"As soon as we're ready, near the library. The dorms and cafe are a little too busy for first timers." He said, calmly looking at the clock. "We got plenty of time. Unless they put training as soon as we finished supper." Huilliames lazy southern drawl echoed out nice and slow as he pulled out his sketch book. He hastily scribbled out a picture of a large, laidback lion on a surfboard. He thought it suited Lites appearence.

"Yea, I'll come." Aki said when questioned, having been just listening and looking between the two. They started talking about the geckos, reminding her of the ones earlier who looked like they wanted to murder her in her sleep. She wouldn't be surprised if they did. She shifted her weight to her other foot, supressing a moan at the Headmistress's news of a dance. She still remembered the one she'd been forced to go to. Hot and stuffy and every person imaginable crammed into a little space with all the annoying rap and hip-hop music and no food or way to escape.

"A dance? je deteste." He said, leading the group to his room in the multis. He dropped off his bag and pulled out his own skates, a board and a pair of blades. His posters hung above his bed like banners, proclaiming his musical alleigances. Slipknot and Pantera were there, echoes of a long gone age, next to modern bands such as Towering Flesh and Ravens Tower. His Escherbox hummed on standby while he dropped his bag. "Think they'll let us go to the mainland at weekends?" he said, turning down his rooms thermostat.

Having followed Huilliame to his dorm room, it wasn't too far away from his own, he thought to himself. "Hey, nice room, you said Matt was with you in here? Looks like it." He murmured allowed as he took a gander at Matt's side of the room. "I'll be back in a couple seconds," he warned the two. He ran down the hall to his own room and quickly took off his shirt to reveal a skinny tattooed torso. Lite frantically searched the room for a shirt more suitable for wear rather than a shirt made of belts. He also took the amount of time he had to quickly braid his hair, making the air around it braid it for him while he picked up his skully ear phones. Team meetings, that would take some time. He finished and returned to the others in time to hear Huilliame ask if they would go to the mainland on weekends. "Not that I know of. Last year we didn't. I'm sure the clubs and such will boom up by the end of the week, but unless they've done made some changes in policy, weekends to the mainland are nonexistent. Who gets which?" Lite had locked his eyes on the board and skates.

Huilliame had passed Aki a note in the short period Lite was changing. It had a request to meet up tonight after team meetings at the forest. Once the Italian had got back he shrugged off the no mainland thing. "Y'all can pick whichever you think you'll handle better. Boards easier for beginners."

Aki glanced at it, eyes flickering up to him as she slipped it into her pocket. She smiled faintly, nodding then looking back to the door as Lite came back. "Which ever you want then. I'll take either." she said, shrugging. She was somewhat dissapointed about the 'no mainland' part, it'd get kinda annoying to be stuck on the island for a year.

Alwyn nodded her head at same when the announcement went over the loud speaker. "I wonder if they will let me go to that?" She said feeling better. she put her books into her bag and sat back waiting. "Romances sound good, ive never really been partial to them i perfer fantasy but i do enjoy when they are put together you know." she said with a small laugh

Strolling downstairs, Huilliame whistled. He really had wanted to get off the island sometimes. Still, he reasoned that while he was here he may as well make the best. At the outside steps he strapped on his skates and started to roll around as a warm up, grinding over a low barrier in front of the lawn.

Sam grinned. "I don't see why they wouldn't let you go," he replied. "The headmistress would not have any of her students miss out on such a gathering." The boy ruffled Alwyn's hair again. "And if you don't find anyone to go to the dance with, I will be more than happy to accompany you. Now, then, shall we head to the Team meeting?"

As Marie listened to the annoucement, a smile was slowly forming. "A dance?! Eee!" Marie said with pure delight in her voice. Of course she was quite the classical dancer, but she was quite withthe times when it came to hip-hop dancing. "Oh, this is so great! What a wonderful way for people to get to know one another!"
"It won't be five for another two hours," Marie said while looking a large clock over the librarian's desk. As her eyes turned back towards her pupils did a bit of a double take when she noticed Sergey. She sighed inwardly the millisecond she looked at him and continued with Arkell. "Wanna explore the campus or get something to drink?"
Marie wanted to continue to talk to Arkell... but she also hoped to see Logan since he was her teammate. Marie wasn't sure where her teammate was....

Curving back round, he laughed at his students. "Come one, I know you arent exactly proffesionals or anything but a little faster than this. You go any slower and it'll be five o clock before we know it." He had changed to the traditional racing stripes used by men on the idealogical basis that it makes things go faster. He knew they didnt, but he wanted to emphasise a point.

