*Mastema nods* More than likely yes. However, the Heart already creates an excess of power as it is. That should be no trouble except for designing the necessary protocol. Also, I am in the middle of Zio's expansion. Once that is complete, I will be able to implement more plans that will vastly improve the citadel's defensive capacity. All of these plans I have put into place to further insure the protection of you, the children, and any other of my affiliates who reside here...

Yes, that brings up the demon.

*Nana need not say anymore than that. Orias had even admitted his indisgressions against Nana, perhaps a little to boldly to Mastema. It did nothing to change her view, and he'd have a long road ahead of him if he was going to try and change it. All of the teachings were still fresh in Nana's mind, even if she was now a fallen one. It would take time to get over, if she ever did. Only time, and experience would probably change her mind. Certain events that not even she could comprehend, but all of that was mere uncertaintly, or was it? There was one who knew of certain events, though telling the members of the BC about them could change the outcome, maybe. The only person who might know for sure, was Gatia*

Indeed. I will tell you now that I did not simply accept him into the citadel on a moments notice. I have been observing the man for weeks now. He has abilities and skills that could prove useful in the event of a battle taking place in the citadel. In observing him I do not believe he will make any "intentional" problems in the citadel. True, I will say that his.... introduction to you could have been smoother. *In the entire explanation, not once did Mastema bring up the fact that Orias was a demon*

*Nana would have to back down on the matter, as it was Mastema's choice to let Orias into the citadel, but that didn't stop her from voicing her concernes, opinions, and continued belief of how horrid demons were*

--_--

So you've been observing him... can you then tell me why he is so insistant on gainning knowledge of my name, and who I am? He has already learned of Eecheb's name by whatever means, and perhaps he even knows more than that. What influences might he press toward the children? You know as well as I that demons and angels have bad history, and have had my own experiences with demons aswell. They have done nothing to sway my judgement, nore has he.

It is the duty of any living being to be curious as to something that pertains to them, Nana. When Xol Solaris first attacked the citadel, you asked me of his name, so that you would know the name of the one who threatened us. Similarly, Orias is now a warrior of this citadel..... it is only natural for him to wish to know of the other inhabitants of this place. I suspect that he was so... "rash" with you because of your angelic nature, just the same as you are with him. The only influences he will have in this citadel are those that I deem appropriate. Slayer is a vampire.... in a sense, a demon. Yet I have not seen you bare any ill meaning towards him. *He paused for a moment* Forgive me.... I am not accusing your values or morals, Nana. I am merely pointing out how they differ from what I have come to know. Of course I am well aware of the discrepency between demons and angels. However, I have learned to place less importance upon race. Besides, I have been witness to angels committing far greater atrocities than any demon I have ever known.

*Again, Nana was still looking in part from a protective stance. Her own life being at stake if anyone were to alert heaven of her survival, and that of her children if they were in any way connected to both Nana and Mastema. After all Mastema had many enemies, if word got out about these new children then they too were at risk, and Orias would soon enough come to see them all. It was more than simply a question of race, it was survival*

--_--

...and if one day he is not? He could bring word of my existance elsewhere, and that of our children. Also, what of tose influences that I deem appropriate?

*Nana's wings still had not buddged, nor had her hands moved a muscle. It almost seemed as if Nana was.... detached from her emotions. Her eyes also remained closed shut while she spoke and received her answers. She doesn't even flinch at news of Slayer being so similar to the creature outside*

--_--

Vampires are like demons? I was not aware.

*Orias had trapped Nana within a circle of ice upon their first meeting. Slayer had appeared out of nowhere and had spooked Nana upon their first meeting. In a way it could be deemed similar, but Nana knew next to nothing about vampires, where as demons she was trainned somewhat. Would Nana's stance on even Slayer change now, even though he had preformed the marriage between herself and Mastema?*

If Orias leaves my service under good terms, I doubt he would be so foolish as to do such a thing. He knows full well that I will not tolerate that sort of betrayal against my wife, my children, or my closest allies. If he should leave under less than good circumstances... then I will use the full force of my telepathy or my other abilities to insure his secrecy of the matter. They are your children as well as mine..... however, given your.... "experience," I would think that you would rather I be in more contact with him than you. *He nodded* vampires are in a way demons..... requiring blood of other creatures to sustain themselves for long. Regardless.... Slayer has known me almost my entire life. Nana....forgive me if I seem unreasonable, however I believe Gabriel already well knows you are somewhere in this region..... what of him? He is a more liable danger than any of my allies

*Nana continued weighing each sentance, each statement, and word. Still she showed no obvious signs of distate, anger, pleasure, joy, much of anything for that matter. One could say that she and Micha had more in common than just blood, the only difference being that Nana was at the very least.... speaking*

--_--

It would be prefurable.

*So, now Nana knew of Slayer's need for blood. More than likely he got his blood from the the cafeteria right? Afterall there was meat, and before it gets cooked there is still a source of blood. Then there was the forest, it held animals that Slayer might also feed off of right? Having not taken any steps of ill will toward her as of yet, Nana could at least assume that much. Still, vampires being like demons. It reminded her of the encounter with Himaru Tyrsias, that she had several months before. He too was a vampire, and like Orias was a little more.... rash upon their first meeting*

--_--

Yes... Gabriel is also a problem. What worries me more, is how close he is now. Knowing that I am alive, and having connected the dots, there is no doubt in my mind that he will send someone to find me and kill me.

*Nana was refuring to "the precious", a group that she knew would be sent for her. Exstensively, Nana researched them before meeting Mastema. Twilight had seen Nana reading over a book which contained mention of them, when they had first met*

*Mastema knew she was being objective because she was upset and, more so, worried* Nana... *Mastema raises hand and gently places his palm against Nana's cheek. Nana could reject the gesture if she so wished* I understand that all that has happened recently has left you feeling that your home and family is threatened. I gave you my word, however much that may be worth now, that as long as you wished me to that I would protect you. I understand, also, that I have failed to uphold your confidence in those words. Unfortunately they are all I have to offer.... and thus I hold to my declaration to keep you, and the children, safe. Question my reasoning to your liking.... but you may rest assured about my resolve
PostPosted: Thu May 26, 2005 11:36 pm

*Nana would do nothing to have Mastema's hand removed, letting it rest there for as long as Mastema would wish. Whether or not it was accepted was up in the air. As for Mastema's resolve, that too was up in the air*

--_--

Then please my husband, hold true to those words.

*Nana was not finished yet, there was still more to talk about. Both well to do, and perhaps lightly contervercial. As soon as this topic was over then she would move to the next*

*Mastema leaves his hand where it is* I hold as true to this resolve as I hold to my wedding vows. *His hand does no leave her cheek* With me, you will be safe.... now and forever. *During the entire conversation, Mastema's eyes had not strayed anywhere from Nana, and they didn't now*
PostPosted: Thu May 26, 2005 11:59 pm

*Perhaps Nana was satisfied with the response, as finally she moves on*

--_--

Very well, on to my next question. You remember well the second night of our honeymoon yes?

*Where Nana was going with this, was still somewhat unclear*

*Mastema nodded, finally taking his hand back slowly* I could never forget. The entire trip is still a memory vivid in my mind. *His hands rested lightly at his sides*
PostPosted: Fri May 27, 2005 12:13 am

*If anything, at least Nana was being stick-tuitive to each subject*

--_--

...again, the second night. You used symbol derived magic to create the small fire that night. Can I assume from that, there is a wide array of symbol driven magics that you are knowledgeable of?

*Still where Nana was going with her current line of questioning was, still the unknown*

More than I could ever name or number. *He tilted his head slightly* You require the use of some sort of magic?
