Mine is coming along fairly well. I still need to finish up after the 2nd war, and write up some stuff for Nestor/Julian and the robot.....and finish the Talents thing.

Heya guys! I'm still in training, not qualified, but my own teacher knows what I'm capable of so she keeps abandoning me to teach classes flying solo... so I've been teaching completely impromptu and unscripted, hence why the prospect of getting organised and planning is a bit daunting. I've somehow gotten used to being dropped on my head in the deep end, LMAO.

Then last week she called me to let me know the headmistress is so pleased with my work she wants me to take on a couple of semi-permanent positions. There's a few options on the cards, but most likely I'll be teaching Classics to the Latin students and also forming and managing a choir in the run-up to Christmas and beyond. The qualification I'm working towards is solely to be an accredited teacher of Drama, so I'm not quite sure I'll be able to use any of this experience in my coursework/case studies towards my qualification (MAYBE the choir stuff), but it's still great experience and of course, teachers need to be nothing if not flexible mrgreen

@Red I'm working at our equivalent of a high school, so I'm teaching a wide range between the ages of 11-17. Aside from classes I'm also working with my teacher's private students, one-on-one, particularly one girl who's putting together a performance based on Greek literature. So far though my main use to my teacher has been taking larger groups of students, which frees her up to focus on the one-to-one sessions. One of my first tasks was to prepare three groups of teams for a public speaking competition... two of the kids I taught personally got Best Speaker and Best Chairperson, and the Best Speaker's team came second best overall!! God, I was so proud, you have no idea. Teaching really is rewarding when it all goes right =w=

@Hana & Bapp First of all, sorry I stickied the thread without posting about it!! It was just an impulsive thing seeing as I sticked it last year... sorry if it caused too muchc onfusion D: Secondly *facepalm* I didnt intend this to get aired in the forums. Basically Bapp's Santa from last year told me last night that she wouldn't be participating this year because what happened last year upset her a lot. I said I'd tell Hana if I saw her on MSN and remembered. And now it's ended up out here! So I might as well tell the full story for everyone! GATHER 'ROUND, CHILDREN

Basically the problem last year started when everything on Bapp's wishlist was too expensive for his Santa. So they decided as a joke to send him a lump of coal, before sending him his real present, which I believe was some kind of sword or weapon or something. Bapp saw his gag gift and was NOT happy. His Santa was worried about how upset he was, so they sent his real gift when it became obvious he wasnt getting the joke. Bapp never acknowledged it or said thank you. He posted in the thread theorising that it was either Mab, a friend who might just have pulled such a stunt, or me, because I quite infamously pick on him every chance that I get!

However, it was NOT me. I actually had Storm, and sent him a very fetching black bustier, which I'm sure he treasures to this day. ;D I almost wish it WAS me, though, having seen the results Bapp's behaviour had on his Santa. I wouldn't've given a damn if he couldn't take a joke at my hands. His Santa, however, is made of softer stuff than me, and it upset them a lot.

And no, Bapp, you are very rarely intentionally an asshat.

This is of course only one side of the story, so I'd be interested to hear what Bapp has to say about all of this. I'M SURE THERE'S A PERFECTLY REASONABLE EXPANATION AND WE CAN ALL LAUGH ABOUT THIS OHOHOHOHO. Maybe it's best this ended up in the open, since now we can hear the other side of the story.

(The reason I know so much about this is because everybody tends to come to me with any problems arising from the guild... which is something I'd encourage! If I can help anybody with anything, I will blaugh And it's always better to talk than to bottle things up.)

At the time it seemed really childish and that you were sulking after the exchange because of the whole gag gift thing, and along the way it seemed like there were a few hurt feelings, but probably there was a totally reasonable explanation like RL... Like Lorika suggested.
Like I said, I was totally uncool and I'm really sorry. I really thought I had good intentions and then they got lost along the way.
