I haven't watched in a while. XD I watch it just to keep a perspective on both sides though the anime can't even begin to compare. I wish it didn't annoy me as much D':

((Ehhh... I don't get why the anime annoys you so much, LO.
On that note, I don't care how popular Hetalia gets, or how many annoying fans there are, or how many people hate it, it's not going to change how I feel about it. Sure, I hate batshit fans as much as the next person, but that still shouldn't affect what I like.

Also, the Korean missile launches from earlier this year came AFTER the big controversy about Korea in Hetalia. Like, a few months after. The Hetalia controversy was in December or January, the satellite launch, nuclear test, and missile test were in April, May, and July, respectively.
Also... The Korean character in Hetalia personifies South Korea. North Korea was the one launching satellites and missiles. I don't know exactly how the backlash went and if it was from Koreans in general or only the South Koreans whose country was actually being personified, but...
Well, get your facts straight before you start saying things.
