Naito nodded his head while laughing nervously. "Alright Garaden, but for some reason this place gives me the willies." He looked at the dea plants with no life in them. "I mean who on earth would live here?"
Balto stopped for a moment as he froze. He didn't like the smell of what things were like and lightly growled under his breath in agitation. Hopefully the others would either get the message or it was just him that was bonkers of thinking two wolves were approaching. Nonetheless he followed but with caution.

Journey frowned with a short sigh, looking down at the necklace. "I know there's somethin' special 'bout this necklace. I kin feel it. But why would it affect you so?" She searched Kai's face, trying to find anything that might help, bet he just looked nervous. She sighed again and nodded. "Okay. Keep yo chin up. I'll ask Ivan ta help me keep an eye on this. You just stop looking at it. We can't have ya gettn' hurt from feeling 'outta it' at the wrong tahm." She pawed him again with a small smile. Now she was getting nervous, but it also made her more determined.
Garaden tilted his head and yipped in suprise and embarassment. How had he not noticed the change? He hung his head slightly and tried to pay more attention. "It is a bit creepy, but we're knights. We gotta go where we gotta go to fight the dangers." He said, picking his head back up confidently. Then- "So, Katsou. How far in you think we're going?"
"I'd miss you like I'd miss a sore tooth." Ivan scowled at Kai, while allowing a slight crinkle at the corners of his eyes to mar the serious look on his face. Kai looked nervous.. He didn't really belive Ivan would do that to him, right?
He glared back at Katsou with suspision, as always. He didn't like discussing his family with strangers. He knew that if he was ever targeted, his family would be in danger too just by existing. He didn't know whether or not Katsou was interested in his kids, but he was cautious just the same. "I guess I do." He said simply, offering nothing else.
He had noticed something in the air like Balto, but it seemed to be distant and somehow didn't recognize Cheshire's scent, so he put it off for the moment. His focus sharpened as the scenery changed. What was wrong here? Something was missing... He was just so used to bird songs, it wasn't obvious to him when they weren't in the background anymore.

Katsuo nodded at Atreyu. "Yeah." He said growing nervous again since they were getting somewhat close to the Dead Woods, "I just hope none of our kids, if and when we have them, turn out like Hai. I don't need anymore wolves that have a temper like hers. He stopped when he heard a twig or something crack. He looked around for a moment before focusing on Atreyu then Garaden. He stored away what he learn to use at another time. "Well I do hope you're right Atreyu." He said turning to Garaden, "I don't know......." He jumped when he heard another twig snap. He then caught a flash of fur and freaked. "I have to go!" He yelped before bolting. He ran back the way they came from.

(( I'll hold up the two trouble maker's attack so Blue can toss in who she wanted if she still wants to :3 ))
"Eh, who knows Journe- I heard that Ivan!" Kai flicked his gaze towards Ivan and pretended to look hurt by his comment and sour mood. Why was he always so serious? (*horrible Joker impression* Why so serious? *falls over* XD). He raised his paw to his chest and groaned, throwing his head back dramatically.
"That hurts Toto, that hurts real deep. Honestly, you think you'd be so much kinder to your mate's bro."
Returning his attention back to Journey, Kai shrugged and managed to keep his gaze from falling on the necklace around her neck.
"Easier said than done but I don't know. Do you think Ivan's up to the task of babysitting the necklace?" He asked, tilting his head.
Atreyu gave Katsuo a friendly smile; far too trusting and naive for his own good it seemed. He was about to say something further to Katsuo but jumped when the young male excused himself so suddenly and ran off. He waved after him and turned back to the others.
"And there goes our guide..." Atreyu glanced after Katsuo again and couldn't help but have a horrible feeling as to what caused him to run off like he did. Growling, he glanced around at the dead woods. "Something must have spooked him... I don't like this at all."
On full alert, he took a deep breath and continued in the direction Katsuo had been leading them although.
"I don't think I've ever been in this part of the woods...nor do I think I ever want to return to his part of the woods." He said conversationally to the others, trying to sound as if nothing was wrong and he was not bothered by their current predicament.
Cheshire crouched down as they slid to a halt and jumped off his accomplice's back. He landed gracefully beside him and gestured towards the approaching voices he could hear in the distance.
"They need a little confusion in their lives."He said simply, nudging the other male excitedly. He leaned over and whispered the plan that had formed in his head.
"Sure, confusion..." He sounded bored and laid down next to Cheshire in the bushes, waiting for them to draw close. His ears twitched at the whispered plan and he yelped and turned to glare at him. "No, no! There is no way I'm doing that-" He yelped again as Cheshire hopped up and began kick up dirt on him. Sputtering and hopping to his feet, he pushed Cheshire away and growled at him.
"This ain't coming out of my fur easily you know." Cheshire merely laughed and disappeared further into the bushes. Sighing and taking a deep breath, Tsubasa stepped from the bushed and sat down; looking dejected and feigning to be hurt.