(( Okay, just so everybody knows, each class is only 45 minutes long and they start at about 8:30, so we end up getting out at around 3 biggrin ))
"A Dance!?" Arkell exclaimed at the same time Marie did, but her's was not one of happiness but of pure terror. "Oh no, oh no, oh no...." she groaned, her body starting to shake just thinking about being in a crowded place and people staring at her because she was dancing funny or something. She blinked over at Marie and her exuberance over such a thing and sighed her shoulders slumping. "Yeah, maybe we're run into Tess or something, he still has to make up for runnin off on me during lunch." and with that her spirits were back up and she giggled heading out the door.
Sergey let out a similar groan to Arkell but not for the same manners. He could stand being in the crowd and everything, but he couldn't dance, not with these bird legs. He also probably wouldn't have anybody on his arm or anything unless Tess wanted to go with him, but that was probably a no. He tried to imagine Tess dancing and couldn't help but chuckle as he turned back to his homework, looking at Marie out of the corner of his eyes as she aught sight of him and he quickly turned his head away.

Lunch was soon over for Kazuko, and she wandered around searching for her first class of the day. It didn't take too much searching- the map she had was accurate, and she was following behind other students who also had English 3.
It wasn't particularly her favorite class; English, as a language in general, was not always precise. However, the first day was spent doing nothing much at all, other than getting assigned work that would help the teacher gauge their writing level. Homework, already...
Next was arguably her most favorite class of the day; PE. There weren't as many people in this PE class as she thought there would be; many had taken it earlier in the day than others, so they could change before lunch. Plus someone was absent from class. Kazuko at first was very upset that someone would dare to skip on the first day of classes, but then remembered she had missed her morning classes, and then felt a bit guilty for being upset in the first place.
Her trig class was decent. She recognized a face or two from her English class. This class also assigned homework, along with her Japanese class, which she was taking to appease her mom and grandparents, who thought she was getting quite rusty at it. Kazuko more or less agreed, but judging from the current pace of the class, she would have little difficulty with it.
Once the school day was done, Kazuko immediately went to find the teachers for her other three classes, to apologize for missing them and to grab any work she missed. She was hoping to have more free time this evening to complete any missing assignments, but the headmistress' announcement rather squelched those plans.
"A dance?" she thought. "Really? Hm." The girl was not really in the mood to go to any dance. She still felt a bit awkward, especially since her feet were larger now, and the fin down her back... She doubted any fancy dress would fit properly now. Unless it was backless. And even though it was a casual dance, Kazuko couldn't help but picture herself protruding awkwardly out of a ball gown. She smirked.
While she was thinking such thoughts, Kazuko accidentally had wandered into the library. Suddenly, she realized that this was not where the chemistry teacher would be. And even worse, she had misplaced her trusty map. "It was probably still sitting in the Japanese classroom," she thought glumly.
She looked around for someone suitable to ask. There were two girls having a conversation, and Kazuko didn't really feel like interrupting. However, there was an older looking student (who had feathers for hair, her inner self noted) studying. He would probably know where the chemistry room was.
Kazuko walked up to the bird-like student. "Excuse me- do you know where the Chemistry room is?" she asked, giving a slight bow as an apology for her intrusion.

Elaina managed to slump through the rest of her classes: After lunch she had Comedy and Satire. She sat near the back and did the reading, but didn't really find too much particularly funny. It's the first day, perhaps it'll improve. she told herself.
Following that was Arabic. This was a class she looked forward to a lot. She was pretty good at learning languages, and looked forward to the challenge offered by Arabic.
Trig followed her language class and she spent a good amount of time applying the Pythagorean theorem and messing about in general with protractors. Her mind worked very visually, so trigonometry tended to be easier for her than other kinds of math because it generally involved pictures. It also helped in her mind that most of this was developed by Greek thinkers, her very distant cultural ancestors. She still like to think of it as 'in her blood' though.
She managed to get most of her work done in her study hall and decided to roam the halls once it let out.
The dance announcement had little effect on her at all. She'd gone to dances when she was younger, but too embarrassed and shy to dance, had hung around as a wallflower, never to blossom. She shrugged, maybe as a senior it'd be different. She was thinking this just as she walked past the library and heard two people at once nearly shout "A DANCE?!" one voice filled with excitement. Elaina winced and continued walking down the hall. Most likely this was definately something not for her.
