[Davien] Zero_Omega Clavi [Davien] can you guys help me out? my friend is being a dumbass and not eating again... Can't help there, I eat all the time Yeah and even though my sister is a recovering anorexic and bulimic, yes one then the other, I really can't help you because I don't know what woudl set a boy off to be anorexic and so I can't help from the root of the problem. i never said my friend was a dude...she's a chick... Oh sorry, I thought it said he. Alright well since this isn't the first time this happened you can't shake her out of it. Girls are pressured most by their peers either by envy of them or by disgust for herself from their point fo veiw in her mind. And also what she sees on TV and what's the *ahem* view of "perfect beauty". She needs to get help, ASAP and bad. Very very VERY rarly are people, but girls in general, able to fix themselves of a eating disorder without some kind of intervention outside of the family and friend circle.

she's gone to the doctor, she's taken the damn meds, she goes to a shrink, she's done everything that is possible (for her eating disorder>.>) and no one knows what else to do....and ali, that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard...even from you...and that didn't work either...

[Davien] she's gone to the doctor, she's taken the damn meds, she goes to a shrink, she's done everything that is possible (for her eating disorder>.>) and no one knows what else to do....and ali, that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard...even from you...and that didn't work either... Then at the risk of sounding like a d**k I'm gonna say this; Either A) Her doctor is a quack, B) She has problems other then Anorexia if she was, and she still should be on, meds. C) I doubt she's done everything possible. D) Her shrink most likely doesn't help because 1 on 1 with shrinks are very ineffective for eating disorder circles, she needs a group therapy and E) If all else fails it could be for attention to something even deeper and darker.

And I had a mental break down in 4th grade and went to group. I really think that it is the best way. 1 on 1 doesn't help that much in a lot of circumstances

Searching for images of anorexic people and then SHOWING them to an anorexic person is about the stupidest thing to do. It's as ineffective as rubbing a dog's nose in the spot they peed at in your house. Not to mention that people who are anorexic who see other people who are anorexic may try to either mimic or do "better" (as in be even more underweight) than those they see in the images.
