Well, you could base your character loosely on an existing character if it helps you to settle things like appearance and personality and such, so long as the character fits pretty well into the setting.
For instance, taking Legolas and changing his name would work. But using Hello Kitty would not work. XD
And magic can be anything-based so long as it's not overpowered beyond reason. Merro has healing magic and she's carrying around a life-force sucking sword, Alex summons golems, Letalus IS a golem. XD

*twiddles fingers together and smiles evilly* XD Thankies. I feel bad for Jack but at the same time it goes for an awesome storyline.
I'd like to read up on what others have posted before though just to get an idea.
Although I'm reading your guys' posts now so...^_^ Hopefully that'll help a bit.

Eleka nahmen nahmen a tum a tum eleka nahmen...I'm sure there's a couple of characters that I already have that could fit in this rp...I just have to dig out my list. XD **has tons of RP characters** XD;; Maybe an altered version of Demyxene would work... o______o;; The only thing that would have to stay the same about her is that she has a small dragon for a pet/companion. o_______o;; Eleka nahmen nahmen a tum a tum eleka nahmen...

Aw she's adorable. ^_^
I'd have to make an edit of my character too...always do for RPs. ^_^ Or dress my avi like them.
*overlooking my castle in Sims, which is supposed to reflect the castle my character owns in my stories* Yeah that made no sense for the party room to be RIGHT next to the infirmary. Now it's a room full of plants...which makes a LOT more sense in the stories because they could be like herbs or something.

I've been trying out different wigs for a Letalus edit, myself. There are a surprising lack of male wigs in the shop!
Taylor: Gosh, I haven't played Sims in forever. I'm guessing you're playing Sims 2?

Or maybe I could make a character based off stuff in the shop. ^_^ I'm not in an editing mood lately...
Man...I just still can't figure out what I want for a character...
Yeah I'm playing Sims2. ^_^ I love that you can change colors of items you put in your house..VERY convenient.
The tiles I have in my library make it look like it's underwater. ^_^
