"Yes, I think we have the stuff we need in the cupboard. Could you go look for it, it's marked "N-Clean" and is a sort of... special detergent for use on animals. It *should* take it off of her feathers. she might still have a few hints of blue on her fur but, to be honest that will quickly grow out"

He walked towards the centre Kitchen, plopping Delta into the empty, high sided sink. He turned on the water beside her, using his hand to gague how cool it was and then to pull her little sweater off. already mangled it fell half off in his hand so he ripped the remained, hoping Sy wouldn't mind too much.

Not too cool, good. Still holding behind her head he guided her small body into the water, dousing her in the cool liquid as she needed to be damp at least before the detergent went on.

He began to feel a little sorry for her bedraggled state.

Blinking a few times, she looked around and then wandered towards the cupboard... well, at least she supposed it was the cupboard he wanted her to look in. After poking around for a few minutes, she realized it was right in front of her face. Feeling a bit embarassed, she quickly wandered back into the kitchen.

Delta hated water. She couldn't swim in it, and after the hot springs, she was half-convinced it could move all by itself. Despite her hatred for it, she put up with Aly dousing her. She just looked as miserable as she could, her ears flattened, her eyes half closed, and her tail limp.

"Is this it?" Holding the bottle out for Aly, she looked at her daughter who was acting like she was being tortured instead of washed.

Alyosha nodded, seeing that it was the right bottle. "Ok, what you could do for me is pour it over her, just a little, and .. eh... could you roll up my sleeves for me" He grinned, nodding to indicate his already wet hands.

Seeing Deltas discomfort he sighed a little. "Just think, Delta, you'll be all clean and pretty again soon."

"Okay..." she slowly replied, not sure how to react. Looking at Delta somewhat apologetically, she poured the cleaner over the torso of the rather agitated Aerandir. That was simple enough.

It was the... rolling up his sleeves that made her pause. Clearing her throat and trying to keep her thoughts as clean as possible, she flushed a little as she touched him gingerly and tried to roll up his right sleeve, moving as quickly as possible. She thought that doing it as quickly as possible wouldn't be that obvious she didn't want to touch him for too long or else she'd be attracted to... do other things.

Which meant it was a rather obvious gesture.

Alyosha grinned as Sy rolled up his sleeve. Her thoughts could be read like a book, one with big letters and accompanying pictures. Maybe even footnotes.
He used the arm with the now at least partway rolled up sleeve to start lightly scrubbing the detergent into Deltas fur and feathers. It was mild and shouldn't even sting if it got into her delicate little eyes but he was careful nonetheless. His other hand still pinned her lightly, in case she decided to take a jump out of the sink.

Slowly the water in the sink began to turn blue.

Despite the fact she really, honestly, desperately wanted to be back to her normal color, his scratching made her twitch a little here and there. Fidgeting under the lather, she looked at her mother (who was staring at her intently so as to keep her mind off Aly) for reassurance. Sy reached out and pet her head, not caring if she was spoiling her by cooing that she was being very good and she'd look beautiful soon enough.

Delta hoped this didn't mean she had to be nice to Aly now. She rather liked having an evil nemesis.

Alyoshas scrubbing came to a halt. He held Delta under the water a little while more, making sure she was completely rinsed as he didn't wish the detergent to be on her feathers if she was preening, surely it wouldn't taste too good.

He smoothed down her ruffled feathers and, picking her up, set her on the flat area beside the sink so she could drain the rest of the water off. He found a towel and dried off his hands in a cirner, giving it to Sy. "You should probably dry her off, I don't think she'd take too kindly to me ruffling her up completely. "

He looked at the little gryphon now. She was mostly not blue anymore, a faint stain perhaps on her pale fur but the stuff on the feathers had gone at least.

Looking like a drowned, wet rat, Delta stood there dripping and still looking quite miserable. As Sy nodded to Aly and started to slowly rub Delta dry, however, she perked up a little. Sy was mumuring to her daughter how most of the blue was gone. This made Delta antsy, less concerned with being dry... after all, it was hot enough on this island. She wanted to see how she looked.

"Careful," Sy warned as Delta scrambled towards the counter's edge, sighing as she lowered Delta to the ground. As she turned to ask Aly where a mirror was, Delta tore off, hooves slipping slightly on the floor, determined to find a mirror ASAP.

This left the poor woman staring at Aly blankly.

Alyosha nearly laughed as the little gryphon took off. "I'm not sure, actually. Possibly in the guest bedrooms or the bathroom?"

He turned to watch Delta flee off, in search, he presumed, of the desired chiny mirror. "Ahh..." he turned to Sy. "So.. how have you ben then, apart from busy with that little bundle of energy?" he wasn't unconcerned for Delta it was just that, he thought, nothing would dare try to stop her in her current mood.

"I've been fine," she answered hastily, her mind already moving to other things. An uncomfortable pause was here as she cleared her throat. Just as Aly was thinking that was all she was going to say, she started again. "I was really glad you came to visit. I was afraid that..." >>;; Everytime she opened her mouth, it was like a train wreck. A tragedy... she hit the wall of comfort and kept going.

She shouldn't run, she knew this, but telling him she was afraid she wasn't kiss-able would sound retarded. This she knew. >> Hmmm... quick, think of something witty to fill in the blank!

He stopped smiling, his head cocking to one side. "Will you ever finish a sentence in my presence?" he wondered aloud.

His eyes gazed at her, over her form, mouth twitching back into a smile. "I can see where Delta is getting her flightyness, certainly." He thought for a moment. "I really have to get back to work soon but... If you decide you can be in my presence could I invite you around for iced tea on my veranda tommorow evening. There's a wonderful view of the sunset..." he trailed off. He always felt the need to speak quickly to her in case she fled.

She blinked, not sure whether she was more scared of this idea of a date or more excited. After all, this was a very romantic idea he was proposing to her, and she could *easily* mess it up... but then again, it could always turn out well. >>;; Well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

"You mean... like a date?" she finally blurted out, trying not to sound too giddy. After all, she was a grown woman. Grown women didn't get giddy. Clearing her throat after a while, she decided to try talking again. "I would love to ki... er..." Turning red and stuttering a little bit, she took a step back and bowed. "I would love to join you..."

Alyosha smiled and then nodded a little. "Then I shall look forward to seeing you there..." he grinned a litttle as he brushed past her, deliberately trailing his fingers so that they brushed against her lightly. As he turned the corner his little smile turned into a grin. He was most definately a happy bunny.

@_@ Twitching a little, she sort of stood there for a moment in pure shock. As soon as she gathered herself, she began to hurry towards the door, and was halfway there before she remembered her daughter, Delta.

"DELTA!" Delta came skittering out of the bathroom, curious at the commotion. Eyeing Alyosha accusingly for making her leave so soon after she had started admiring her refound beauty, she pranced up to her mother. She was barely within arm's reach before she was swept up.

There might have been a hurried good-bye before Sy skittered out of the door. Evil, evil teasing man.

Alyosha walked out into the main room of the centre. Within his hands he held a small glass jar. He'd put them together already. Kiro wasn't going to be able to get out of this now... He had worried that the boy might not accept the task but surely it was the best way for him to learn about the Aerandir.

Alyosha walked up the small corridor which led to all of the rooms and, nestling the bottle in one arm, used his other to rap lightly on Kiro-kuns door.
