She looked at him and then shook his hand. "I agree that it would suit him though I dislike having people like you lie to me. I doubt Mao has had the brains to tell you that unlike most demons I have the ability to read the minds of others. You are an angel and dominance is not in your nature though I must say you do seem to have some potential." She then stood. "I am Lilith and I am him mother's mother though I obviously don't look like it. Please follow me inside." She then turned and walked in the house.
Mao sighed and followed.
Once inside, she lead them through the kitchen and into the living room. "Did you know Mao wasn't his birth name either?" she asked Nathan as they all sat down.

"Alright, it's not in my nature. But I do think it would suit him even if I have no intention of attaching a collar or forcing him to wear it." He smiled a little. "And I did enjoy watching him walk."
He spoke the truth, and coughed with a blush at the thought that entered his mind:
Maybe if he doesn't want to wear a collar I could ask to mark him somewhere and he could mark me as well.
"Really? What was his birth name - I mean, if I ought to know it?"

She gave him a genuine smile. "Yoru. That was his name. The name his mother gave him. His father didn't like it though so he got the boy used to calling himself Mao. It's a shame really because I loved the name Yoru." She paused and looked at Mao. "You two haven't done anything yet I'm guessing?"

Nathan instantly felt ashamed. I spoke as though he wasn't stood right next to us! Please don't let me have hurt him-! I did that once today, but I didn't know she'd kiss me and - ARRGH!
His fist clenched as he bit his lip, giving an extremely apologetic and entirely sincere expression to both Mao and his Grandmother.
"I'm sorry you heard that and I'm so sorry I spoke about you as if you weren't here." he whispered to them, going to offer Mao his hand as he bit his lip hard.
"No we haven't done anything yet..." he added, realising the lady had addressed them with a question.

"I knew it. That's okay though. I've been studying the place you guys are living at and I honestly don't think it's very romantic."
The whole time Mao remained silent. He figured if he opened his mouth to say anything she'd just tell his to keep quiet anyway.

Nathan, realising that Mao hadn't taken his hand, gave him a worried look that was supposed to ask whether or not Mao was mad at him. He wiggled his fingers, hoping that the Demon would accept his hand to hold this time.
Yet his eyes remained focused between the two of them. "Well no, but then we haven't really been living together..."

Mao glanced over and realize what Nathan was doing. He grabbed his hand and then inched closer and rested his head on Nathan's shoulder.
"I know that too. But that's why you came here right?" She glanced at Mao and shook her head. She then picked up a small bell that was on the table in front of her and rang it. Almost immediately a servant came to her side. The servant handed her a small red and gold box, then left. She opened the box and examined what was inside to make sure everything was in order. She then stood up. "Follow me you two."

Nathan let out a small sigh of happy relief, squeezing Mao's hand gently. When Mao's grandmother asked them to follow, he kept pace beside Mao and smiled.

She stopped in front of a set of large doors. Then she turned to the two. "Take this," she said handing the box to Nathan. "Go in and get settled. I'll be staying in the mansion for a bit, but I'll be gone by next month. When I see you two next time I better see a collar on my boy's neck and I better see you holding him down on a leash." She then smiled and left.

Nathan gaped a little, then turned to Mao without releasing his hand. "H-W- HOW-?!" He gasped, wondering how he was supposed to become comfortable with holding Mao down with a leash - no matter that he'd been sincere in saying a collar would suit the Demon, it was still mind boggling to the Angel.

Mao yawned and then went to open the doors to the room. He stepped inside and took a quick look around before going to go lay down on the large bed. All around, the room was decorated in gold and silk.

Nathan moved slowly into the room, gazing around until his gaze froze on Mao lying on the bed. His mouth was open again, except this time he could feel the drool he ws unable to prevent dripping down his chin.
"Wow..." was his limit for the moment as he stumbled forward until he got to the bed post and clung to it.
Blinking slowly, he gazed at Mao. "Am I really allowed to touch you when you look so amazing?" he whispered, biting his lip and unaware of speaking aloud.
