Quote: Pausing for a moment, a thoughtful look crossed Thorne's pale, expressive features... and was followed by a faintly sheepish look, a rueful grin being aimed in Ember's direction. "I gotta warn you, though... third floor is the residential floor. It's where most of us live, heh... and Mistress doesn't mind much how cluttered we keep it, as long as it's easy to move around and find people. Thus warned, it's a tad bit of a mess..." ~Ember~
Ember laughs, crossing her arms over her chest and allowing her body to relax a moment in a similar fashion against the metal bars inside the silent thrum of the moving elevator. She grins, cocking her head to one side in mock thoughtfulness, one hand coming up to tap a finger lightly to her lips as she says:
"Well, let's see...freaky slave traders and my crappy studio on thirteenth, not to mention the ex-boss I've managed to, I hope, permanently disfigure who's probably beyond pissed...to living here in what is I'm betting the most amazing messy room ever...I think I can handle it."
She winks playfully at Thorne, "Unless there's something really wierd about your clutter that you're not telling me." One slender eyebrow twitches at her companion, an almost serious look coming over her features, "I'm not gonna have to fend off any inanimate objects am I?"

~…Kali…~ I want a girl with lips like morphine!Nodding, Kali shivered a bit as the nail made it's way down. She understood that Kendal would be busy, but she couldn't deny that she was happy that she'd be open later in the evening. "That sounds...delightful. I'd be happy to accompany you, Kendal," Kali crooned at the saucy feline.

{ - Kendal - }
With a cheshire grin painted upon her face, Kendal laces her fingers into the lucious redheads and tugs her off to the staff changing rooms. They disappear for a good twenty minutes or so. When they emerge, Kendal is fully attired for the night, her piercing stilettos melting into the thigh high stockings that trace up her legs, the lacing matching the teasing reveal in her black daisy dukes. A tight leather vest, zipped up the front, hugs her torso, her chestnut curls bouncing along her shoulders and down her back. The feline is arm in arm with Kali, and the two seem to be murmuring to eachother, with an occasional giggle tossed in giving faint hints as to the wicked nature of their conversation..
As they approach the main bar counter, Kendal catches sight of Moon sitting not too far from them. Twitching her nose faintly, she turns to Kali, a slender hand coming up to the redhead's face. Slipping her fingers into the other woman's hair, the feline leans close to whisper into Kali's ear, "I have to get to work now... come find me after 2-ish. We'll finish this then..." The last word finished off as she brushes her lips against the tender skin of the redhead's neck.

Rikki Tikki Travi ~Freya~Pushing those thoughts aside for the moment, Freya gazes curiously at beyond the glass that Marie is tapping on, taking a step closer. She addresses Marie without looking at her, "So what is it about this one that makes it so...unique?" { - Marie - }
Marie cants her head faintly at the question, a smile forming upon her lips. "Perhaps we should attend to the staff. It will be easier if we catch them before they become too thoroughly involved in their evening duties." Turning away from the display, Marie motions with a hand for Freya to go on ahead of her before following the canine towards the stairs.
"We'll start on the main floor. This story had mostly corporate parties and businessmen attending last night. I very much doubt any of these carney folk could have made their way into a firm."

~Freya~
Freya looks to Marie and pouts, clicking her tongue against her teeth. The kunoichi knew she was right; that checking up on the staff was much more important. That didn't mean Freya wasn't absurdly curious about the contents of the case in front of her.
She turns and nods when Marie motions for her to lead the way downstairs. She listens to Marie's explanation of why they were starting on the bottom floor. She had to laugh internally at the comment Marie made about the circus trying to recruit in a firm. No, that's something my brother would have done. It's a good thing he isn't the brains behind their outfit.
Freya peeks over her shoulder at Marie and asks, "Is the majority of your staff inhuman?" She pauses for a moment and makes a face like she had just offended herself. "Sorry, that was a stupid thing to say. What I meant to ask was if the majority of yours staff has special abilities?"

With a perfectly straight face, Thorne offered a somber nod to their newest "roomie", long years of practice in the club managing... barely, but she did manage... to look perfectly serious as she blithely replied.
"Well, one of the first lessons the Mistress teaches those who have the Gift is how to control their teek tendencies... and we've got some real pervs working here. Wouldn't be the first time I saw someone, not necessarily female, being chased down the hall by the "Mighty Moe"..."
...gawddess, it was getting hard to keep from bursting out in laughter...

Glancing back at the gent he'd just served the drink to, torn for a brief moment between accepting the compliment at face value and responding with his usual "wit", those silvery eyes happened to glance upon the Lady Feline herself, and her red-head companion. A faint smirk crossed those dark lips as a snowy brow arched, surveying the "damages" that were going to be inflicted upon the crowd... before offering a faint nod to Moon, indicating Kendal's direction.
"Speak of the devil, and the groupies arrive... enjoy the drink," that raspy tenor murmured softly, before prowling footsteps took Urban further down the bar, in search of some other patron in need of some tender abusing...

~Moon~
The moment the dark elven bartender informed him of her, Moon inhaled through his nose. Being a werewolf comes with many great advantages. One of them was a superior sense of smell. If he focused on it he could smell his "prey" from nearly 2 miles away. Of course he rarely does so. Moon found a way to tune down his sense of smell to the level of a normal human. In a city as big and interesting as New Berlin, having a lesser sense of smell is actually more useful. The werewolf would otherwise go crazy due to the mixture of different aroma's.
Kendal's scent was something that just stayed with him. Something he would always be able to identify. He never asked just what it was that she wore or if it was in fact her own scent. Whatever the case was...his nose could not be fooled. He could smell pheromones.
When he familiarized himself with Kendal's scent once more he downed his glass. A shiver ran down his spine. After it passed he just waited for Kendal to come to him.
"Ahh...lovely" He said as he wondered if she wore her usual outfit or something different this time.

