Darkened Angel So, it's like the Matrix, but in someone's mind rather than a virtual world, so it doesn't make sense that it's realistic? not really, in a dream you can be anywhere, a space station, Mordor, Hell, Heaven, future, past, mushroom kingdom, anywhere and since all the dream took place in modern realistic locations is a bit of a waste.

Missing hasn't added something important about the dream existence that might be important to know though.
The concept is you go into someone else's dream, so you have to stick to the theme of that person's existence. The more the dream "changes" the more that person knows and attempts to resist. While one can argue that the more realistic a dream, the less likely for this weird stuff to happen, that assumes most people dream normal-ish events.
I.E. a person dreams and a giant fish lands in the world, that's odd, so if you don't want them to realize this, you don't just poof a fish in. but you have to wonder, if they already are aware that they are dreaming, the idea that the dream now is more hostile sounds a bit off.
I promise you'll understand why I suggest things when you see it. But for now, if your weapons are able to manifest because of your creativity ("you'll have to dream a little bigger, darling" with the grenade launcher), why not dream up... oh... BULLETPROOF VESTS?

I went with simple logic: How is it that the kids are always the same age, wearing the same clothes, as the day he left? Despite the fact the daughter sounded much older than the 3 years old she was they claimed on the phone?

If his powers from the ring are powered by will, why not simply will better firepower into being?
