Jack replied by shaking his head; "No, it's not okay; I'm a real baby..." he looked at his feet, he hated being himself. Sometimes he wished he was just an entirely different person, different looks, different attitude, different personality, different everything. He wished he had a ton of friends that laughed at everything he said. But no, it was not to be. And it was getting darker and darker; Filch would start to prowl the corridors soon.

"You're not.." She said with a slight frown while watching him. "I used to cry a lot.. I still do sometimes." She looked down at her hands which had been resting in her lap and she fiddled with the gloves that she still had on her hands, pulling at the fingers before letting them go, watching them go back to the way they had been before.

Jack stared at Carmilla; she seemed to be sort of like him. It was kind of nice, to have someone to talk to. But when he stood he was silent; he motioned to the star strewn sky, and then to the door; as if saying "It's getting dark, we should both get back to our common rooms." he smiled weakly, then gently picked up Nyo, said "G' night..." very softly. And walked slowly out the door, he was tired, and Nyo seemed to feel the same now. He purred and licked Jack's hand. Jack, in return, petted Nyo's sleek black fur for a moment, then he disappeared into the darkness of the castle.

Carmilla watched Jack leave with Nyo and she smiled slightly looking up at the sky which was now dark. "Good night." She said softly and stood slowly herself, looking around the room.
It had been nice making a new friend. She hoped to see Jack again sometime. For now though, she would go back to the common room which would be probably busy with the few people that had stayed behind for the winter break just like her.

Jack walked into the great hall. The ceiling was a haze of gray clouds, snow, and sleet flying everywhere. Everything was silent, except for professor Flitwick. He had obviously come down to eat breakfast early; just like Jack. Flitwick, upon seeing Jack, waved happily, Jack waved back smiling slightly. Flitwick was always nice and in a good mood. Jack walked over to the Slytherin table, and pulled up a plate full of toast. Jack picked up a piece of toast and began to spread butter around it. Then he spread strawberry jam on top of the butter. Then he took a bite, ah it was bliss. He hadn’t had food in a while. He had been starving himself, but on accident. Sometimes, without reminds from Nyo, he forgot to eat. It had become something of a second nature to rely on Nyo to tell him to do things. He couldn’t explain it, him and Nyo had some kind of communication. It was like Nyo could read Jack's thoughts and the same for Jack. Jack could sometimes tell that Nyo was annoyed, or that he was feeling a tad depressed. Sometimes it was slightly scary for Jack; knowing that he might be reading the thoughts of his own best friend, the black British Short hair cat; Nyo.

Carmilla had always been one to wake up early, much to the dismay of her fellow dorm occupants. She tended to be quiet but it seemed that all of the girls in her room were light sleepers. She rather enjoyed the breaks because she could get up as early as she liked and not have to worry about waking any one up.
Currently she was walking through the cold dark corridors, wrapped tightly in warm clothes. It was so cold in the stone hallways that she could see her breath turn to mist right in front of her face. She walked into the great hall, greatful that it was at least a little bit warmer in there and moved over to the Ravenclaw table, sitting down on a bench slowly then pouring herself a cup of tea.
She looked up at the teachers table and saw Professor Flitwick sitting up there and gave a small wave. She smiled slightly as he waved back then sipped her tea, minding her own business as she let the tea warm her from the inside out.

((Mmk, me posty now as night time!!! And lucky! Australia is awesome!!! Or so I've heard.))
After a day, a whole hard day, of work and studying ahead of time, Jack walked down to the library in silence. The ever lasting torch lights were sending something of a warm glimmer across the large room full of book cases. The red velvet carpet below Jack's feet was soft and warm, due to the heat sent throughout the huge room by the huge fire place at the heart of the library. Hogwarts was always a warm castle, and Jack was slightly, amazingly enough, happy. Jack slightly hoped that Carmilla would come along and meet him here, but he knew the chances were scarce. She was a Ravenclaw, from what professor Slughorn had told him, and Ravenclaw and Slytherin were bitter rivals. Not as bad as Gryffindor however. Jack hated it. Everything was a battle, battle of the sexes, ages, power, and houses. Nothing was equal. He just wished he had someone to talk to whenever he needed comfort. That’s what he needed. A really good friend...
Jack sat down on a large circular fluffy chair, a book in his hands. His gray sparkling eyes staring down at the cover page: "The History of the Dark Arts through the Ages." was the name imprinted in golden lettering on the brown leather cover. Jack had always been fascinated by the Dark Arts. The other book at his side was "The Irish National Quidditch Team." his favorite Quidditch team. Jack loved Quidditch; it was one of his favorite part of being part of the wizarding world. It was the only real wizard sport, and Jack was dazzled by it; the flying, the goals, the strategies, everything about it. And especially his broom, the Fire Bolt. His most prized possession his favorite strategy move was the Ronskie Faint. Used by Victor Crum as his signature move.

