*Makes reference to her ferret fursona "Nova" for story a friend is writing* 8D
"Nova"

Nobody knows her real name. When she's asked, she begins to start the sentence but always gets sidetracked and bounds off at the mere sight, scent, or sound of something/anything that intrigues her simple curiosity (*Oh, my name is...OOOO! Lizards!*). So everyone in the school just calls her Nova for the fact that her thought patterns can explode like one in an instance, a fitting name really.
She's got an amazingly lean and muscular body and is part of the track and field team. Like normal small ferrets, she has a soft coat that covers her entire body; the pattern consists of white and black segments on her arms, torso, and legs. She also harbors the typical "bandit mask" marking across her eyes. Her tail is all black with a white tip and a bit fluffier than normal, especially when she's excited. Not to mention her eyes are a deep raspberry coloration, fairly rare among her species.
She's one of the only excepted ferret/human hybrids in the region. The fact that a man in high standings with the majority of the known plane adopted her, she has always been seen as a domestic citizen. His actual name is also unknown due to classified content, but EVERYONE knows of the man's astounding scientific achievements in alchemy and technology; they simply refer to the man as "Dr. Lifestream."
Nova was really more of a test subject than a daughter, but he still treated her with a method of compassion and caring that only the two of them understood and accepted. He did insist that she call him "Dad" though.
Despite her spastic nature, she's incredibly intelligent and does well on her class work, when she can concentrate on the topic for more than 5 seconds. If the assignment interests her, you can expect an abundance of extra work that can consist of a few paragraphs to almost a complete set of encyclopedia of her opinions and theories related to the topic. Luckily for the Doc, she found a HUGE interest in alchemy and became his lab assistant and problem-solver for many of his experiments. But when the notion of school was introduced to her by a mere accident form a co-worker, she pleaded for the doctor to allow her to experience a life in the outside world with other living beings, away from her confinement at his research facility. After many annoying weeks of her pleading and bouncing around him like a cat on catnip, he broke down and allowed her to have her wish; he also feared he might have strangled her if he had to endure her persistence any longer.
So there you have it, a ball of almost endless energy in a huge school of MANY curious experiences, sights, sounds, ect. But when the energy runs out, you would swear to the Gods the she was actually dead with her HEAVY sleeping. Just make sure her heart's still beating if you are in doubt. Though she may seem simple and innocent, she has a whole world of trauma and grief hidden away in her skull. Good thing she's never in any other mood but hyper to have time to reflect on the past; though it does catch up with her in her dreams and is the only thing that can stir her when sleeping.
