Carmilla looked at the cat curiously and watched the interaction between both of them quietly. When Nyo climbed up onto Jack's face she couldn't help but giggle softly, it was kind of funny after all. "Sorry she mumbled when she was able to stop laughing.
She picked Nyo up gently and rested him in her arms, looking down at him with a warm smile. "Hello Nyo. Its nice to meet you." She said softly and pet his soft fur a few time before just holding onto him lightly.
"Nyo is beautiful, Jack." She looked at him with a smile. She had always liked cats.
((Sorry but I need to be heading to bed, I should be back on within the next few hours though. ))

"He's more stupid that beautiful. Aren't you Nyo?" Said Jack in an amused voice; Nyo meowed reproachfully in reply to Jack's words. But it was true, Nyo had done some very insane things over the years that Jack had owned him.
Nyo turned back to Carmilla and licked her hand softly. Jack sighed and flipped over on his side, facing the hearth fire. Which was crackling, it sent a warm feeling through Jack, he hadn't been in this kind of quite for a long, long time.

((I slept more then I thought I would. X_x ))
Carmilla gave a small laugh and continued to pet Nyo softly, even after he had licked her hand. it was nice that they were finally talking, even if it was about Nyo. It was nice to have someone to talk to after such a long time of being at Hogwarts. "Well I think hes beautiful.." She said in a soft voice and put Nyo down in her lap lightly, her hand resting in his fur lightly.
She then looked over at Jack, the fire making her purple eyes seem as if they were metallic. "You okay Jack?" She asked quietly, frowning slightly.

Jack remained still, he seemed to be frozen, lost in thought. Nyo slinked stealthily off Carmilla' lap and trotted over to Jack, meowing softly. Then he climbed onto Jack's side. Purring softly, he pawed at Jack's shoulder, willing him to move. But Jack was still motionless.
Then suddenly he rolled over onto his belly and started to literally sob silently into the carpet; making the carpet around him become a darker shade of its color. His whole body was shuddering, and tears were gushing silently from his eyes. Jack had no idea why he was crying, he hadn't cried in months and months. Maybe, all of it that was held in just suddenly came out...

Carmilla became really worried. She didn't know much about jack which made it harder for her to tell what was wrong, but when he started crying she was at a loss of what was the right thing to do.
After a moment she moved closer to him and rested a hand lightly on his shoulder, being the only thing she could think of that might calm him at the moment. "Jack?" she called softly while watching him.

Jack shook his head, still sobbing silently. He didn't know why he was shaking his head, but he didn't know why he was crying anyway. So maybe it made up for the fact that he had started bawling like a little kid. He sat up, wiping his eyes; "S-sorry..." he murmured softly. His voice was cracked and his eyes were red, tears still rolled gently down his cheeks.

She let her hand fall from his shoulder slowly but she moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around him in a loose hug, hoping that it would calm him down some, since she always felt better after one of her mothers hugs. Perhaps it could help Jack? "Why are you apologising?" She asked quietly, since her head was right next to his and she was practically speaking right into his ear.

Jack, slightly confused, started to blush bright red, she had just hugged him. He sat there, dumbfounded, "What?" was all that he could say. Then he accepted that it was just a friendly hug, and he relaxed: "I... I don't... I don't know..." his eyes were still filled with tears, but his shaking had decreased a bit. He now shuddered in intervals.

Carmilla rested her head on his shoulder lightly and continued to hold him, as she would until he had stopped crying, if he would let her. She rubbed his back slowly while trying to comfort him. "Just let it all out.." She said in a comforting voice, closing her eyes and relaxing against him, hoping it would help him to relax as well, even though he seemed to be calming down already.
Her cheeks were flushed as she realised how close she was to Jack, she had never been so close to someone of the opposite sex, and she figured it was a bad time to be thinking about something like that when Jack obviously wasn't alright.

Jack looked at Carmilla, and then closed his eyes. After about ten minutes of silence, Jack's bawling had reduced to simple sniffling. He had stopped crying finally, Real nice Jack. Good job, now you must look like a complete wimp. Wow, what a good first impression; first knocking her over, then not speaking, and now this?! What's wrong with you Jack!?
"I- I'm really sorry..." he spoke softly, his lips barely moving. Nothing could've prepared him for this to happen today. On the most boring of days, this day turned out to end with him making a new friend, and openly sobbing in front of her. The sun was setting in the horizon; the sky was turning to a mixture of orange and purple; making a deep soothing hazel nut color. Nyo yawned softly, snuggling up to Jack's waist.

Carmilla let jack go and moved back to sit in front of him on her knees. She was smiling warmly at him and shaking her head slowly, her hair falling into her face slowly. "No need to apologise." She said softly while looking into his eyes. "Its better to let your emotions out then keep them inside." She would have liked to have known what it was that had caused him to cry but she was way to polite to ask, instead she opted to comfort him as it was the only other thing she could have done.
