Another one showed up...Where is Apollo?! Chess scooted over slightly but didn't do much more than that. She was getting used to people popping up out of nowhere now Geez...I can't wait to get this done!

Kirama glanced at Kazuma then watched with a concerned expression as Chessa scooted further away. She seemed slightly hesitant around people she didn't know. That he could understand. He was the same way. "Bug off Kazuma, if you and Jaice have something to talk about take it else where, there is a Hyuuga right of passage being conducted here." He said without turning around to see who it was. He looked over at Chessa with a good deal lighter of an expression. "Would you like to move somewhere else? We can move to a different part of the forest the same distance away if you would like."

Chess blinked at Kirama, a little shocked by his apparent concern, and managed a smile "No...I'm all right. I'm just not used to being around so many...guys. I grew up with 5 other sisters so its a little strange for me." she didn't mention that the family who had adopted had also had only girls. She tried to make herself relax a little more, letting her feet fall down again "I just want Apollo to finish so we can go eat ramen or something. Maybe have some fun somewhere." she said whistfully.

"Alright, I understand. I'm sorry about this, I didn't know you two were anything more than friends. I know how you must feel. When I was dating my wife I was stuck here in Leaf as the Hokage and she was in Mist. It really sucks to be apart doesn't it?" Kirama asked. He had a soft spot for people in love. It brought him back to when he and Rin really spent time together. Right after they got married. Those were the most precious memories of his life and he couldn't help but want to assist those that felt the same way about someone.

"Well we only just met but...I already know that I like him more than friends." Chess giggled, laughing at herself. She hadn't ever had a boyfriend before since most of her home town knew her as the daughter of a drunk "I was trying to get us to go out when you showed up and kidnapped me."

"Oh... sorry." Kirama said as he turned his gaze down. He really felt bad. Here he was carrying on with his stupid clan stuff, and in the process he had ruined their first moment together. He felt like crap now and if he had another arm he would have been rubbing it furiously in an attempt to take away the signs of his embarrassment.

Chess shrugged at him, smiling slightly "Its all right. I don't really understand so I couldn't see how important this was at first." she stood and walked over, plopping herself down next to Kirama, smiling still "I never thought much of families but I know this is important to Apollo. So I'll wait." Chess took a deep breath and let it out carefully "I can wait for as long as it takes."

"Apollo is a lucky guy then. Patience is something you're going to need. I can't tell you how many times I made Rin wait for me." Kirama said as he went into one of his flash backs again. "You need to make sure he doesn't do anything he regrets, alright? Don't let him act as stupidly as I did. And if you two wind up together and have kids, make sure he's around. I can tell you, honestly, one of the most heartbreaking things in my life was being brought back from the dead by a former student of mine and finding out that I had a daughter. Finding out that I had missed her childhood was so much worse than any wound I have ever gotten. And it isn't something that can be healed." His words were caring but slightly sad.
"Sorry, I don't mean to bore you with my life story, all I'm saying is that you better not let him miss any of that kind of stuff... because nothing else in this world can hurt someone more and, even though I've had a good life, I wouldn't wish some of what I've been through on even the worst of my enemies." He said as he snapped out of his daze.

Her eyes unexpectedly bubbled up with tears and Chess quickly covered them "I'm sorry!" she gasped, trying to squelch the tears before they got away but they slid past her hands anyways "Its hard on us too. The children." she spoke suddenly, taking her hands away to stare at Kirama, her eyes hard "My father...he left us with our mom. Our horrible drunk of a mother who beat the crap out of us when ever she felt like it!" she clenched her fists, keeping her eyes on Kirama "I won't ever, ever let my kids live without a parent. Or, like my mother did to my older brother, force my children to care for themselves or one another. I won't ever let that happen." she rubbed her face again and her cheeks were red as Chess finally broke the stare, glaring out into the trees.

Kirama smiled at how strong her emotions were and he extended her long arm out to rest on her shoulders and comfort her. "Hey now, buck up alright. You gotta be strong for them ya know. And hey, if you ever need anything you can come find me, alright?" He asked with a big goofy grin. "My cats are almost always wandering around Leaf, you find one of them and tell them and I'll be on my way immediately."

"Your cats?" Chess blinked at him for a moment "My brother is the strong one. He always took mom's beatings, even the ones that were meant for us. He took care of us...made breakfast, lunch and dinner, helped us when we were sick..." she sighed and her shoulders sagged under Kirama's arm "He was like our father. Until we all got adopted...and Nash got left behind. No one...no one wanted him." Chess felt more guilt about that than anything she might have actually done to Nash. "He was the only one of us who didn't get adopted..."

"Hey now, that's not something that is under your control alright. There wasn't anything you could do to change that." Kirama said as he pulled out a scroll. "And yes, my cats. Here, let me show you." He carefully unrolled the scroll, bit the tip of his finger so as to draw a little blood, and then wiped the blood lengthwise across the scroll. With out pausing for a moment he formed a long string of handseals at a high rate and in several puffs before them appeared a few of his cat summonings. There were two snow white tiger cubs, a Leopard, a Puma, a Lioness, and an absolutely massive white tigress. The perched regally in the tree tops.
"These are my Wild Cats. The two cubs are Yin and Yang. They get into a bit of trouble and specialize in water and earth techniques. They are also the only ones that can not speak. The puma is Chales. He specializes in healing techniques. The leopard is Spots, he's a sneaky shifty one. The lioness is Douglas, she's the pride mother. And the big white tiger is Frost. She's a little temperamental, but she is my partner in crime so to speak." As Kirama introduced them all the summonings, with the exception of Yin and Yang introduced themselves. Frost took some prodding from Kirama before she would do so however, and constantly had a look on her face that suggested she felt a greater need to be elsewhere.

Chess squeaked at the sight of the cubs "They're so cute! Oh my gosh, they're adorable!" she clapped her hands together slightly then turned an adoring stare on the other animals. Frost awed her as she took in the massive creature "Oh she's beautiful...I think she's just royal!" the other cats amazed her as well and she committed the animals to memory "They really are just beautiful..." she smiled but despite Kirama's words about not being able to change anything...she still felt a horrible guilt. If it weren't for their mother, if it weren't for them, Nash might have had a chance to make friends. But their mother beat him, the other children relied on him for everything and he'd never had a chance to do anything for himself "Just handsome, they are..." Chess said softly and held her hand out to Yin and Yang, palm up.

"Careful with them, they'll start a fight over attention." Kirama said as one of the cubs brushed up against Chessa's hand only to have the other one tackle it out of the way and do the same. The only thing that kept it from falling through the canopy was lightning fast reflexes, sharp claws, and a quick scoop by Kirama. "Go ahead and pick him up, he won't hurt you." Kirama said as he set the other in his lap and began to stroke it behind the ears. "These guys only follow directions when you make them. They're like big babies." Douglas the Lioness reminded Kirama in her smooth rich voice that they were and Kirama rolled his eyes. "Yes, well, they've been babies for centuries of our time, you know you live in a who different plain of existence."

Chessa lifted the other up and into her lap, instantly lavishing affection on the cub "The fur is so soft! Its like nothing I've ever felt." she rubbed under its chin and around the backs of its ears, cooing the whole time "They really are all so beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen creatures like this..."
