Koichi laughed as they were called to the counter. They were asked what they wanted, and Koichi just replied with everything; sesame chicken with lomain, terriyaki chicken with fried rice, a small pack of mixed sushi, sunkist and a rasberry snapple. The lady rang them up as Koichi took out twenty; it wasn't too much, but it was the smallest bill he had- he only had twenties anyway. He recieved his change as the two of them were given their drinks and then asked to step to the side to await their food. "Wasn't that hard, I must say," he said sheepishly, handing her a small bottle of sunkist.
[i think a 16oz is those small ones? ::doesn't pay attention:: and you know i'm not patient, so i just went quickly through it! ]

[I'm not sure... My brother says they are. I just asked him. xD;; And don't worry about it! =P]
Kana bit her lip guiltily as she heard their order. Together, it sounded pretty large in her ears, which were drooping slightly again. But she blinked and stepped aside quickly so the next people could move forward and then slowly accepted the bottle. "Um, thank you..." she said again, bowing her head slightly. Maybe someday she'd be able to take him out to eat, to thank him for becoming her big brother, since that's what he'd used as reasoning for doing it. Perhaps she'd be able to do the same sometime. She smiled faintly. He really was spoiling her though.

[sorry if i'm laggin; i'm looking at FFX2.net xD]
After another five minutes or so, their orders were ready. "Here you go, Kitty," he said, taking the first stirafoam thing and handing it to her and taking the second one and the sushi. He leaned over, grabbing a plastic bag before placing his thing on the bottom and the sushi on top and then threw in the plastic bottle of snapple. "Woud you like me to hold that for you?" he questioned; he intended on walking back to the playground with her and eating there, if she didn't object, that is.

[I'm reading Applegeeks. xD]
Kana shook her head. "No, I've got it." The least she could do was carry her own food, after he'd bought it and everything. She glanced around at the tables, still surprised at how crowded the place seemed. Though, it didn't take too many people to have her a little on edge. Her eyes flicked back towards Koichi again, her head tilted and ears perked towards him. The fact he was packing up his food had her a little curious. Ok, so maybe more than a little... "Are we not eating here then?" she asked, tail flicking restlessly behind her again.

"Well, you seem on edge, so I decided we should go eat in the playground," Koichi said, starting for the escelator, "assuming, that is, you don't object." He stopped to look her, wondering if she really would say no. He wondered if she'd get the idea of putting the food in the bag she held, too. All the same, though, he waited for her to catch up before going anywhere else.

[It's an online comic. ^^]
Kana watched him for a moment, and then nodded, a sudden bright smile coming over her face. "Ah, ok!" she cried, hurrying after him. But then she paused, backing up to the counter she'd just darted away from. She puased a moment before slowly grabbing a bag as well, and placing her food carefully inside. Then she set the bottle of sunkist on top and pratically bounced back towards Koichi. "Ok, let's go!" she grinned, eager to return outside.

Hikaru walked into the mall along with Rayna and Kylie, all set to shop for Andi's big birthday party the next day. Looking around, she put a finger to her chin as she thought of where to go first. "Hmm... so we're going to need presents, decorations, good music, snacks, a cake..." she said, thinking out loud. "What else? Am I forgetting anything?" She turned back to face her two friends, a huge smile painted across her face. Hikaru loved parties, and kids' parties were always more fun! They always get so excited over everything, and they're just so much fun to watch. And Andi seemed like a pretty cool little kid, so she was sure everyone would have a great time. "So, where to first...?"

Rayna looked around, shrugging. This was the first time at the ForestLake Mall- Kylie's, too. Kylie looked over to Hikaru. "Party favors!" she sayd, laughing. Rayna dug deep inside her jean pocket, pulling out her wallet. "Well, Mom sent me some more money, so I think we'll be alright." she said. Normally, she got money from her 'foster' mother once or twice a month. This month, her mother sent her money twice, which made Rayna really happy and relieved. Plus, she saved up her money, so she had plenty. Kylie, too, had a little money, but not much. Her family was not really that wealthy. Rayna shoved her wallet back into her pocket of her baggy blue jeans, looking up to Hikaru and smiling. "We can get decorations, first." she said. "Like balloons, paper plates, and stuff." she added. Kylie smiled, nodding. She grabbed her long, knee-length black skirt and ran a direction, not knowing where she was going. "Well, let's go look for a store, then!" she called, laughing. Rayna smiled, chuckling as she shook her head.

