Aww, how positively precious~ a kitty theme! Ze little one is currently lounging on his royal throne as we speak, basking in the brilliant sunlight and snoozing the day away. Happy- happy birthday to you, Morgana! And everyone knows who really rules the world.
cat_3nodding ( mean ol' smilie.. why you no work? ) KFC and any of the other meats for that matter are fair game, according to my li'l one. And he gets so mad at me, whenever I say no.
What's this about being the best man? That's really great! Congratulations on receiving such an honor, Exxos.
I've been in several weddings, with the more traditional role of maid of honor. Much to my surprise, one of my friends has declared that I am his dearest friend and asked that I be his best woman. ( and yes, you know darn well that I'll be wearing a suit.. tailored to show off my tiny waist, of course. )
Let's see if the bride- to- be agrees to any of this.. I think not, but people have been known to surprise me from time to time.

also, i was a flowergirl once at my uncle's wedding. but that's it. none of my close friends have gotten married since i became an adult. other people i went to high school with, sure. i haven't even been invited to any of those, i just see the pictures on facebook.

He did not even eat any. He was so excited about the activity, I think he forgot the end goal of his kitty plan. Sindeira What's this about being the best man? That's really great! Congratulations on receiving such an honor, Exxos. Apparently I was the first and third choice. He initially decided against it because of how horrible I am at this Humanity nonsense. Then option two could not make the wedding at all. So I got back in the position. I am sure he will regret the decision no matter how hard I try, but if I ruin his wedding, I can not feel as guilty because he should have known better. I am to be fitted for a tuxedo and I have been made to get real shoes and proper clothing for preparatory stages before the wedding as he has to have me seen by others and is ashamed of me in my birkenstocks. razz But yes, a woman in a tailored suit as best woman is a novel concept that I appreciate.

This is so cute and very kitty- ish behavior. I suppose it's sort of like gift- giving. All of us want to know what's inside the presents, while our felines are merely interested in the packaging. Simple pleasures for simple minds, you know.
I trust that you'll do just fine, if you calmly and collectively take the time to write out your toast for the reception. ( yes- yes, you're expected to actually speak.. in public. remember to breathe now. ) Your skilled use of the English vernacular is quite pretty- ful, c; so go on and write something that's tasteful and elegant for the happy couple.
As for the wedding's attire, this is normal procedure. Fortunately, it's unlikely that you'll be forced to wear a tuxedo that's embarrassing in any way. As for wearing your Birkenstocks in a chapel, garden or wherever the ceremony might be, would you really wear those shoes, if you could? You can't do that to them on their wedding day.
Think only of their happiness because this is their special day and they've asked for you to be a part of it.

Not on their wedding day, no. But strip club scouting for a bachelor party? Running errands? It's enough that (since not wearing comfortable shoes cuts my ability to resist caving to my anxieties by about 60%) I can feel a little off about it. It's the "I don't want to risk any of my local friends seeing you normally as it would reflect on me poorly, so you have to dress in a way I am not ashamed of" part that hurts and why I mentioned it. It's all part of how much I care for them that I went out and got "proper" shoes. I also got black formal shoes to wear with the tuxedo. Sindeira Think only of their happiness because this is their special day and they've asked for you to be a part of it. That's what I am trying to do.