((Its awfully hot... Especially today. gonk I hate the heat. ))
The library was Carmilla's favourite place to be in the castle outside of her secret room. She always went their after the long days of classes and did her homework, and afterwards she would wander the many rows of bookshelves until she found a book that caught her interest, pulled it from the book shelf and made her way to a small dusty corner to read in peace, as people tended to over look her completely when she hid in the library. She didn't really have many friends that would come looking for her anyways. She was pretty much a loner, as she had always been for as long as she could remember.
Currently Carmilla was walking down a long isle of books, her fingertips tracing over the worn spines of the books as she read the titles, trying to find a new book to read, having read most of the titles in this section already. She stopped at a heavily worn and torn book and pulled it down from the shelf, opening it slowly to flick through carefully, examining its contents. There was no doubt it was old. Most of the words had faded it was so old. She placed it back up on the shelf and continued down along the row, coming across her favourite book, pulled it down and made her way across the library to her usual spot.

((Ah! I love the winter, it's all cold here. I can't wait till it snows! And mah B-day is in 11 days!!! Yay!!! I can't wait till January first! biggrin )) Jack looked up suddenly; he had heard someone wandering around the vast sea of book cases around him. He stood slowly and crept over to a book case, staring through a small gap in-between the books. He couldn't see anyone, but he could defiantly hear foot steps, the flipping of book pages, and the small clunk as books were set back onto their original position. Someone was defiantly there, he had no idea who though...

((I don't much like winter either. I'm more of an autumn person. confused I like snow oddly enough though, but It never snows in Sydney. ))
Carmilla had the slightest feeling she was being observed, but she couldn't think why. Who would observe her and for what reason? She was only minding her own business. She tried to shake off the feeling as she finally exited from the rows of bookshelves and walked across the open space in the middle of the library, making her way over to the large windows on the other side of the library, looking around slowly, observing all the people studying and reading at all of the tables and chairs.

((Well I like the winter so haw! And I like autumn to! I like every thing! But Winter is the best!)) Jack sighed, maybe it was just his imagination, no one would be here at this time of night, and everyone who was cool would be outside having snow ball fights in the dark. It must be fun, to have friends. But Jack didn't mind, he had one new friend and one really good cat friend, and that was all he thought he needed to live by. Then Jack saw a flourish of long black hair and a glint of purple, he didn't know many people who had black hair and purple eyes, but there was one person; his new friend Carmilla. Maybe she was the one walking around the library. He slightly hoped it was here, so he kept on peering through the gaps between the books, hoping she might see and recognize his gleaming gray eyes. Which he had realized, to his great astonishment; that she had made a slight gasp at the sight of his gray eyes. His relatives had always told him that he had the most beautiful eyes they had ever laid eyes on. Maybe she might remember them. But Jack didn't that she thought they were pretty, she barely knew him.

((Autumn is pretty with all the changing leaves and its nice and cool, but not too cold. 3nodding ))
Carmilla sat in the corner on a comfy chair and she pulled her wand out which lit up with the lumos spell even though she hadn't said a word or made a sound. The book she had picked up was on divination, but not just any sort, this book contained A lot of information of crystal balls and how to use them, and she was very proficient in reading from them. She placed it down on the table but she left it there rather then opening it and beginning to read.
The sense of being watched hadn't faded and usually these feelings of hers were right. She must have just been more sensitive in that sort of way. She looked back over at the book shelves where she had come from, trying to see if the person watching her was there, as that was were the feeling had come from in the first place. She noticed a flash of silver in between the gaps of the books and remembered the only person she knew with eyes that colour was Jack. She had loved the colour of his eyes, they were amazing, and they were like hers. Unusual.
She looked into those silver eyes that were watching her and gave a small nod, as if asking silently for him to come out and stop hiding.

((Yeah I know, but snow is even prettier!)) Jack blushed when he saw her nod at him. And he nodded so quickly, that he banged his head against the book case. He staggered away, holding his forehead, it really hurt. But he had to ignore that, a friend was asking him to come over to her. So, ignoring the lump on his head, he walked around his chair, around the book case, around the other book case, and over to Carmilla. She was sitting in the corner, right next to the fire place, a light orange glow was being sent over her body, making her look kind of like a candle.
He walked over to her and sat down on the floor next to her, his arms behind him and his hand holding his body up. He looked up at those deep purple eyes, what an odd color for eyes. But then again, Jack's eyes must've been strange to her as well. Her face was lost in the book she was clutching in both of her hands. She seemed to be examining the entire essence of the book. He loved to read to, but to a certain extent, but ah well, other people will be people. Jack smiled to himself, watching her read intently.
In a strange way, Carmilla seemed to be the same as Jack in some ways. She was generally silent from what he saw, not as silent as he was, the wanna-be mute; and she loved to read. She seemed like a really nice person, and like him, just not spoken too much for lake of speaking on her part.