"It's over here!" Hikaru said, running off in the opposite direction and pointing down a few stores. Without waiting for Rayna and Kylie to catch up, she excitedly dashed over to the store in question: 'The Party People.' The inside of the store looked like a party itself, with colorful banners and streamers hanging from every corner. There was happy dance music playing in the background, and all of the sales clerks were dressed up in bright clothing.
Ducking her head out the store for a moment, Hikaru glanced back to see if Rayna and Kylie were still following her. "Hey, you guys!" she called out. "I'm right in here! This place looks great!" She then went back into the store, strolling up and down the aisles and looking around for some decorations that would be good for Andi's party.

Both Rayna and Kylie whirled around to the store Hikaru was talking about. Both of them ran over and inside of the store, looking around. Kylie immediately skipped off, dancing to the music as she joined Hikaru in searching the aisles. Rayna stood there for a moment, looking around the place. A woman came up to her, in a bright yellow shirt and jeans with a striped uniform vest. She looked no more than in her early twenties, with short, shoulder-length light brown hair and pale green eyes, and a wide smiled. She clapped her hands together and smiled down at Rayna. "Welcome! What can I get you?" she asked cheerfully. Rayna looked over to her and blinked, standing there for a minute. "O-oh!" she said, laughing nervously after the few seconds of silence. "I'm looking for, err...decorations." she said lamely. "They're for my daughter. Well, she's really not my daughter, but she will be! I mean, she's from the-"
"So sorry, miss. She ment to say that she's addopting her little sister." Kylie said from over Rayna's shoulder, who jumped when she first heard her speak. How long had she been there? The lady smiled, laughing a little. "I see. Well, what did you have in mind?" she asked. Rayna, a little red in the face, scratched the back of her head. "Well, she likes light colors, like light pink and light yellow...."

Hikaru couldn't help but laugh a little when she heard Rayna's slip-up followed by Kylie's quick correction. As she walked by where she was standing, she nudged her playfully in the side, giving a sort of goofy smile to indicate she'd heard the exchange. It was all in good fun, though. Disappearing around the corner of the aisle for a moment, she came back around with a package of party hats and assorted noisemakers.
"Hey, what about these?" she asked, holding them out for Rayna to see. "If it's a party, you gotta have crazy slide whistles and clacky things and... and... these things that go VvvVvVvvVwWWwWwwOooOOoOmmMmMmmMm when you blow into them!" Hikaru waved her arms around excitedly as she imitated the sound effect. Watching her probably reminded Rayna of a six year old girl herself - except in a fourteen year old's body. Hiko was really a kid at heart.

Rayna looked over to Hikaru and laughed. She did indeed remind Rayna of a six year old. She trotted over to her, leaving Kylie with the employee of the store to chat and explain what they were looking for. Rayna stood by Hikaru, going through the number of things on the shelves. They sure did have a lot of things there. "Sure! And little bottles of bubbles annnd....candy! Lots of candy!" she said, laughing. "How big are the goody bags going to be?" she asked, looking at the different sizes and colors. She smiled. 'This is actually pretty fun. I'll just have to remember to let Hiko and Kylie talk to the workers at stores for me...' she thought, shaking her head. She didn't know that the thought was sent into Hikaru's mind.

Hikaru laughed, thinking nothing of the reflexive telepathy that was going on between her and Rayna by this point. She clapped her friend on the shoulder, winking and smiling brightly. "Don't worry, we'll handle everything!" she said cheerily before turning to the impressive selection of candy. "The goody bags should definitely be huge!" She held her arms out wide to indicate the size she was thinking of. "Everybody loves candy!" she said, grinning widely. "And I can help out too with some stuff from my own personal stash if you need me to, I've always got a lot lying around my room." whee

Rayna laughed nervously when Hikaru said she and Kylie would handle everything. That meant that Hikaru had heard her. Now she was worried- normally, she knew when someone heard her thoughts. People around her, anyway. But this just happened and she hadn't known what happened. Rayna had a worried look on her face for a second, but only a second- she was distracted at how wide Hikaru was holding her arms out. "Not THAT big!" she cried, widening her eyes a bit. She took Hikaru's arms and resized the space a bit, so it was only half the size- which was still big. "We don't want them to get a thousand cavities." she said, picking up a yellow noisemaker and blowing on it, laughing.

Hikaru frowned for a moment - but only a moment before she began laughing again. "Yeah, I guess you're right," she said, winking again. "Kids' mouths are smaller, after all!" With that, she grabbed a bag and began piling all of her favorite kinds of candy into it, reasoning that little kids would probably have similar tastes. It was a good assumption, considering that Hikaru had been addicted to candy ever since she was small herself.
"I'll handle this stuff, okay?" she said, turning to Rayna. "You should go see how Kylie's doing with the banners and streamers and balloons and stuff. We've got candy and noisemakers and party hats covered, so that should be everything else we need from this place." She nodded, smiling happily as she continued filling the bag.
