Kal rubbed his head gently as he tried to get away from where he was, if only make it a few feet, he might make it back slowly to the group. He wished to get back to behind the group in a matter of 8 or less minutes. As well as hopefully dodge the spell Malifius seemed to be conjuring.
(4 or so posts to get back to the group, is my estimation. right?)

((Zack, you can't move across a room that is more than 50 yards in length in a matter of seconds, I know you put that you "tried to get behind Tjaden and Erron", but I can't tell if you meant "I'm behind them now" or "I'm trying to make my way back to the group". Because the orb is on the far end of the room. Malfius is standing about 15 yards in front of the group who are at the opposing end of the orb... And please stop making one line posts, again not just you, but a reminder to everyone.))

"Well, I'm fairly sure talking would be pointless at this point," Laren said matter-of-factly and then fired her bow. From her position behind their foe she took aim at the muscle which provided the power to the cultist's wings.
((Aaand not much I can do besides that... well maybe make a molotov cocktail with all the booze Laren bought earlier but I don’t think we have time for that…))

Tjaden frowned. Laren had chosen the groups next move, even if the cultist had left no choice anyway. The Orc was not about to let him cast his spell if he could help it. Interposing himself between those behind him and the cultist, Tjaden charged in Viper Stance, swinging his enchanted blade in a reversed grip toward the throat of the cultist over his chest level shield.

((Two posts is fine, Zack, at this point with you revealed and Malfius casting at you, chances are, you're sprinting))
Tjaden and Laren attempt to disrupt the dragonoid's concentration. If Malfius succeeds, chain lightning will arc from all clustered members.
2-4 Malfius' wing readjusted itself, blocking the incoming arrow with ease. Tjaden lunges forward to no avail, as the cultist ignored his fumbling blow. Chain Lightning is cast; Tjaden, Laren and Erron take moderate, minor and minor damage respectively.
5-11 Malfius' wing accepts the arrow, its scaly defense holding strong. Tjaden's attack however, shakes him from his chanting, spell is disrupted, and minor damage is dealt.
12 Tjaden and Laren's combined assault breaks Malfius' concentration and disrupts his spell. Moderate damage is dealt.
Results:Malfius' wing accepts the arrow, its scaly defense holding strong. Tjaden's attack however, shakes him from his chanting, spell is disrupted, and minor damage is dealt.

Watching Tjaden's charge in combination with Laren's arrow shot, along with Kal's valiant attempt to grab the orb and end the encounter without having to fight the Cult Leader, Erron came to the conclusion it was time to try "it". He swiftly stepped around Tjaden, twisting his body to gain momentum and opening his hand, folding his thumb in, Erron executed the Quivering Palm

Selce went to the right enough to see around Tjaden and Erron, she readied and instead of aiming at the cultist sent her next spell at the Eye. She readied her strongest spell, the RUBY RAY OF REVERSAL and aimed the ray to hit the eye. She hoped everyone else could keep Malfius busy. "Kal see if you can get the Eye now!" She yelled as she turned to watch Malfius.

It appears Malfius must be defeated before the barrier can be dispelled.((Apparently bold italics aren't clear enough. You are not touching the Eye until the freakin' cultist leader is dead.... Jebus H Mahoney))
The barrier shimmered as the powerful dispelling blast struck against it, though amazingly, it held strong. It must be tied to the life force of Malfius himself.
Erron attempts to strike down Malfius with the Quivering Palm.
1 Complete Failure, no damage dealt, Malfius lands a moderate damaging attack.
2-10 Minor damage dealt.
11-19 Moderate damage dealt.
20 Heavy damage dealt.
Results: Though Erron forces his way into the cultist's defenses, he sends the Quivering Palm flying into Malfius' chest. The cultist braces himself and resits the deadly effects of the attack. With a sweep of his hand, he forces Erron to back up once again.

Kal saw that the barrier stayed strong and continued, trying to get behind the group still, with intense speed. He needed to get away from the dragnoid. He would try to get back in the shadows soon.... he wouldn't repeat his mistake though.

Pressing the attack, Tjaden sprang into a series of slashes, known as The Nest of Vipers, as his reversed gripped blade drew across several vital points of the dragon-cultist's body, attempting to penetrate his defenses.
"Insidious creature! You drive us to violence and seek only oppression! You, who have turned your back on what you once were in the pursuit of power, are now an evil pawn of those who revel in wanton destruction! Taste my vengeance!" Tjaden utterances seemed almost involuntary as he unleashed his fury upon the cultist.

((unless I'm mistaken you'd need to have a good knowledge of alchemy and herbs before you can identify the ones that specifically act as a poison, aside from the obvious ones like nightshade of course, not to mention you dont have the equipment to mix a poison nor to store it no matter how temporarily, I believe that sums it up, Tonas? One question though: Does the Quivering Palm technique here set up deadly vibrations like the original one, or is that being left out?))
taking several steps back after his blow was mostly deflected Erron twisted his body to allow Tjaden through before resuming his own assault, thinking to himself a multi pronged assault would eventually best the Draconic Cultist's defenses "Laren, Continue with your arrows if you would!" He voiced aloud.
Erron ducked below one of the cultist's wings trying to get behind him as Tjaden struck and shouted, then rose and slammed his Elbow into the Drac's spine

((Yes, Kaiten is very much correct, Zack. Aside from using pre-created concoctions, no matter how skilled of an "alchemist" someone might be, to create anything remotely effective, it would take time, effort and concentration. Not something that could occur within a few seconds while in a heated battle. You are about to get a skill that is similar to that once this dungeon is over, but not at the moment.
Also, Kaiten, the Quivering Palm is purely an assault technique, original damage which is Save vs. Death or die, with the exception of bosses, such as this one. It just has a strong potential to cause a large amount of damage.))
Tjaden, Laren (assumed) and Erron attempt to make a three pronged assault against Malfius!
3-6 Malfius erupts in a spiral of blades and appendages, blocking all attacks made and returning them in kind moderate damage dealt to Tjaden and Erron.
7-14 Laren's arrows thud into the dragonoid's back, dealing minor damage, while Tjaden is blocked by the cultist's spinning weapons and his evasive maneuvers shake Erron from his assault, dealing minor damage as well.
15-18 The trio strike true, dealing moderate damage to the cultist leader. Malfius becomes enraged.
Results: Laren's arrows thud into the dragonoid's back, dealing minor damage, while Tjaden is blocked by the cultist's spinning weapons and his evasive maneuvers shake Erron from his assault, dealing minor damage as well.

Selce wondered at the magical might of the cultist. Seeing the fight continued she began another spell. As she brought out the components she crushed them in her hand and threw them forward to complete the spell. Her FLAME ARROW arced in at Malfius.

Kal attempted to go into the shadows.
1-2 in Shadows.
3-4 ummm...not.
Result: He couldn't seem to shake the Dragonoids focus and merely threw a dagger at the winged beast. Kal hoped that it might help him in at least making Malfius less focused on offense. 4-5 things being shot or aimed at the man at one point in time. It was an easy kill.... on a normal enemy anyway.

The Dracanoid's whirling blades kept him at bay, having been forced away again he was able to survey his allies quickly, Selce seemed to be focusing fire into her hands as Kal slipped his hand to his side where he kept his throwing daggers, Erron decided to step back and concentrate on where he might best attack their opponent. He eased his breathing and watched the spinning swords carefully, searching for an opening before launching another concentrated blow.
