Nerdio had found some ruins half buried in sand. He was searching it for any Chaos Emeralds.
(dont worry, I will eventually explain why he is looking for them, but not yet)

Nerdio walked into a big chamber, the hallway leading there had been almost completely filled with sand, but there wasn't a single grain of it in the chamber. He saw an altar at the far end of the room, the silver Chaos Emerald and the green Chaos Emerald on the pedestal. I cant believe my luck! he thought, walking to the altar and reaching for the emeralds...

(its not really silver, all the Chaos Emeralds are different colors, the 'silver' one is more of a whitish-grey, but I call it silver to save typing time)
As soon as Nerdio grabbed the two emeralds, the door to the chamber slammed closed and about a dozen monsters appeared.

Nerdio was fighting the monsters, using the Spin Dash and Homing Attack at the best of his ability, but everytime he would take several down, the others would scream and they would get back up.
(NO, no matter how much it sounds like it, these are NOT the monsters from Twilight Princess)