Naito rolled his eyes wishing they would be in a nicer place. "You sure got that right."
Balto watched the others. He had went back to his senses instead of being agitated. If something was going to come out and get him then he wanted it to attack. He was ready for anything that would come towards him.

Journey rolled her eyes at Kai and Ivan's bickering, then laughed in great amusement at Kai's question to her. "Oh Kai! Males can't be trusted ta watch jewelry carefully enough! This thang ain't comin off my neck till all this is sorted out. I was just gonna ask him to watch it, not hold it."
Journey froze when their guide darted off in a hurry. "What on earth got ants inta his pants?" She asked, looking at the others in confusion.
Garaden was waiting for Katsou to answer and jumped when the other male did. "What-? Hey!" He yelped as Katsou ran off. "It was just a twig." He said, shrugging and padding ahead to investigate, and spotting a gray and blue wolf sitting a short way ahead. "Hey! There's someone over here! Looks like he got beat up!" He called back, only to freeze in place when he was called back. "But-?"
Ivan snorted. "You are not her "bro," thankfully. And I'll be kinder when you stop trying to give me cheesy names like that."
He frowned when Katsou vanished, and a half second later had a growl deep in his throat. "What the hell.." He looked forward. "Have any of you been this way before?" He asked, hoping someone had.
"Garaden, get back here! Don't be wandering off!" He snapped irritably. "We'll all go if we have to." Someone hurt all the way out here? What was he out here for and why was he hurt? And he happened to be right in their path. Being his usual self, Ivan's sense of suspicion raised about three notches. He decided to pay more attention to keeping eveyone together and their surroundings than the wolf ahead. There were six others who could care about that.

((Thanks Starreh. My internet died this weekend otherwise I would have posted sooner))
Nanami stepped out of shadows after Katsuo ran off. "What was his problem?" She muttered to herself. She then turned to look at the other wolves. "What are you doing in my home?! No one ever comes to the Dead Woods. ...... Well except for my family and Agrona's. But that's besides the point!" She growled. She stood half crouched with her eyes narrowed. She didn't know these wolves and thus couldn't trust them. She looked at Atreyu then Journey. "Katsuo was probably spooked by me. He probably thought I was Mnemosyne or Lethe or Kanna or one of the others who stay here." She explained before turning to face Atreyu, "If you have a problem with my home then leave! Go before I call my dad or Lethe and Mnemosyne on you." She then turned when she heard the black wolf mention that someone was hurt. "What are you talking about?! I don't see any- OH! What's wrong with that guy?" She had just spotted Tsubasa and glared at him split between being concerned and suspicious.