Ember's attempt at a devil may care exterior is completely shot to pieces as her jaw drops; her relaxed posture stiffening while her golden eyes shape themselves into comical looking saucers, her mind processing the words she's hearing from her companion.
She can't possibly be serious?!
"You...you're joking right? I mean cause I was...and-" Ember scrunches up her nose, one eyebrow twitching as she ponders, "Wait, what's a Mighty Moe?"
Ember's imagination taunted her with living furniture that swallowed it's occupant, cleaning supplies with strange and frightening...er... attachments...and numerous other bazaar animated creatures chasing her down the halls of The Muse.

Yeah, she couldn't keep it in anymore... laughter began rippling it's way free of Thorne as the elevator door chimed, and slid quietly open, into a hallway that looked like an odd combination of high class hotel/apartments and the slightly mussy appearance of university dorms... well, if the eclectic stuff lying about a university dorm were ever so... hedonistic... in nature. Casually sashaying her way down the hall, Thorne beckoned Ember, motioning for Ember to follow... and began a winding, slightly side-tracking tour through the halls.
"Well, as far as I know, Kendal's the only person here that's actually got one of those monsters," she replied to Ember's question, impishness staining her tone and suppressed giggle rather heavily. "All I'll say about it, though, is this; it's long enough to measure up to any girl's requirements, and it's girth is enough to make a guy squirm in either inadequate embarrassment, or quiver in half-aroused horror... never mind the ridges and nobblies. Kendal terrifies people with that thing."
With an evil wink, Thorne continued down the hallways, murmuring quiet comments about that person works here, those girls can help you with that... until they finally come to a door, which she slides open a small panel at the side, and starts deftly typing in a sequence of various symbols... and definitely not going into the topic of testing for any Gifts Ember might have... something every denizen of the Muse went through.

At Thorne's sudden explosion of musical laughter Ember feels her cheeks flare crimson and her body heat rise in a moment of total embarrassment.
I should have a sign posted on my forehead that says, 'Hi I'm Ember, the most gullible girl in the universe, can I take your order?' she mentally grumbled to herself.
She tries to shake it off as she follows her giggling companion through the winding hallways, her gaze resting a bit longer then intended on one or two future coworkers she definitely wouldn't mind getting to know on a more personal basis. She smiles, giving a wave here, a playful wink there and tries to memorize whom she should ask for what and make some sense in her head where they originally came from. Ember's eyebrows shoot practically to her hairline as she listens with an expression of awe and terror to Thorne's description of Kendal's little toy...ok, 'little' might not be the best word for that thing...She makes a mental note to steer clear of the tricksy feline if she ever thought she may be armed with such a device. When they reach the door with the funny little panel, Ember can't help but peek over Thorne's delicate shoulder at the strange symbols on the touch screen. She grins guiltily and takes a tiny step back, not wanting to crowd Thorne, but at the same time insatiably curious.
"So uh...what's that thingy do?" She asks as casually as possible, meanwhile internally restraining her feet from taking her a few steps closer to get a better look. Ember loved tinkering with things, it was a secret whim she indulged herself in more then she really should. She took great joy in taking something mechanical apart just to see how the thing worked and putting it back together.
Maybe I should have been a mechanic...? She muses, her eyes still watching Thorne's deft fingers input the interesting data into the tiny screen.

Glancing over her shoulder, Thorne offered a warm smile as she entered the last few keystrokes. At the tap of the "Confirm" key, a faint, but clearly audible ¤click!¤ sounded from the door, which Thorne then smoothly opened, motioning for Ember to precede her into the semi-dark interior.
"Oh, the security systems here seal down any room that isn't actually being used, to prevent it from picking up lurkers, squatters, or wandering folks planting stuff inside... and Mistress saw no reason to change the default in the residential areas," she replied, offering a faint shrug. "Keeps the rooms we're not using more or less clean, I suppose... just requires one helluva re-activation sequence to get the room to open up again."

Ember returns the smile, her warm eyes sparkling with curiosity as she follows her companion closely into the dimly lit room. She squints, trying to make shapes from the melting shadows as her eyes adjust to the low lighting.
She turns her head towards Thorne, a scarlet brow arched in her direction while a tiny smile tugs at the corner of Ember's mouth as she murmurs, "And I bet you guys have one hell of a security system here, hm?"
Ember takes a hesitant step further into the room, careful not to bump into anything, her gracious hostess included, as she surveys the unfamiliar space.
Even if this place looks like a storage shed, I could be happy here. I could...She brushes the thought aside, turning her full attention back to Thorne.

{ - Kendal - }
The fingers laced in Kali's hair squeezes slightly before releasing her, the feline slowly slithering away. This was really the only hard part about her job... remembering that duty comes before momentary pleasures. Kendal could still remember her early days under the Mistress's hand, and how her wandering attention and spontaneous nature got her in a fair amount of trouble. Over time she had come to learn the usefulness of occasionally applying some moderation to her nature habits.. guided by the firm and delicious hand of the Lady of course.
Purring from the delightful memory, Kendal slides in beside Moon. "Hey there handsome," she greets the beastly gentleman with a smile. Motioning to Urban, she then half turns to face the wolf, leaning against an arm that she rests upon the counter. "You got here fast."
