Hoshit. Never thought about breaking that movie out for syntax... That, and it would be absolutely hilarious if she became like V... It's like Padme in black...
But you're going to have to find some way to crew this newfound military you're pulling up. Population or not, the core is filled with pacifists and civilians, not soldiers. Sure, the core has some training facilities, but the majority of the republic is the heart of the core. Especially considering the grand amount of land the confederacy has. Between droids, and a lot more conscripts to their cause, the republic still draws up short on fighting a war. Also, unlike in teh clone wars, the republic doesn't have clone forces on active power, unlike the Confeds, who have a full droid army standing.
Profiteer all you like, but unless you have someone to pull the trigger on teh gun, there's nothing that's motivating the sale. So we quit employing people in reconstructive efforts and put them into the making of guns instead of butter. Heh... The republic can't even prevent the fighting inside it's own borders, and it's going to defend against an exterior force? Good luck. Especially since you're willing to sell out to the enemy; I mean, you're going to toss a sales pitch to buy your guns, right after you just armed their enemies? That's what got Seinar shut down during the age of the empire, is their disloyalty. Call me a stickler, but you're going to the republic, announcing that you've gone and given the executioner his axe and placed a blinder over the republic's head, and they might, just might have a chance to break free with a nail clipper? I know politicians are stupid, but they're not so stupid to nto ask "how do you know this?" and "where's the proof?" and "what's to prevent you from simply selling us out again?"
On a side note, there's nothing the republic can do about Sienar. It's a corporation. Since palpatine was the one who shut it down and reformed it, his death throws a kink in that plan happening. You'll probagly want to discuss it with Raith... if anything, the republic might consider pumping vast amounts of wealth into Seinar. Which in turn puts a kink in your SD production. Depending on how you're going to explain how you're going to deliver the republic's ships to them before the CIS overwhelms them with your first order, you might be shooting yourself in the foot by losing your entire research division. Kuat's treading on very thin ice by trying to sell to both, especially to the CIS first, not the republic that is the smaller of the two militaries...
In a strange way, the republic has become a lot like modern day russia...

It at least makes you Somalia. I wouldn't necesarily say the whole planet.
Or are you talking about Mandalore Fenn? Far as I know, he's a bounty hunter

stare Why would I compare a man to a country when the last person was comparing nations?
And Shysa is not Mandalore. He wont be until Tobbi Dala dies and since the Empire was never founded, nor did the Separatists lose, the homeworld does not consider them outlaws. They probably are training and administering the next batch of Mandalorian Protectors and attempting to rebuild the economically poor Mandalore. There is no Mandalore right now. Since Boba is still presumably a bounty hunter and Spar is suffering from severe Shell Shock, that means the choices for Mandalore fall among Tobi Dala, Fenn Shysa, and Jag Rohtul, the last of the Mandalorian Supercommandoes. None of them want the job as none of them feel qualified for the position. So currently, the Mandalorians are led by a council of Clan Leaders, with Dala and Shysa having their own seats for important matters of state.

Had to ask.
So the Clan Leaders control Mandalore, and their is no current Mandalore. That throws a wrench into my basket, as I'd assumed Fenn was Mandalore.
Eh, not really. I dunno.

Fenn won't be Mandalore until Dala dies, and in cannon that doesnt happen until much later. It doesn't hurt to attempt to get Shysa on your side, as he has major pull with the Clan Council. if you need to talk to him, I can NPC.

I'd be obliged
There history isn't all that complicated. They served similar roles for the CIS (Dillon as a Nimbus Commando, Fenn as a Mandalorian Protector), working jobs and battles as needed. I never included it in character history, but I decided by coincidence, they were in a few battles together, before the Massacre.

In a strange way, the republic has become a lot like modern day russia... The officer corps of the Republic remains, and when we look at who made up the vast majority of the Empire's recruits the Galactic Core should be able to provide for the needs, especially with modernized and computerized variants of the Imperator-class with its significantly reduced crew requirements, hence you can crew such a fleet. Secondly, Kuat is no longer a member world but an autonomous government. It's playing the same role France likes to occupy in the international arms market. They use the sale of their weapons to a country's enemies as a means of drumming up the sale of their weapons to these threatened nations. It's all to common. Hell, France sold weapons to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and other arab countries while each is fighting the other. Republic Sienar Systems was shut down by the Galactic Senate, not Palpatine. It's assets were nationalized and continued to produce, but since they lacked Sienar and his research focus these facilities are producing designs which are already obsolete.

Such as the T.I.E.
So we should find Sienar and bring him aboard.

Actually the T.I.E. isn't even available, that design didn't see production until the creation of Sienar Fleet Systems. The only starfighter design they can produce is the Dagger-class, and the only combat starship they can produce is the Marauder corvette.
I'll get Sienar aboard, he's still on Coruscant probably. He always lived on 500 Republica. I'm not saying you'll get anything out of it EK. That'd be a new contract.

Production started while they were nationalized I guess, and deliveries began as they were reorganized into Sienar Fleet Systems. So much happened in a few short weeks its hard to keep track of it all.
I guess they would have the TIE, for what little good that would do them.

As weak as the republic is, a meager fleet won't safe them. If kuat starts hiring republic workers, he becomes officially allied with the republic too. The CIS might not take kindly to you being sympathetic to their cause, especially EK's character.
Still, the republic's all but dead. All kuat is doing is trying to prevent all the credits going to the CIS.
