Luciano looked up from the paper work on his desk, and he heard Nari's voice on the other side of the door. Luciano took his glasses off and replied to Nari, "Send them in." Despite everything that was going on in his head, Luciano knew that the world wouldn't stop just because he had lost Michelle. So, he went on with his life the best that he could, and now he was waiting for Nari to bring in the guest.

"Come on. In you go," she briskly ushered in the stranger after opening Luciano's door. Normally she would have introduced the visitor to her boss upon entering, but seeing that he revealed nothing about himself, she closed the door behind her and stood quietly with her arms crossed over her chest. And so, she waited expectantly for the two men to begin their conversation.

Valindreth moved into the room and approached the desk. He stopped about four feet away from the desk and stood there, straight and tall. His black and purple leather armor fit tightly around his tall, lean form. His face was lacking any obvious expression, but he was focused intently on the man in front of him. "My name is Valindreth, and I wish to join your organization."

(( XD Office, Babe! Sorry for the confusion! )) Luciano stood up from his chair and extended his hand to the gentleman who had just entered his office, "Luciano. Luciano Ag-" Luciano forgot for a moment that the timeline had changed, and in this one he went by Brozen. So he corrected himself, "Luciano Brozen. I'm very pleased to meet you. Have a seat." He said, and then sat back down in his chair. Luciano closed the folders he had opened, and set them aside in an organized pile. And then he set aside the paperwork. He folded his hands on his desk and he said to Valindreth, "Tell me a little more about yourself."

( Had a busy weekend.)
Valindreth stepped forward and firmly grasped Luciano's hand, giving it a firm shake before stepping back to his previous position. "I have chosen to not directly involve myself in the various feuds and dealings of our race. But now it seems recent events have brought us to a turning point. One I intend to be a part of." He glanced behind him to see the girl who let him in was still in the room. After he observed her presence he refocused on Luciano and continued speaking. "I am proficient with a blade and am skilled in all deeds that require a subtle approach."

Luciano nodded understandingly, and he nodded again but with approval at his skills, "That's very good- We don't have too many people like that on the team anymore!- Aside from myself, of course!" Luciano looked over his file and then he asked, "So, did you serve in the military at all? Exactly how did you train?- Or who trained you?"

The first door Koji came to was a storage room and, honestly, he wasn't sure what he was expected. The next door was anorther storage room, and past that was a basic work space. He was starting to feel unimpressed compared to the training room and rec room on the other side of the house. The fourth door was for the library, and he took a little while to browse through some of the books on the shelves. Nothing really caught his eye, but probably just because he was too bored to focus on the titles. The next few doors down the hallway were locked, and he started to feel like he was in a video game, trying to check all the rooms to get the loot inside. I'll have to go around the house and look for keys now! There could be free a level up behind one of these! Finally, at the end of the hall he found the door that led to the garage. He had only been in the garage a couple times, and usually came in through the car entrance, so he hadn't expected it. Unfortunately this still didn't give him anything interesting to do while he waited to be tired enough to go back to sleep, so Koji headed back down the hallway and headed to the training room. It had been ages since he did any serious training due to how busy they had been. The last time he could think of that he had actually practiced using his abilities was well before they had been sent to prison. So now that he was up and the house was free of distractions, he figured he could get in a good session. Besides, what better way to tire himself out than to get a good work out? He set up a few training dummies and uncoiled the thin metal whip from his belt loops to practice his aim.

Twi was fixing up his house with his new array of Gold Medals and the fourth-place ribbon for the olympics. he could hardly believe it -- Durem made last place. it must have been the first time in Gaian history. still, he couldn't help but to smile at that. for all of that effort they still got 4th-place, but it didn't stop Durem from trying harder than they ever had before. not to mention, he had made some new friends both on the team and outside of it. he had been staying in touch with Louie Von Helson alot more as well, since the bombing of H&R Wesley. the rebuild shop was looking very nice now, and he decided it was even better than before. but that was not the end of things. it weighed heavily on his mind what Louie had asked of him the other day; thinking about it again made him gulp. but if what Louie said was true, he had no other choice. he had to put a stop to the Don's activities at once. Twi left his house after he finished redecorating, and went to find Louie again. he was going to give him his answer -- that he would help the Vampire Clans who defected from Kuro Gang affiliation and join the war against them. he knew his treachery to the Dark Elf race would be complete with this decision, but enough was enough. walking the streets at night had become normal for him now. he took the long way to H&R Wesley, stalling himself and admiring the city and the starry sky.

Waffle was hoping to get to sleep early, but instead she came down from the steps wearing a white oversized shirt and a pair of light purple boxers she stole from Sabe.
By the looks of it, nobody was on the ground floor, but that was disproved as she could hear faint noise coming from the left wing of the building as she shuffled toward the kitchen.

