Kit just gave him a weird look then looked at the gun in her hand before giving it back.
"Sorry, I don't believe in using guns. I'm strictly martial arts and street fighting. And the occasional dagger and arrows."
She said politely. Then thought on his earlier comment as they continued forward.
"How can you care about me?! You've known me a grand total of thirty minutes! Tops!"
She waved her arms comically, her tail bristling.

Michal holstered his gun and nodded, as he walk along side her.
"you could know a person for ten seconds up four years, but to care about someone you got to have reason, generally. I do have a reason, your the only person to ever get me to smile."
He said looking at the way Kit reacted, then laughed. After he finished laughing He started to hum a lullaby he remember from his childhood.

"Maybe, but normally people give me a weirded out smile. Not always a good thing."
She rubbed the back of her neck as her ears flattened to the sides. She heard him humming and smiled brightly.
"That's a pretty song, what is it?"
She asked curiously.

He stopped humming and look over at her.
"Well the smiles you get out of me are good ones."
he placed his hand on her shoulder and squeezed lightly, then smiled warmly at her.
"And thank you, It's a old lullaby my mother sung to me when I was young."
He said letting go of her shoulder, then continued to hum.

Kit just nodded and her ears flopped back a little bit. She chewed her bottom lip gently and stepped away discreetly. She wasn't sure about all the physical contact so she just decided to keep her distance a little bit.
"My mother never did anything like that, but, I miss her a lot."
She said softly, her tail now drooping.

He asked her , now looking at the gap between them.

"She... was taken away after I turned a certain age. The lab workers decided that I was old enough to be without her and I never saw her again.
She told him and stared at the ground as they walked, her ears lowered more so.

" How bout, when all this blows over we go and find her, that is of course I'm not dead by then"
He said smiling at her,then all of a sudden fell on his face.
"Ow...that really hurt"
he said rubbing his face and looked to see what he triped on, and saw a rock jutting out of the ground.

Kit was shocked at his offer but then suddenly he wasn't there, but on the ground.
"Huh?"
She looked at the scenario then burst out laughing, hands wrapped around her tummy.
"See, paying attention to me is bad for your health!"
She exclaimed through her laughter and offered him a hand up.

Michal blushed a deep red out of embarrassment, he looked at the ground after Kit helped him up. he was to embarrassed to make eye contact or to really talk, the only thing he utter was in a low mumble.
"...your more important then my health..."

Kit was grinning madly.
"Aw come one! I trip all the time, it wasn't that bad!"
She laughed and gave him an overly strong whump on the back.
"It could have been much worse! You could have tripped over nothing, or you could have tripped, rolled down a hill, landed in a river and then have whatever you tripped on come rolling down after and hit you!"
She laughed, though what he didn't know was that this exact scenario had happened to her.

Kit laughed a bit more until something caused her ears to twitch forward. Stopping abruptly, she swung up her arm to stop Michal as well. A bullet whizzed past their noses and Kit jumped into action.
"Get into cover!"
She called to the others and leapt into the brush, taking Michal with her.

Michal sailed through the air by Kits strength.
"what is it"
He asked changing his position to proned he pulled out his gun.

Emily had been about to warn the others when she heard the shot. She had heard the rustling right before the shot rang out. She jerked herself to the left, her arm throbbing from the beating it had gotten earlier. Pulling her Glock out of her coat, she crouched behind a tree, ready to move forward to different cover.
Lynn drove up to a small cabin. Her tracking device worked. She strode up to the cabin and gave it a solid knock. She pulled out her gun and chewed down on the transmitter in her molar. The tiny capsules in her blood released their chemical cocktails. Of course, she hoped she wouldn't have to use brute strength, but it never hurt to have insurance. Lynn heard a shot fairly close, but far away so it wouldn't cause trouble. It would probably prove to be a good distraction for the half-breeds.
