Shadow purred and looked at Kimmi "What they?" Fillup stared blankly, his mind working through what Sarg had said, connecting the dots.
"Okay, so we have a cat-thing added to our roster of survivors..." he stated, thinking about how the other 30 or so men and women would react when the creature came back with them "..we should go ahead and clear out the facility, like Kay said" he popped his gum to punctuate the suggestion. The small team snapped back to it and shook of their shock, forming into smaller kill teams that would split up and clear out.
Milo and Otis glanced at each other and then at Kimmi and Shadow "We'll stick with you two" Milo said with a smile.
"For your protection" Otis added.
Shadow looked at them and then at Kimmi "Feathers?"

Kimmi smiled brightly at Shadow. "They are friends." She sent Fillup a frown for referring to Shadow as a thing. When Milo and Otis informed her they were coming with her for 'her' protection she had rolled her eyes then burst out laughing at Shadow's comment. "Yes defiantly feathers. It means they are chickens. They wanna come with us for their own protection." She informed him as she stuck her tongue out at the boys. "Come on Shadow lets go help clear out the base so you can meet the children. They are going to adore you!"

Shadow purred and swished his twin tails, circling Kimmi and the two 'chicken-scouts' "Do job?" he asked, scratching the floor with his two front paws as his four other paws moved him.
Fillup frowned back at Kimmi, cocking his 12-gauge "Alrigh' move it out!" he said, motioning to the doors that led to the elevators. Good thing Sarg rememberd the layout... he thought as he kicked a pile of rubble away from the doors.

"Yes. Clearing the zombies out of the base is our job." She said as she moved with the chickens and a couple gunners who actually were coming along for her protection. "We need to clear the rooms one by one and make sure there are no zombies left to hurt anyone. Got it?" She said to Shadow as they came upon the first room.

Shadow nodded and slipped into the shadows of the wall for a moment, climbing up the short distance to the ceiling. A vent led into the room, the mesh already torn and bent "Empty.." he said, growling as he walked upside down before the smal party.
Milo muttered something about having a cat hanging from the ceiling, Otis agreeing heartliy, but not loud enough for Kimmi to hear.
Fillup pulled open the door, then looked down into the elevator shaft "Well, the buttons definitely don't work..." he said, seeing the broken cable swinging in front of him "Looks like we'll have to rapple down kids" he smiled over his shoulder and looked around the room for some rope.

Khana pushed the button on her mic again, "Helloo~ooo??? anyone?" she called into it irritably. Then she said to Zack, "Yeah, well I've shot at people for many of reasons too" with a note of humor in her voice.

Zack shrugged. "it happens i guess" he said. he then sat down and went into a meditative position. "I guess they dont need out help, so im going to meditate for a bit and try to recharge." he said.

"We're in the base Khana. We are doing a bit of clean up, we should be ok if you wanna take a nap." Basically Kimmi was telling her to sleep off her hang over. Kimmi reached up and scratched Shadow's ears. "Great job Shadow!" She and the gunners moved on down the hall checking rooms as they went.

"Eh whatever.." Khana muttered into the mic but then went to find a place to sleep just as she suggested. She could go after them, which was tempting, but she really didn't feel like it right now... and she figured she would have plenty of interesting work to do in only a few days, when they finally left for the mission anyway...
She found an empty truck and stole a blanket to lay on and climbed into the back where she curled up and fell asleep again shortly, forgetting that she still had the head set on.

After the last batch of zombies, Kay paused and lit another cigarette. Twirling her swords she walked down the hall, taking care of the lone zombie when needed. It seemed that most of them had been hanging in a crowd together when the power had come on and automatically opened most of the doors. Blowing smoke up into the air she turned on her com-link. "Didn't Spidercat say something about more of his kind?" she asked spotting claw marks on the ceiling she passed under.
