Thanks! I'll find out on the first if I won or not *crosses fingers* And that would be cool to see a pic of the tree, it sounds impressively huge!

*crosses fingers too*
It's a beautiful tree - I'll be at uni over the weekend so hopefully there will be at least one person around to take a photo of me...

Also...could you send some healing energy to my best friend...someone did something to her that has hurt her very deeply and she needs all the support she can get right now...

Of course I will.

Thanks I really appreciate it. I'm having her sleep over at my place despite the fact I've got more assignments than free time. She just needs to get her mind off things while the police sort it out for her.

I didn't manage to get a photo of the tree though...you may have to wait a while...

I'm hella sorry to hear that the police have to be involved, that's never fun or easy. Still sending good energy. And it's okay about the tree, no worries. smile

Yeah...it's one of those cases where you just don't know what other people you think are your friends have been planning... sad

That's always hard. When I got older, into my teens, the cops were around a lot because my mom would try to leave my dad and would get a civil standby (where the cops show up to make sure no one gets hurt while you get your things) because she was afraid my dad would hit her. It took him throwing a brush at me (and me about to retaliate) to get her to leave for good.

Sorry for not posting in a few days, my cold turned into bronchitis. Again. This time with an ear infection. *sigh*

Oh My Gosh! I have missed so much again! The yarn is BEAUTIFUL!!!
So what are you going to do with it? I was reading not too long ago on a knitting group that its not uncommon for spinners to have stash that they they love so much, they know they will never work it up into a project. Does that sound true for you? I cannot imagine spinning something and then not using the yarn for something.

My sewing machine broke after starting Cat's costume, Alice from the new American McGee game. So we went to a bunch of second hand shops and got a great deal on a wedding dress. But it was VERY ornate, full of beads and sequins. We spent two days and then had 3 people over to help for a an evening to take them all off. We got two bowls full of stuff off that dress. Remember a few years ago, those outrageously huge cappuccino cups were all the rage? We filled one of those and a bowl even larger than that. So anyway now she is going to be The Corpse Bride. The dress looks fabulous on her. Kind of a shame to rip it all up.We have most of the stuff for the veil. We took the sleeves off and they will make nice gloves. After that its new hair dye, blue again and then makeup. I am planning on getting a new machine after the first of the year, and I will get back to work on her Alice costume then. Other than that I have been working and spending every extra second with my gf.

I have already lit a candle for your friend. I hope things work out. Its hard to watch your friends go through things, so I will be sending energy to you as well. I am sure she really appreciates you. You are a sweetie.

Will try to be better about writing

Aww thanks Love to Paint! Yeah I've heard of some people like that too, but I'm not one of them. The only times I haven't used handspun yet have been because I have too little (like if it's a sample I spun to see how it works spun different ways). I'm gonna spin up the rest of the braid and see how much I have, but I'm hoping for a pair of fingerless gloves and a cowl or hat to go with it.

It's funny your friend did that with a used wedding dress, as the first Fanime I went to Dsay did the same thing, but wore a mask and went as a splicer from Bioshock. It was hella cool. Do you have any plans for the sequins and beads you pulled off?

Thanks - she really appreciates this and says thankyou. Slowly things are getting better for her...but we're still a long way off having this one fixed...and thankyou for sending energy to me as well - she's my best friend in the whole wide world and I hate it when anything bad ever happens to her.

I hope your bronchitis gets better entervixen, plus the ear infection...not fun... gonk I love the glove pattern, it looks almost elven!

Thanks. I sound horrible still, but feel much much better. And yeah, I knew that yarn was destined to be those gloves when I saw them, hehe. I just have to figure out what I'm gonna make with the rest of the yarn. I'm thinking now of doing a shawl (can you tell I love shawls? lol) in a coordinating color with the handspun as an accent. That might do nicely... whee