“Hey, I take offense to that Journey. I think I can handle jewelry pretty well. Girls aren’t the only ones who care about all that stuff.” He stuck his tongue out at her and then redirected it to Ivan, flashing him an amused look before he finally noticed the young, blond pup that had now appeared. He glanced at the others and pointed out her before asking, quite bluntly, “Where’d the pipsqueak come from?” He studied Nanami for a moment and tilted his head. “Blond hair… blue eyes… for some odd reason, when I look at her, I think of … someone baking cookies?” Kai groaned and shook his head. “Great, I’ve finally and completely lost it.”
Atreyu narrowed his eyes at the young female pup that stepped out of the shadows and was suddenly struck again with a sense of familiarity.
"The Dead Woods?" He glanced around at the dead trees and shadows and shook his head. "An appropriate name…”
He listened to the young pup beginning to rattle off names of others who resided here in the woods and he shuddered. None of those names sounded too pleasing at all. At her harsh words to leave, he shook his head. He would rather she didn’t call her father or the other two she mentioned whose names did not sit well with him. “As much as I do not like this area, none of us can truly leave yet. We have business here to attend to young one. There are two very bad wolves out here in the woods and we’re trying to locate them before they cause any more troub-”
Atreyu’s turned towards Garaden as he suddenly started towards someone up ahead
“Damn it, were we too late? Did they get another person…?” He took a few steps forward and paused, frowning slightly. “What color is that wolf’s coat?” He asked, struggling to see in the darkness up ahead and get a better look.
Sitting in the trees above Tsubasa, Cheshire shook his head and glanced off down the path. He squinted his eyes to get a better look at their visitors and frowned as he heard an unfamiliar feminine voice echoing through the quiet air. It was one he didn’t recognize and he flicked his tail. It appeared he would have to jump in after all and deal with unknown female. Smirking, he jumped to another tree and chuckled to himself as he noticed what appeared to be an odd looking wolf. He kept his gaze fastened on Balto and shook his head.
"Such a strange looking thing..." He whispered to himself.
Tsubasa took a deep breath and rose to his paws, making sure to tuck one of his front paws against his chest to make it look like he had a hurt paw. Bowing his head, he took a few steps forward and whimpered; trying to make it seem like he was visibly struggling to make his way towards them.
“H-h-help me… someone…” He croaked, taking another shaky step before stopping again and panting.

Naito noticed that a new female had entered the area. At first he was wondering why she was being so possesive, but let it slide when he realized that she wasn't going to attack them. He then flicked an ear in the direction of the voice.
Balto cocked his head to the side before looking at the others. "Do you hear that?"

Journey snickered. "That's how the general male population tend to be though. You're an exception I guess." She tilted her head at the female pup. "Home? Really." She wondered aloud, looking around the dismal space.
Journey tilted her head, padding over next to Atreyu. "I think it's a lightish color." She glanced over at him. "Are you thinking... Him possibly? A trickster?"
Garaden pawed the ground anxiously. "Dude. Come on!" He whined at Ivan. "Make up you're mind!"
When he saw the pup come in, he did a double take, instantly distracted. "I don't think you've lost it Kai... She looks like someone..." His eyes widened slightly, suddenly remembering a friend from his childhood. "Say... would your dad happen to be an anthro?" Could it really be?
Ivan paid no mind to the young feminine voice that appeared suddenly. The stranger's weak voice had finally got his attention. Indecision made him pause. Maybe the guy really was hurt? He shook his head and sat down, waiting, and not trusting the shadows.

Nanami looked at the knights taking in all of their reactions. She decided to start off with Kai and his comments about how she reminds him of someone. "What are you going on about Pinky?" She asked pausing, "Baking cookies...... sounds like something my Dad does every now and then. Of course his cookies aren't always edible cause of all the fur......" She trailed off and looked at Garaden. "Anthro? My Dad? ..... Yeah he's an anthro. Why do you know him?" She said thinking, "I was told I take after my Dad rather than my Mother...... Saxor takes after Mom." She sighed as she mentioned her odd brother.
She shook her head and then moved on to Atreyu. "You haven't truly seen the Dead Woods. This is just the border lands right before it. The Dead Woods are far worse than here." She said tilting her head, "Bad wolves...... I can't have any bad wolves here. I'll have to make sure that they leave immediately. It's bad enough that Agrona lives here. And hey! Watch your language! I am still a kid you know!" She glared at him for a moment before nodding at Journey. She then looked at the hurt wolf. Something about him made her not trust him. "Too bad Saxor isn't here...... He'd be able to tell us what happened to that guy over there."

