"He is called Stratios- he's a bard." Said Delilah as she picked up an empty feed bucket and filled it with water and luckily found a sponge. Carrying the bucket to the tent, Delilah disappeared inside for a few minutes, clearing up the large wet patch that Arwa had left in his sleeping area.
Arwa looked at the man and Stratios looked back at him. He grinned happily. "What's a Bard?"
Hermes looked at the little boy. Arwa, or so he had heard the boy being called, was a cute kid- he looked about four or five years old to Hermes, with dark brown curly hair and brown eyes that suggested that the African looking lady was his mother. He answered Arwa's question- "Well young man," he saw Arwa sit a little taller at being called a man, "A bard is a person who sings or plays an instrument for a living." He smiled again, more friendly, "Can you sing?"

Sage wandered over to her nephew and placed her hands lightly on his shoulders giving him a warm smile wanting to see what he was up to.

Arwa looked at his aunt, with a small sad look, "I don't think I can sing." He looked down to the ground where he saw a beetle on the ground. "I can copy people though." he said, smiling a bit. He then impersonated Markus' snoring, which made Arwa giggle halfway through his impersonation as his was more comical than Markus' snoring had been. He couldn't even ask Sage who he'd been impersonating as he was giggling so much.

Sage grinned fondly at her nephew who was laughing before she lightly began to tickle him to add to his laughter. She enjoyed making Arwa happy and he was a sweet kid. A real joy to be around. He might not be able to sing but she knew he had other talents like his ability to mimic people. After their guest left or she made up her mind about him Sage decided she would see about teaching her nephew to sing.

Arwa laughed more, "Stoppit!" he said in a giggle, contorted with laughter.
Delilah exited the tent, the bucket held in both hands, the sponge discarded somewhere inside the bucket. "Ugh. I can't believe the smell you left in there, Arwa. Next time, go to the toilet BEFORE going to bed." She said it not unkindly, but on seeing Arwa's sheepish grin, it made her feel that it was only normal for a young kid to wet the bed and she smiled. Delilah put the bucket down on the ground away from the tents. When Delilah had gotten rid of the water, she returned to the group, hearing Arwa ask, "What are we going to do today? Can I play with Aunty Flicker's sheep?"

Flicker looked for aproval from her sheep, who nodded their consent. "Alright, but we're going to play over there. In that grove of trees. Wanna race?" She grinned, taking out a mini-saddle, and placing it on one of the sheep.

Sage grinned and shook her head in amusement. Only Flicker would have saddles for her sheep. Arwa was of course eating it all up.

Looking at the sheep, Delilah mused a second. "Maybe Arwa could race Markus to see who wins..." The idea present in her words was that by getting Arwa far away from the sacrifice, he wouldn't hear the dying moos of the cow and it would give them ample time to hide the remains. Arwa grinned happily, and was about to get onto a sheep when Delilah said, "Wait a minute, young man.. You've got to have breakfast first. We can't have you falling off the sheep from hunger." She found a bowl that was clean and put some porridge inside the bowl, handing it her 'son'.
Arwa tried to eat it quickly as he was excited over his sheep race. He thought the porridge was alright, but he was sure there was something tastier lying around waiting to be eaten.

Sage reached over and placed a hand on Arwa's arm to slow him down so he didn't choke. The corners of her mouth were twitching with amusement as she looked over at Delilah.

Watching the young boy eat his food then rush off to play with the sheep, Hermes smiled.
Delilah whispered to Sage as she saw Arwa race off on sheep-back, followed by Flicker at a short distance, "Have we got everything ready?"

Sage nodded her head glancing back at the Cow pretty much buried in ribbons. Arwa was out of the way with Flicker keeping an eye on him. Now was the perfect time to do the sacrifice.

Jasmine waved a slight goodbye to Arwa, thankful that he had left so readily. Of course, he was playing in the woods with Flicker's saddle sheep, something that would appeal to a five or six year old satyr. "Time to sacrifice."

"Right!" said Delilah. "Let's get moving with this sacrifice." She stood at the altar. "What's the first thing we do?" she asked, slightly unsure of what to do.

Sage shrugged her shoulders before she pulled out the book Flicker had been looking through earlier and tossed it to Delilah. While it was good that Flicker was distracting Arwa it was also annoying they didn't have her to tell them how to start.

Hermes watched as the african woman went to the altar with the knife. Perhaps she was a priestess. He didn't claim to know the ways of foreigners, and now was not the time to start doing so. "You must be having a laugh!" He said in anstonishment, "It's the men who sacrifice the oxen, not the women!" He did not feel the need to add the fact that it was mostly adhered to in Athens- he wasn't so sure about everywhere else.
