Also: My History professor is now one of my favorite instructors.
He brought swords with him to the first day of class. xd

I did get drunk.
I didn't stay hydrated like I usually do when I'm drinking. It was a lot of fun though, so much fun I forgot to drink a glass of water for every drink I had, which wasn't many. I don't drink much, but when I do...3 or 4 drinks does me in.
I feel much better now, but I'm hungry, so I think I might grab something to eat.

Question: How God-modish would it be to be able to put characters to sleep? Because several RPers seem not to like the idea.

It'd be godmodding if you just did it, unless you had permission to do it.
A lot of people don't like things done to their characters that could put their character into a position where anything could happen, so like I said..asking permission is always good.
Were you just planning on doing it in an RP or are you planning on using this as a fighting ability?
If you were planning on it being a fighting ability that could be a touchy one.

Well, honestly, it depends HOW you're putting them to sleep. If you simply use a Word of God-esque technique to simply order everyone within the sound of your voice to sleep, then yes, that's God-modish.
But, heck, in something as mainstream as D&D, Sleep is a relatively low-level spell, and the victims usually wake up if disturbed. It can usually be contested by a contest of will, but generally, I would use certain factors, like how fatigued the victim is, their race (Elves don't sleep according to some. Neither does Chuck Norris for completely different reasons), current stimuli (a quiet mountain dojo would be more serene than the roar of ten thousand spectators), etc.
If people can't RP properly to allow sleep effects to be permitted, then its their fault, not yours. Because I'll be darned if I ever consider getting hit with a sleep spell to be more broken than getting hit by a fireball spell.
[EDIT] - Based on what Ms. Pocket said, I'll also suggest this as well: Let the targets decide for themselves. If they somehow see themselves above the need for sleep, then so be it. Let that speak for them, not for you.

Interesting fact: A sleep effect is how themightyjello, as Joshua, incapacitated Rain in HoH 07, and pull out the victory that he did.

Well, it's part of a three-part special technique of my character's. The preliminary step, putting them to sleep, takes four posts in itself so as to even the outcome. It's a necessary action, because my character continues on to search for fear-inspiring components within their memories, which run wild in this trance, and then brings them to life...
