"That's right," Lore replied with a nod, "That would be the easiest way to do it, and fortunately we have the bag space to fit everything that can get past the opening of the bag itself."

Which was very useful...

"So anything really that had fit past there can be go to be taken, and as for the furniture... I guess if we shove them in ahead of us it might work."

Elnara nodded. "And I'm sure that Ulrich and Amdir and Elrohir and Ahren and Adanedhel ... well, everyone would be more than happy to help out," she giggled. "So it's not as if we're lacking in helping hands or anything."

She looked around thoughtfully. "I ... really can't think of anything else that we really need to take," she murmured finally. "Nothing that I would be allowed to take, anyways. You?"

"Not that I can think of," Lore shook his head at the question, "Some of the things I've been copying I have in my bag already, and there are the clothes you made... and... I think... that's about it to be honest."

He wasn't really one to take along many things to be honest. Work was another thing all together.

Elnara nodded. "Then we'll be ready easily by the time we have to leave," she murmured. "Somehow ... it makes me a little sad."

Ah well. She was sure that soon enough, the clan grounds would seem just as much like home as this place here did.

A few minutes later, Hana was finished feeding and Elnara was burping her as well.

"As soon as I change their diapers," she told Lore, "we can go, so if you want to get the slings again I'll get them changed and dressed warmly." And she moved with Hana to the changing table, setting her down carefully.

Lore rose from his seat cradling Garrick carefully as he made his wya over to Elnara.

"Where would you like me to put him?" Lore asked.

Normally he was helping with this too, he wanted to learn everything there could be which is why he did so. Just in case after all, one baby he was told was a lot but two needed help.

"Back in the cradle is fine," Elnara smiled at him warmly, "that way I don't have to worry about him falling or anything."

She turned her attention to changing Hana, and pulled out some warm clothes to dress her in before returning her to the cradle so that she could start on Garrick.

While Elnara was changing Garrick Lore went to get the slings once more so they could take the children to the Ranch. In some ways it would be exciting for them too, since they would get to go far and meet new people. Granted, Lore knew that the children wouldn't remember, but the stimulation he was sure would be refreshing.

"Here they are," Lore announced as he came back into the room.

Elnara was just finisheing up with Garrick when Lore returned, and she smiled warmly at him.

"Go on, put one on," she urged him. "We can each carry one of them, it will be the easiest way ... who would you like to carry?"

Lore didn't really have a preference to which of the twins he would like to hold, so he just decided on the one he felt he didn't hold enough.

"I'll take Garrick," Lore replied as he put on the sling.

Elnara nodded and wrapped Garrick in two different layers of blankets, then brought him over to Lore and helped get him in the sling properly.

"I hope these work all right," she murmured, tying the ends behind Lore's neck.

Then she tied the second one around herself and wrapped Hana up warmly, just as she had Garrick, and put her in her own sling.

"Comfortable enough," she smiled, adjusting the strap a bit. "It almost feels like I'm nursing her again." She giggled softly. Hana was indeed lying across her chest at just the right position, and it helped Elnara to feel safer about the whole idea of the slings.

"Ready to go?"

"I should be ready," Lore replied holding the door for Elnara.

There wasn't anything else he needed as far as he knew.

Elnara smiled and nodded.

"And off we go," she murmured, heading outside.

The air was calm around them, for which she was grateful, and the day was warm, and she felt safe bringing the twins outside for the first time since their birth. The trip to the ranch was (relatively) quick and uneventful, and before long they had arrived.

The twins, it seemed, liked the outdoors: both of them were looking around (as much as they could, pressed against their parents' chests) and stayed quiet for the entire walk.

The ranch was as usual bustling with activity. The garden and field were both in the process of being planted, Aliya was busy with foaling mares, Amdir was training, and of course all of the stable hands were busy with the stable and the horses.

There were a few people who weren't quite so busy at the moment however: Arahad, still a child, was inside with Haradhel and Arwen, working on his lessons, when he saw Lore and Elnara approaching through the large window.

"Mama!" he called out, dropping his pencil and scrambling off his chair. "Uncle Lore and Aunt Elnara are here!"

It felt good to be in a place that had many people, even if all those people were busy. Knowing that there were many and not just them... was something familiar, but that's what happens when you lived in a city for so long.

"I think they enjoyed the walk," Lore commented looking down at the two briefly.

Elnara looked down at Hana and smiled warmly. "I hope so," she murmured. "and I'm sure the fresh air is good for them. After all, being cooped up in a stale house all the time can't be good."

She knew they couldn't really be bored ... but still, she hoped that they could sense the difference in air quality, even if only subconsciously.

She stepped forward to open the door to the ranch house for them. "I hope we're not interrupting anything," she murmured softly.