Charlotte tried to even out her shallow breaths or at least quiet them. Quickly drying her finger tips on her jeans, she grabbed the hilt with both hands and went back to work. 'This would go so much faster with a credit card...to bad I already used it,' she thought finally feeling the thin blade hit the junction of door and door frame. She gave herself efforts a small smile, which didn't last long as she heard distant shuffle of her not-so-stealthy trackers.
She was tempted to drop the knife so she could turn and fight, but then decided that knife fighting looked better than bare hands (or in her care gloved hands). She rammed the knife into the wedge again when she looked up noticing the light that had been on wasn't anymore. Either they were closer than she had thought or...
"Clever little bloodsuckers aren't they...they brought a caster along," she muttered rolling her eyes before she went back to work. It was barely a second before she heard a soft tick. Holding the knife in place, she grasped the door handle and gently pulled it open. She nearly groaned from the lack of an alarm, but then again the caster would be running magical electrical interference wouldn't they. She was just taking stock of the dark hallway ahead of her when, mostly out of feeling she chanced a glance behind her. She ducked barely missing knife that went wheezing ahead of her into the shadowy hallway. Bolting inside after it, she snatched it up on her way in hoping or possible praying that one of the members had broken habit and had decided to keep normal dark elf waking hours.

Twi's chat with Louie had been full of consternation, if respect. he already had a mission, but it wasn't one he was going to like. he had to break into the headquarters of the Black Ops.
he was selected for this mission because of his former presence there, and iin due fashion he was not asked to harm anyone he cared about there. he appreciated the gesture, and hoped he wouldn't be put in a situation where he should. after all, he promised to take his choice of allegiance seriously.
making his way through the city's sewers, he decided to access the underground entrance. from there, getting to the office where the target list is should be relatively a piece of cake.

The soft clank of a metal object falling in the right wing hallway made Waffle stop and turn around in curiosity. Nobody should have been in there this late at night. Next came the sound of someone picking up the object and several pairs of feet tapping lightly against the tile floor, approaching the lobby. Her eyes went wide. It's a break in, isn't it?
She drew in a quick breath, then shouted as loudly as she could toward the stairs to the upper floor of the building, "We have a break in at the right wing! Get down here now!" She coughed and darted up the stairs to get her orb, repeating what she just shouted, although it was likely that someone else would jump into the fray.

Nariana was just starting to lose interest in the conversation between the newcomer and Luciano when she heard Waffle shouting downstairs. Perking up immediately, she said, "Conversation's over. If you want to show your competence, now may be a good time," directing the last part to Valindreth before slipping out of Luciano's office to her room.
She rushed over to her bed and reached underneath for her spare rod, a three-foot aluminum training rod, used for basic practice-- or emergencies, in this case-- before quietly exiting the room and closing the door. Performing the same leap from the upper balcony she used previously to escape HQ unnoticed, she hid behind the side of the stairs and waited for the perpetrator to approach. Ears twitching, she noticed that there was more than one. This gave her more reason to lurk and wait. 'Come on... Show yourself already,' she thought impatiently as the muscles in her legs tenses and prepared to spring.
(Now's a good time for Charlotts to run on into sight in the lobby with the vampires, so we can clobber 'em!! emotion_dowant )

A hand smashed through the her side table shield forcing Charlotte's knees to brace against it. Using the force of her opponent, she slammed the table further up their arm. Only then toss it and the vampire attached to it aside to block the other ones advancement.
Hallways fighting was not her strength. No way to toss a knife or sneak in a jab when all three of her attacked so close. Flipping back, she dodged blast of flame from the caster. Who had apparently and unfortunately, given up on keeping the electrical interference spell going. Coming to a stop, she realized three things. One that the lack of spell meant that alarms must have triggered. Two she wouldn't be alone for long and three she entered a large room. In fact, it was pretty spacious.
'Sadly that doesn't give me an advantage...not with a bloody cast-' she cut her thoughts dodged another blast. Then narrowly missed getting clawed again. Punching the plasma sucking in the throat, she realized again three things. One footsteps were sounding from above her, two there were two people shout, and three both were shouting for back up. 'Great.'

Eyebrows shooting up in alarm, Nariana assessed the current situation at hand as the intruders made themselves known. 'There are three vampires, one with magical abilities like Waffle. If I make myself known now, I will be outnumbered; however, I could take this chance as an opportunity to eliminate one of them...' And with that final thought, Nariana emerged with fierce speed, leaping from her hiding place and swinging her rod with all of her force into the head of the nearest vampire. A sickening crack resonated, and he immediately fell over, twitching on the ground every so often. Landing in a crouch behind her victim, she said nothing and merely prepared for the next counterattack. Though she neither smiled nor frowned, a strange gleam of excitement could clearly be seen in her eyes if you looked directly at her. The thought of overcoming this "challenge" invigorated her; she had not truly fought in a long time and saw this as the perfect test of her speed.
