Behatzlacha-S Lumanny But, still, I feel as though I call myself a Jew when I don't deserve the title. I don't work at all as hard to be a devoted Chosen Person as other Jews. Are they the real Jews? I'm too assimilated. Do you believe in the G-d of our people? I do, but probably not in such a manner as many more fervent Jews would deem enough.

And then painful when you realise just how powerful you've made yourself out to be, one of G-d's creations standing before Him smug with false power. So enough Messiah stuff then; And again, it was a suspiciously conveniently flattering legend which I conveniently can't check the accuracy of. Get it, eh? wink Back to the topic.

Behatzlacha-S My younger, oafish brother has been using my toothbrush for 2 days, as I found out... Why? evil I hate toothbrush stuff. It's so hard to make sure they stay okay! My brother used to just walk into the bathroom and toss his boxers over his shoulder for his shower, leaving me to find them hanging on my toothbruch in its cup. confused And then I couldn't keep it in a cup because other OCD made me store all my old gunky floss at the bottom and it gunked up. I fixed it, but I still don't use it; I have to lay it down carefully on the blasic bag I got it from, far away from the rusting shaving cream container and the bug spray. I lost a toothbrush or two on the latter. Also, now my brother keeps putting his comb on top of my toothbrush, practically touching the bristles! *Shivers* I've tried keeping the brushes in the cases I bought them in, but after a while it just gets grungy. And not to mention when I'm done with a toothbrush I can't throw them out because of OCD. I once did and I cried until my mom let me take it out of the trash. It sits in my drawer....

Don't get me started.
Nowadays, I can't wait to destroy my toothbrushes...
I used to have one that I accidentally dropped in the toilet. I thought it was abandoning me... (I was 6) So from then on I get new toothbrushes very regularly and dispose of my old ones thoroughly.
But still... my brother's spit and mucus and plaque and all sorts!
For two frikkin' days!
...
I need to vomit.

Even the bible (from my limited understanding) tells us to be "a light to the goyim", that is, to be better people so that we may be a good example to everyone else. If you work on being a good person, then you're also working on being a good Jew. I don't know who "real Jews" are. My grandparents are as Jewish as any ultra-orthodox Jew in Jerusalem, s'far as I can tell. But that's probably because my Judaism is so linked to my Zionism.

If you work on being a good person, then you're also working on being a good Jew. But I don't; I am a bad person. I enjoy the pain of others. I enjoy playing the villain and actually practice my mind games on my friends to see if they are cruel enough. I love mind games; the perfect mix of psychology and cruelty. Manipulating the masses is a talent I am particualrly proud of. I only rarely try to be good when it suits me for the world to come or for less guilt by scrupulosity.
