Vincent Valentine-Jenova Meriko I have my moments when I'm just not sure about Thomas and the other trains. Some of them are such...non-role-models for children. And there's one episode where Diesel gets away with slander and manages to get another train sent away for no real reason. His lies are never found out, so either I'm misunderstanding something or the moral got left out of that episode in a big way. @_@ I don't remember it being all too bad... But then again, I only watched it when I was really young. The thing I remember the most are the books I had off of the series and one pop-up... not really a book, because there was only one area, but it had many different things to play with in it. You jsut had to find them all. I watched that religiously when I was a kid. And from what I've seen, when they do something wrong, they get in trouble and learn their lesson. I haven't seen that particular one but...if I do I'll look for what the message is.
I could probably watch all of them too because Greg's dad is obsessed with trains, and has all the episodes. heart I must sit down with them and watch them someday. *feels like a kid again*Izumi-Hanae Ever imagined what Thomas the Tank Engine's outtakes were like when Carlin was the narrator? LOL that's a very good question. ^_^
*also gives Bri-chan a hug* crying

Sometimes it's hard to pick up on these kinds of things unless you're a parent yourself, I think. surprised
I don't think I ever watched Thomas the Tank, but I don't remember what happened last week, much less when I was a kid. sweatdrop
I do remember watching Gummi Bears, Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales...lots of Disney stuff.

I used to be obsessed with trains. I have a Brio wooden train set, and I watched Thomas all the time.
But then again I was obsessed with Art and Science then too. I used to watch Pappys Land, and Magic School Bus all the time.
Konami: I watched Rescue Rangers and Duck Tales all the time as well!

An example of not picking up on kid shows until your an adult:
Watch just about any episode of Rugrats nowadays, and you'll hear things like Angelica's mom saying: "Well you know what they say, born under Venus, look for a" and her phone rings.
There is so much perversion in children's shows, it's not even funny. Okay, well it's actually hilarious. But you get my point. rofl

Disney movies are bad too.

rofl that quote that Alex said is from Rugrats: The Movie, the one where Dill Pickles is born into the world whee It's said during the baby shower and everyone thinks DeeDee will have a boy, even though the doctor said she was expecting a girl. ..... dont ask me why i know this... ninja
i really miss the good old days when the cartoons i watched were Carebears, Gummie Bears, Muppet Babies, Duck Tails, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, Tail Spin... etc etc..

*changed into my Big Boss cosplay* XD
I watched Thomas mostly, but also Sesame Street, Lambchop, and the Big Comfy Couch.
I can't remember any others for now though...I never really liked Rugrats just because even as a kid it disgusted me. rofl
Of course now I watch cartoons sometimes and just think "wow...kids watch this crap?" I still find some older cartoons hilarious, but I won't watch them every time they're on on my TV.
In fact I don't watch much TV anymore...ONLY for new episodes of CSI: Miami. ^_^"
I also miss all the old Cartoon Cartoons on Cartoon Network. Like Johnny Bravo, the old episodes of Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd & Eddy, and probably a few more. I also loved watching Scooby Doo as a kid...and I still enjoy that show. ^_^

Lady Evelyn Nyht Re-watched any of the older Disney movies, like Peter Pan... God that kid was a p***k! I've never actually watched Peter Pan, but I read the book and I thought he was a p***k. So, I never wanted to watch Peter Pan for that reason. Tink is also an a**, but she has a reason to be at least.
Edit: Ooooo. Just one more reason to hate Vegas "Please Email your measurements, resume and a couple pictures also a good contact number to get a hold of you. " That was on a job posting on graigslist. Damn... I've been looking for a job since I got back here on May 18th... Nothing. Not even fast food...

Oh don't get me started on those Disney movies. I love 'em but...MAN...*lol*
Like my favorite one, The Hunchback of Notre Dame...THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE A DISNEY MOVIE. For one, we have Frollo, this creepy old guy lusting over Esmerelda...then there's also quite a bit of violence due to like...y'know, the gypsies and the Catholic church and whatnot.
I think Aladdin, in the first one, says "b***h" at one part but it's right when the gag goes over his mouth but...the mumble I heard sounded like that word...^_^" My friend thinks so too.
And I'm sure everyone knows about the Little Mermaid...and if not well...basically in the wedding scene, the priest is a little too excited to see Ursula...>_<
I can't think of any more for now but...you know...so many "kid" movies have things only adults would get.
I was appalled watching Bee Movie. I mean, I liked it...but the jokes were so adult...but I know...kids won't get it. The jokes will just fly over their head.

Eleka nahmen nahmen a tum a tum eleka nahmen......You'd be surprised about Bee Movie. When I went to the theater to see that movie, EVERYONE, and I do mean EVERYONE, was laughing at the jokes. Even the little kids. o_____o;;
But on another note, there's also tons of innuendo in Toy Story. ^^;; **watched that recently** XD;; Eleka nahmen nahmen a tum a tum eleka nahmen...

O.o wow...
Those kids must either know a LOT of adult things...or were just laughing because the wording sounded funny. I know I used to do that, or when a kid I know doesn't know anything about adult innuendo (like my cousins or something)...
Heh I want to watch Toy Story now. ^_^

Well, I didn't get that job. And I wouldn't be upset over it, because my best friend got it. But I'm pissed because the manager said that he would call either way. So, he called my friend, and told her that she got the job, and not to tell me, and that he would call me. But that was over five hours ago. So, apparently I'm not worth the one minute it would take to call me and say that I didn't get the job.