"True, so very true. We guys who understand jewelry... we're a dying race." Kai chuckled at Journey and looked at Balto and tilted his head. He had yet to hear or notice the gray wolf that was approaching them and was far too caught up in what was going on within their own group. He shook his head at the male and took a step towards him.
"What voice? What are you talking about? Heh, I think you might be the one losing your mind instead of me." He laughed again and shook his head. "The only voices I hear are our own... unless it's a ghost."
"I'm sorry my dear, I forgot myself and I stand corrected. If this is only the border, than I know for certain I will not venture further into your home. I... just have a very bad feeling about it. And yes, bad wolves that will more than likely be a pest to you and your family here in the woods." Atreyu explained to Nanami. At the sound of Garaden's whine to Ivan, Atreyu glanced away from the younger wolf and stared at the wolf that was calling for their help. He glanced at Journey at her question and closed his eyes, trying to think quickly. "I'm... not sure. He's the first gray male we've come across in the woods... but if he was the trickster, where exactly is Cheshire?" He glanced around the path and then turned his attention to the others. "But if he is injuried, we have to check up on him but I don't want to take any chances of him attacking any one of us." He looked back towards the male and noticed him approaching slowly and bit back a growl of warning to keep him back. "I guess we don't have to worry about going to him.... stand together and please, no rash moves." He whispered to the others.
Smirking at Balto's response, Cheshire carefully snapped off a branch and threw it down at Balto's head. He quickly leapt to another tree branch and jumped down into the bushes, smiling wickedly to himself as he listened to Tsubasa closely and waited for the right moment to jump out. He could see the young blond wolf clearly now and hoped that Tsubasa would not get mad at him if he chose to toy with this one while he dealt with the others.
Tsubasa began to walk slowly again towards the knights and looked each of them over. Great, Cheshire is sending me to my death. I can't possibly take on all of them He frowned but continued on walking forward. Lifting his head, he let out a yelp and paused, a few feet from them.
"Please, I need your help. I'm completely lost... I was attacked earlier... can anyone of you heal wounds or maybe food? I'm starving-- Ugh," Tsubasa winced and groaned from the imagined pain in his side. "I don't know what's going on...and I've lost something very precious to me along the way. It belonged to my mother. A necklace... with a moon gem. It was stolen from me... I... please, can you help me?" He tried to sound somewhat desperate and took a step towards them and bit his lip nervously as he waited for their answer.

Balto dodged the branch as it was chucked at him. "Alright! Who did that?" He snarled a bit before looking at the wolf who just appeared. He raised an eyebrow in confusion as to what he wanted.
Naito watched Balto for a sec before turning his attention to the new wolf. He didn't know who he was, but didn't care that much. He would help him as long as he appeared friendly.

Journey sighed in frusteration. "That's the problem with tricksters. You don't really know what they's gonna do. Or what they ain't gonna do."
Listening to the stranger's story, then about the necklace, Journey gasped softly. She tried to think back to when she had traveled to the past. There was every chance he could be the wolf, but also just as much that he wasn't. She had made a choice earlier though, to not let the necklace go until the whole thing had been sorted. She kept her head down to block the gem from the stranger's line of sight.
Garaden nodded his head. "Ah! I'm about 95 percent sure I know your dad. He's a friend of ours!" He looked back at the male's yelp, then back to Nanami. "But we'll have to find out later I guess. We've got business here." He turned back forward fully, his paws stretching and clenching. He wanted to help the guy! What was with everyone? Did he miss something? His ears perked at the mention of the necklace and almost called to Journey. But seeing her reaction to this new info, he snapped his mouth shut again, scratching the ground and trying to be patient.
Ivan stared at the shadowy form of the stranger. At Balto's snarl, he turned his head. "What's wrong Balto?" He asked, wondering what had him so worked up. "No one did anything here."

Nanami huffed when the pink wolf ignored her. She then turned to the leader, Atreyu. "Yeah..... this isn't the best place around but it's home." She said shaking her head, "Well I can't have any bad pesky wolves here. I guess I'll help you guys out although I don't know what I'm helping you with exactly." She turned to look a Balto and frowned at the broken branch. "Why is someone throwing branches?" She mused. She wanted to take out one of her keyblades and start beating something..... like the bushes, they were an easy target for getting someone to come out of hiding. She then heard the stranger talk. "I wouldn't advise eating anything from here. It'd make you sick and probably kill you." She said off-handily. She turned to looked at the black wolf and nodded. "Wouldn't surprise me. We'll have to talk after this is done then." She then turned back to the stranger sizing him up.
