"Actually," Lin spoke up, "Earendil has an extra bunk but...."

That was the other thing, he was male. So that would prove to be a problem.

"We could shuffle around the living arrangements a bit," Lin offered.

Though she wasn't sure how the only way she could see it possible if the twins split up, since they were the only pair that was male and female bunking together.

Haldia glanced down at Lin. "What kind of shuffling do you think is possible?" she asked curiously. "I mean ... I don't really want to be kicking anyone out of their own bed, either ..."

"I know," Rhea beamed. "Celeb can bunk with Earendil, I'm sure they wouldn't mind! Then Celeb's room will be free for you, and you won't even have to share with anyone!"

"I don't mind sharing," Haldia said quickly, her brow furrowing anxiously. "Really ..."

"It would probably be the easiest," Lin told Halida.

She was glad that Rhea found a much easier way, otherwise they would have to separate the twins and Starr didn't know Haldia that well.

"To share, the only way for that to be possible is to bunk with Starr, or someone to bunk with Starr, and have Storm bunk with Earendil. The twins have been together since... well they were born."

She didn't mention also because Starr might be nervous bunking with Haldia. It was easier to say the twins had not yet reached the point where they would do something on their own, then again the mer twins haven't yet so it might never happen.

Haldia still hesitated, but she looked somewhat relieved. "Thank you," she smiled warmly at Lin. "I suppose I should talk to Celeb and his mother then ... I hope they're not too put out, I know Arwen wasn't especially glad that I am coming along ..."

Rhea laughed. "Don't take it personally. She just remembers the first night when you showed up and threatened Leyenda, that's all. She'll get over it."

"Rhea is right, give it time and down the road it'll be hard to imagine," Lin grinned.

Of course she knew a lot about people who seemed on the surface impossible to get along with and in the end no one could imagine doing without them.

Haldia smiled gratefully at Lin. "Thank you," she murmured. "I'll go speak with them then."

As she moved off, Rhea smiled and stepped closer to Lin. "I really hope things go well for her," she murmured softly. "She really is quite nice, when she's not being overprotective."

"It'll be fine...." Lin assured her friend, "It's like Elrohir all over again, not that I would know I only have stories to go by."

She had never known Elrohir to be anything but nice and kind, sure a bit grumpy when she was little but her Dad could be quite grumpy on a bad day.

"Stories?" Rhea tilted her head curiously. "What kind of stories?"

She had never heard of Elrohir being overprotective: but then, she was only about ten years older than Leyenda, by the time she had been old enough to know anything about that kind of stuff, Arwen had already been married and moved away.

"Stories from before Haven even existed," Lin replied, "Before I was born... heck this was before Mom and Dad were even married."

Actually her father had once said this was before he lost all semblance of sanity but seeing as he had been with the family even before the whole Four Lands opened to them, she would say he lost it a long time ago.

"Apparently Triton, Mom, Dad, Elnara, Daeron and a few of the pets traveled to the Southland with Elrohir."

Rhea tilted her head curiously. "From the Borderlands, I assume? And what happened?"

As far as she was concerned, Elrohir and his family had always lived at Haven - at least for as long as mattered.

"One... Elrohir was the extremely over protective brother," Lin giggled a bit, "And two, Elnara-sissy was traveling to the Southland at the time with only my big brother Triton for company."

Triton was male of course, granted being a different race should have made him safe except Triton didn't understand the term of personal space, or so it sounded like.

"Apparently there were quite a number of misunderstandings."

"Mm, that sounds like fun," Rhea grinned, her eyes sparkling brightly. "I don't suppose there's anyone here who was there who could give firsthand stories about that?"

She thought through everyone on the ship. The only one she knew who was old enough who might know was Earendil, and she wasn't even sure about that.

Lin laughed at that, go figure Rhea would want to know, "No... unfortunately... You'd have to ask Elrohir himself, Dad... which I wouldn't suggest, or Mom... well Ulani and Ulrich would go a few stories too..."

She thought about it for a moment before nodding at Rhea.

"No one is old enough to know... Earendil I know from my brothers Yue and Yukito was very young when my family first visited."

Rhea nodded thoughtfully. "Then that must have been close to a century ago then," she murmured. "Something like that at least."

She turned to Lin and smiled. "Mm. So how do you feel to be leaving the island?" she asked softly. "We've been there so long, it almost started feeling like home."

"It feels weird being back on the ship," Lin admitted, "Though not as odd as it's going to be to feel snow again. Between the time on the ship and the one there.... if we see snow on the trip it's going to be strange."

Then again being back home was going to be strange in general but that was a long ways off yet.

"But I'm glad to be able to see what else is out there."

Though she supposed it would be calm from here on out. After all what were the chances of having another place full of people.
