kenneth, and the other professors and students.

Lillian screamed and threw up the cards, they scattered all around the floor. She threw the blankets over her and then peeked out when she realized that they had spoken spanish. It could only be...yes. It was Catalina. Lillian began to stammer wordlessly. The last time she had heard Catalina was when she was being tortured in Lillian's office...but Catalina didn't even know that Lillian knew, since she had been broken behind a desk at the time. Her eye twitched for a moment at just the thought, and all the memories rushing back to her now seemed too real.
"Yes?" She choked.

Lillian couldn't help it, her mind was racing, and she giggled. It was just a small giggle at first, but it grew like how it had grown in her office. She coughed it down and sat there. Her head on her knees, she lifted her chin up a bit. She looked down at Catalina and whispered.
"I know. I heard her. I was immobile. Behind the desk. I understand. I'm not about to fire you."
Inbetween each short phrase she gulped, the pain in her lungs building. She felt disgusting...all the memories were now coming back to her. St. Mungos had warned her this would happen if she tried to block them out...but she didn't listen...

Lillian couldn't help it. She coughed and a bit of blood splattered into her hands. She gave a very weak smile and put her hands together like she was going to pray. She closed her eyes for a moment, then lifted them so they were looking outside.
"I'm responsible for the way I am now." She said gently and slowly. "I should've been more prepared. Then again...I don't think anyone was expecting this." She gave a weak laugh that sounded more like a sob.
"I'm not sacking you."

Lillian fell back onto her own bed and wasn't sure what to do. With great effort, she moved to the side of the bed. She put her hands in her drinking water and wiped them off with her towel, making the white towels a deep red from the blood on her hands. She then moved over again, wincing the whole time, feeling her own bones screaming in agony and begging her to stop. She pushed on and when she reached Catalina, she gave her a hug, leaning over on the bed, so her head was on Catalina's shoulder.
