Tears started to well up in Lillith's eyes. "Tommy... ??" she whispered and then started weakly coughing up blood. "But... I saw you die... Tommy, it's me, Lillith... " she coughed again, obviously in a great deal of pain, but forced herself to sing 'thier song'.

"Nights in white satin,
Never reaching the end,
Letters Ive written,
Never meaning to send.

Beauty Id always missed
With these eyes before,
Just what the truth is
I cant say anymore.

Cause I love you,
Yes, I love you,
Oh, how, I love you...."

The song was cut short as Lillith coughed up larger amounts of blood. "Tommy... help me... please...." she whimpered as her eyes started to glaze over.

"Lillith? Shh, shh, you're fine, you're okay...hon'." he gazed into her eyes, but instead of the joy that I expected after he had just found his true love, he seemed in pain. It was as if the life had just been drained from his soul, emptying into sorrow. "Isn't there anything you could do? You worked in the military, people get injured all the time at war, right? So, what would you do if this was one of your men?" He cleared his throat and layed back his head to see the sky. "Man down." he whispered. "So how do you explain how she thought you were dead? How could you not believe in miracles when here you are, looking down at the woman who thought you no longer existed?!" I stood up and shot a glance into his milk chocolatey brown eyes. "Don't give up, do something!" I felt a growl building up in my chest, but held back as much as possible.

"Set me down, your too weak for this," I looked down at the woman, her eyes ferocious. "You need to find the others and help them! Dusk will be safe with me, I know my way around this side of the city." I gazed at Dusk, who seemed mortifiedly confused and in a daze, probably better for now.

Alexia hissed at the name calling. "I'm not weak!" She spat and held him up higher. Her arms ached but she did not let it show. She would not let this man go with the child she had sworn to protect. "And I told you, I'm going with you no matter what!" She shook him slightly. "So just shut up." Her eyes showed none of the pain, but she did clench her teeth as not to call out.

Mallory smiles and has to force himself to actually think about his response. He wanted to just say yes, but he had to be sure. And yet, what reason could he possibly have not to go? He would be with the man he loved and in a far safer place than this one. But what of the friends he'd made here? He would miss them if he left. But surely, they would wish him to be happy? "I would like to..." He looks into Lance's eyes and lightly kissed him. "I will. I have decided."

I watched as the two continued their brawl which in the end would only be pointless. I awaited the minute that one of them would give up and we could stop wasting so much time that could help Nathaniel. I glanced around before beginning to walk towards the North. I figured the base would be as far away from the other base as possible. I hoped that neither of them would hear my leave for quite some time. Though it was highly doubtful..

"Dusk!" I said, maneuvering myself away from the woman, attempting not to hurt her again. I ran to her and caught her in my arms. She wriggled under my embrace quite a bit before realizing that I was obviously stronger than she could ever hope to be. "Thought you could get away that easy?" I held her closer and planted a graceful kiss on her forehead. "You are indubitably the most stubborn little vampire I have ever had the infinite pleasure of meeting," I said plainly. I waited for Alexia to spring upon us, then realized that I had left her on the ground back behind us. "Get on," I said, as if she had a choice, I swung her onto my back and made a leap for the nearest balcony. Before she knew it we were on top of the same building, looking out at the scum of the city.

Alexia snarled and leapt after him. "Put her down!" She yelled and climbed onto the room top not meters away. "I mean it Worm." Her eyes blazed. With the lights of the city behind her, Alexia looked entirely new and scary, her short hair was tussled and wild, her tight ripped and knotted silk clothing was shinny it was pressed to tight against her form. "Why, I thought you liked her sister." she accused him and stepped forward. Her slim figure was cat like and angular and she seemed ready to pounce.

I yelped slightly as i was thrown over his back, but soon felt better once my feet were back on something more stable. The storm clouds that had began to disapate were overtaken by even larger clouds. I looked up as the rain began once more to pour without the smallest break. I sighed and rested my head against Asher's arm.

"Nope," I said, leaping onto another building. Not that it should matter to her, really. "You know," I mumbled to Dusk, "If I keep running, she'll either pass out or fall in between one of the buildings." She winced at the thought, but I got a sick masochistic pleasure out of it. "Oh, Alexia," I swooped over a clothesline, yanking a pair of ladies undergarments from it. "Catch!" I yelled over to her, throwing it in her direction.

Lexa Bated the panties away and quickly jumped after him. She was plenty quick and very good at what she chose to do. "Listen to me worm, Put her down." She leapt at him full force, hoping to tackle him and knock his light out. She used all of her strength, not holding anything back incase it did not work or she missed. It was a foolish choice, but if it did work, she would have him.

"Tommy... Dawn.... there's a... blood bank.... across... the river..." Lillith said weakly between coughs of blood. "Can... can you... help me... walk...?" she asks even though she obviously should be trying to do nothing of the kind. "please..."

I swooped away, just barely missing Alexia as she lunged toward us. What an idiotic move, considering I wasn't going to let anything happen to Dusk who clung to me with all of her energy. "Hang on," I said, taking her arms in my hands. "You know," I said, "things would be so much easier if I wasn't attracted to you,"

Al yelped as she flew past him, and off the edge of the building. She quickly plummeted towards the ground, but was halted when she flew though a window in one of the buildings. She tumbled inside, and the glass embedded it's self in her skin. "Ohhh." She moaned the pain of broken bones and cuts made her head spin. She kept her eyes closed and rolled onto her back. The intense pain with very, very bad, but she had to do something. She willed her body to get up and jump back out into the fight, but it did not move.

"Al!" I shrieked. I looked at Asher then back to the broken window. "Let me go, I have to see if she's okay." Tears welt up and began to flow down my cheeks.

I stopped at the top of one of the highest apartment buildings in the city. "I know who's window that is," I said, sighing, "she'll be fine. Doctor Surflue will take care of her, see? I see him leaning over her now. She's in good hands, we have to get to the fort before it's too late for Nathaniel." I leaped off the building and fell until my feet finally hit the ground. "We probably don't have too much time left if he's on this side of the city."
