Got another Blizzard-related phishing email in my junk folder. This time it was actually very convincing. It said I had paid for a character faction transfer. The email was very authentic and the link even looked legit. So much so that I even checked on my account on the WoW site just to make sure no one had hacked my account, resubscribed, and started playing it. Of course, no one did. But I had to make sure.

I've gotten 10 of those now. 4 of which came after the " final warning " one.
I also got one from NCSoft.
I think it's just an influx of scammers being active.

It's interesting. I haven't accessed anything BLizzard for over a year, and never had any problems with phishers during that time. Now, however, I'm getting spammed up the a**.

If I had to guess, a gold seller company got info for email addresses and just decided to attempt spamming all they got. My junk email, which I've used for things that would spam it, like Treasure Trooper's survey links, has gotten a total of 11. 10 for WoW, 1 for NCSoft.
