"People are so stupid." Lily muttered, shaking her head in near disgust as she continued to watch. Numerous scenes from both Cerridwyn's memory and Vincent's filled her head, scenes that featured the same drama being played out many different times. She sighed then, leaning against the bar counter, looking wearier than her sixteen-year-old visage should allow.

"and now to our live on the sight reporter, Carl... who is in the town of Sorton, near the Allince Naval Station located there, where a fire fight has recently broken out... you there carl?"
"yes i'm here, as you can see, we're hunkered down between two cars, trying to avoid the gunfire as we report..." *sounds of gunfire and effector fire filled the background and two civilians carrying rifles of somekind rushed through the background, firing as they went* "as you can see the fighting is steadily growing uglier, as the citizens of sorton make it known how badly that they wish the alliance to leave... " *there was an explosion nearby and the am went dark, then back to the woman*
"as you can see, the fighting continues to worsen, without little hope of it stopping.."

Ukaai nodded
"i'm feeling much betteR" she said happly tand then mid way bbounding down the stairs she really understood what was being said in the sounds.. of gun shots. She froze tirpped and fell down the last few stairs. Only to scramble and hide under the nearest table her eys wide and terrafied
Positive the sounds were being emmited from inside the room

Noting the neko's reaction, Lily quickly reached out and turned off the panel, then gave her a reassuring smile. "It's okay... we're safe here." For the time being, she added silently, wondering how long that would last. The Muffin was known to house alliance soldiers... sighing again, Lily turned to Ukaia and smiled once more. "Don't worry about it, okay?"

Arlen smiled at the mention of Ukaia getting better. Upon hearing the gunshots from the comm panel he rushed down the stairs thinking that fighting had broken out outside the inn. "What's going on?" he asked when he saw Lily sitting calmly if looking a bit frustrated.

Ukaai looked around.. then timidly crawled out from under the table
"Wh.. where did the mob sounds go?" she asked
"It's not bad.. i don't smell it.. " she said then shivered a bit. Not realizing her fur was all puffed out so her ears looked like little fluffballs and her tail about 3 times bigger then normal

Lily shrugged, though underneath her rumpled but calm exterior she looked rather sorrowful. "Just listening to the news... lots of riots lately. Don't worry, Uka. The fighting is happening far from here. How did you two sleep?" she asked, wanting to change the subject.

"Glad to hear it." Lily told him mock-cheerfully, refraining from asking where he'd ended up. "Always nice to get a good night's sleep." Then she slipped from her stool and grabbed her book. "I'm going to take a shower." she announced, then ran up the stairs.

Still examining himself in the mirror, Tomo reached up and pulled on one of his ears. They were fuzzy and extremely cute and on this particular day, he hated them. This only made him mad, causing his ears to fold back. "Aahg! Stop that!" He told them. "Why do you have to tell everyone what I'm feeling, huh?" he reached up and gritted his teeth as he messed up his hair. He looked back in the mirror and made every face he could think that would reduce the cute factor. "I know! I will eat my way out of cuteness!" He announced to the mirror, expression bright. He paused to think for a few minutes, then shook his head after envisioning the massive blob he would become, "Then I'll be cute and disgusting..." He muttered, scratching his head. Weight lifting was out of the question with the way the baby was growing. He scowled and scrunched his nose as he let out a growl. "Oh, even that's cute!" He cried, gently kicking the mirror with his bare foot.
